Good location , service was good got us into room early , room was clean
Ask for a room on an upper floor with a view of the city. Pay for the breakfast and parking at check in.
Great location. Comfy rooms. Bartenders are ridiculously slow though.
Beautiful hotel ...the pillows were my favorite.. very very clean definite five stars
This Sheraton was very overpriced and had outdated furnishings. No refrigerator, you could hear everyone in the hallways, extremely overpriced parking, 50$ per night!!! I do not recommend this hotel..we stayed at better hotels for 1/3 of the cost.
location was great. I found used contact lenses in the bathroom.
Easy check-in and clean room. Hallways need some touch ups but overall good experience
Friendly staff; quiet, spacious and fairly clean rooms. Definitely suggested.
Scrapped paint on door, stained carpet with wrinkles, Halls have scratched old wall paper.
Great location! Average room. Nothing else really nice to say. We pre-requested a fridge and didn't get one. They said we could have one sent up. It took 4times of asking and almost 36 hrs to get one. By then, we really did need it. The second day, there was an "emergency situation" that they announced while the fire alarms were going off. We were told to remain in our rooms until the "situation" can be verified. After a half hour, they announced that it was ok to leave our rooms. We later found out there was a fire in the building. Thank you for keeping us contained while there was a fire in the building. This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. The view was nice, but you could barely see it through all the dirt in the windows.
Had a wonderful stay. At first glance, the room was great. The beds were comfortable.Great location, cheapest rate compared to other hotels, nice lobby with bar and you can get food until 11pm. Comfortable beds, rooms were fine.
I do not recommend this hotel. No service on Memorial weekend! Dated look, very old and uncomfortable beds and pillows. Staff complained about being tired and wanting to go home. SPG member club lounge served no food during the memorial weekend but referred us to the terrible Starbucks in the lobby! Don't bother!
I would never stay at this Sheraton again and possibly any other Sheraton. It's was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. We were told there were no king sized beds available when we booked months in advance. We also asked again the day we checked in, still we were told none were available. Then another guest in out party received a king sized bed without any request and with a last minute booking. So my fiancee and I spent the weekend in a full bed, not even a queen. Also, they hotel completely forgot our room service breakfast the first morning, we waited two hours and had to call three different times to find out where it was. They then said they would not charge us for the inconvenience, but they did, and they also charged us $50 every other day we stayed because they "assumed" we would order breakfast everyday after that (which we did not). FYI they also automatically add a 30% fee to your daily room rate for incidentals, so watch out if you are on a tight budget.
I love this place it was clean and the staff was very friendly and professional.
Wonderful location and views. Very reasonable price for the center of the city. However, the low price attracts party groups. No refrigerator. Breakfast for two costs the same as a room in a cheap motel and tasted like a breakfast in a cheap motel would.
Was there with a large club, many friends had rooms with "issues" especially cleanliness. One room had clearly been smoked in, since it reeked and had the smoke detector covered with a trash bag, other rooms had roaches, one had a diaper hidden under the bed. Additionally only half the elevators seemed to work, and if you are on a lower level, they'll all be full by the time they get to your floor when everyone's checking out Sunday. Best ride it to the top and start there. Plus, what kinda hotel doesn't have a refrigerator in the room? Especially for what they were asking per night.
Gorgeous building, great accommodations for the events. Comfortable feeling all around. Daytime bar staff left much to be desired, but that was the only downside.
No mini fridge in the rooms, my cards never work I have to walk down to the lobby every time
Decent conference hotel, good location, clean and friendly. The food was mediocre and predictable (same limited buffet options every day for three days), and good luck finding a balanced meal if you're a vegan. If you're a traveler looking for a place with personality, this hotel is not for you. It is, however, a reasonable mid-range option for personal or business travel.
Loved the hotel. Very clean and the hotel was huge. The room was a decent size. Only thing i did not like was the fact that you had to pay for parking. I feel as though as a guest i should not have to pay a parking fee plus a hotel fee.
Spent 45 minutes waiting in line to check in. Finally get to the desk takes 3 minutes to get me keys, come to find out the rooms already occupied. I ve been holding on the guest services phone for over 10 minutes with no reply from anyone and need to leave for a wedding photo shoot. Terrible service would not recommend to anyone.
Great place to hold a conference! Beautiful hotel with a cafe downstairs and a rooftop catering hall with amazing views of Philly.
Great service. My original room smelled like cigarette smoke. Not super strong but enough that smelling it constantly have me a headache. I went to the service desk and let Michael know and he immediately began looking for another room for me to stay in. I didn't even have to ask. Not only was he able and willing to put me in another room, it was on a higher floor with a great view. So, thanks, Michael!
Nice hotel in the heart of city center Philly! Walking distance to just about everything. Service was good, rooms were nice but needs individual microwaves and refrigerators, at least refrigerators but they do offer food storage at front desk so that helps. Lots of fast elevators so travel to and from rooms is good, especially helps when it's busy.
Was a decent experience, room service was pricey but the food was good. Overall not a bad stay and will stay here again.
It was good the affair was great night's venue the food was good
The service was very friendly and professional. The rooms were great, comfortable and affordable. Great place to stay
The hotel features a nice open lobby, with a fair amount of activity but not overwhelming. Check-in was quick and painless, and the room was reasonably sized. The location seems to be on the edge of the central downtown area, but everything is very walkable.
They charged for everything there was no refrigerator nor microwave in room what we enjoyed was the pool only!
I stayed at the Philadelphia 201 Hotel during the July 4th holiday. I was with a group of of over 850 people for a convention held there. The check in was delayed because we requested a better room and that was fine. Additionally, the attendant at the desk was very helpful, polite and courteous. It's always good to give positive experiences too.
We got to our room and it was all downhill from there. The carpet was horrible!! It was both buckled and soiled. There wasn't a safe in our room, nor a refrigerator. The drains in the bathtub and sink were both clogged. The faucet in the bathroom leaked every time we used it causing the counter to flood and wetting everything we stored on it. They had to replace our tissues as a result and luckily it did not do any damage to our belonging stored there. We were out of soap a day later and went outside to get one of your associates, who tends the rooms to ask for more soap. She said she did not have any. We asked okay what do we do and she shrugged her shoulders and said she didn't know. We did reach out to the manager and we got soap sent to our room. Another issue we encountered was the ice machines. Most of them did not work and we had to go to other floors to get ice.
Our convention had all the ballrooms booked for the event and the Philadelphia room A, I believe, was lacking cool air more often than not. Have you ever tried to dance in a hot muggy room over a period of several hours? We contacted the event manager several times to help rectify the issue. It was hit and miss. We also learned there was no pool to use as it was under renovation. A real disappointment for many since it was a hot and muggy 4th. A pool available to us would have been so welcome. So disappointing!!! Each time we told them we had an issue, we were greeted with, sorry to hear but we are under renovations. I understand you want to renovate and believe me I can agree with that. So our experience was not up to par with what we expect from a hotel as the Marriott. I can understand if we booked a Motel 6 or the Red Roof Inn, then that would be forgiving as it would be what we expect and why we don't frequent them, but this is not.
We stayed in room 2023 under the name xxxxxxxx. I am David's partner, John Toman. I just wanted to share with you, our experience at your hotel and say we would not, at this time, recommend it to anyone.
Sincerely,
John Toman
My parents and I stayed here for a couple of days for my birthday. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the views were spectacular! Worth much more than the cost of our rooms! Location was very convenient.
The staff honestly went above and beyond to make our visit special. When the manager found out it was my birthday, she went out of her way to make sure were taken care of - offering some free treats and even leaving me with a surprise, hand-written note before we left! I was blown away. She was so sweet and thoughtful.
Highly recommend this hotel! Especially for a special occasion!
Clean and comfy hotel with big beds and nice view of everything. Easy check in check out process, everything went smooth. Would go again.
Even though I booked a room with a king bed, I was given a room with two double beds. Beds were uncomfortable. Room was warm.
They room stated it had more than it actually had (microwave and such). Very simple rooms. Bed, bathroom and TV. Wifi is pay to use. Otherwise okay for those simple needs.
Stay away from this hotel & all Sheraton/Starwood/Marriott brand company. Their lack of customer service and responsibility to fix a mistake they did shows customers are not valued. Stayed here on business on 2/13 for 1 night & as of now still trying to fix a Credit Card error. I get things happen but to have it go this long to get it fix is ridiculous. I have complied of what they asked me to do within the week of stay to fix it. As of now still nothing. I ve called/emailed and still not fixed.I travel often for business and will never choose them again. I d rather pay more at a different hotel. They really don t have any special amenities that other hotel brands don t already have so why not stay at a hotel where you are valued with the money you spend there?
We have stayed here on more than one occasion, and have always had an excellent room and excellent service! The hotel staff was very helpful and extremely friendly! We will stay here again.
An absolute disgrace of a hotel! Whoever is the management or head of housekeeping of this hotel needs a serious reality check of the cleanliness and quality of service they are providing their guests. Had to move rooms 3 times due to the lack of cleanliness in each room such as stains on bedding and carpeting that had been tried to cover up and faulty heating and airconditioning also resulted in the move, which was resolved unprofessionally by staff members. During our third move we bumped into a patron in the elevator who assumed we had just checked in and she warned us to check our bedding and room as she had found a blood stain on her bed sheets, she too had moved rooms 3 times and was shocked when she found out we were in a similar situation. This highlights the lack of care from management as it is clear cleanliness in this hotel is a major problem that is not being addressed. Never coming back! And if we had the optioned would ve checked out the first night of our stay.
We had a great stay here, one of the first "Spg" hotels to treat my "gold" status with something other then contempt.
We visited for a weekend during PAX Unplugged. There were several problems with our stay.
1. Upon arrival, the room they gave us (I had reserved a club level room) had obviously not been cleaned from the previous occupants. Since they were full up, they rebooked us into a lower class room. And only refunded the difference after I asked.
1a. They did offer to rebook us into the room I asked the next day, however I pointed out that wouldn't help since we weren't going to be there during the day to move our stuff.
2. "Enjoy access to the club lounge with grab and go snacks" is from their website. The grab and go snacks was laughable. There was one apple and a bottle of water. It was obviously not kept stocked.
3. The room had the ceiling peeling, and the shower head was falling off the wall. Ceiling on top of bathtub was rusted and in disrepair. Noise was definitely easy to hear through the walls. You could tell whenever someone showered or had a medium conversation in the rooms above or below.
This Sheraton hotel at downtown Philadelphia is so out dated and repellent! First, The carpet was stained everywhere and bed sheets were dirty! We asked to change room so they put me at the same 6th floor handicapped room! It s better but still.... we took some pictures, they try to fit 2 double beds into small room! One of bed is next to the air condition, when fan blow, it blow the curtain, just disgusting.... after 1 night stay, we were so disgusted about hotel! So disappointed! The photo show on their website look so nice and updated but totally not true!
just way to over crowded... beds not great at all... service is ok.
I would warn anyone who was looking to stay at this hotel: DO NOT!! I stayed here for the marathon. Very very very cold and wet I went to take a nice hot shower post marathon and apparently there was NO hot water. On the verge of hypothermia I had to take the hair dyer and blast it on me to get warm. After no hot water, we also could not watch tv. All the TVs were out. On top of no tv or hot water the lady at the front desk informed me at least you have a bed to stay in . I will never stay at this hotel again and will warn all runners who are running the Philadelphia marathon to stay clear!!!
This hotel is kept as clean as possible given the condition of the hotel. However, it needs new carpet. The rooms are very dark and the plugs are in horrible locations.
Convenient to expressway. The parking lot is currently under construction.
Great hotel and reasonable rates. Especially when you book second and third party. Plenty of restaurants and shops within the vicinity (2-4 blocks) also.
Beautiful hotel with great views of the city. Clean, spacious rooms. Very courteous and helpful staff. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again.
Pretty good hotel. They are updating rooms and have real 4 star service.
Really good rates, good service, parking is really expensive, there are cheaper options very close by
Upon arrival, the front desk person had no clue what a first responder rate was and whether or not they had one . We were told that we were put in an upgraded room. Which was smoke filled and badly covered up with some lavender concoction that gave me a headache. 1 towel, no wash cloths and dirty floor followed. We were moved when asked and got a late check out but WOW!! My bad for assuming that things would be way more up to par with no business for the last few months... won't be back there
Room wasn't ready on time. Then they rented our room out to someone else who came in our room at night and our keys stopped working wifi is overpriced and service was nonexistent.
Such great staff and service! They have treated us nice from the moment we walked in. Truthfully, I have not had such great service from people at a big hotel. They let us in our rooms in the morning, they comped my mom's coffee, and when we tried to thank them, they thanked us. The rooms are clean and the bed comfy. The amenities have been perfect.
Terribly dirty and didn't even get the room that I had booked.
Prior to Sheraton, now 201, excellent service and very comfortable rooms
Very convenient location to the waterfront where I was heading and also to all of the downtown attractions of Philly!
This hotel is transitioning to a Marriott. During this transition, we experienced a terribly slow check in experience, no offers for Marriott Bonvoy members, and we had to switch our room as the first room was dirty, old, and across the hall from gym and we could hear every conversation outside our door.
Place was loud and staff partly not friendly. Room was worn off. Overall not a giid experience
Beautiful hotel. Great service. Nice pool. Good experience.
Reasonable decor, helpful and friendly staff. The parking garage is a horror movie, but it's functional.
The rooms are ok.the carpet is really old and needs to be replaced. Rooms could use nee paint. It just seems like they aren't trying too hard. Thankfully, everything read clean and the staff was friendly.
Hotel is the old sheraton downtown. Basic hotel - lots of issues with water, TV. Many floors being renovated .. some floors are updated. Have heard instances of fire alarms going off in the middle of the night. It is an SPG/Marriott hotel but needs some upgrades.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. I will absolutely stay here again when I'm in town!
This is really a nice hotel clean rooms very clean in the bathrooms and the staff was very helpful and friendly
The best place chosen by AHA for Resuscitation Science Symposium, Philadelphia 2019. Snacks were delicious during breaks and overall ambience was great looking.
Solid building and high rise hotel, looks and feels great. Excellent location in downtown Philadelphia. Great lobby meant for lounging. Don't need a car for downtown wandering.
Worst hotel ever. Dirty, long waits, and extra charges.
They don't regularly clean the hotel rooms, and even when they do, it's incomplete, not replacing shampoo/conditioner, etc. The room was dirty, balls of debris on the wall, etc. I waited in line for about 1.5 hours to check in, then the key stopped working half way through for no reason and I had to wait in line again to be able to get back in my room. Also, when I checked out, I found out that they included extra charges that should not have been on there. They ended up removing the erroneous charges but charged me for an extra night and will not correct that error.
