Is a nice place to bring the family's together & a school field trip too
Did not give rides till closing time. The rest was excellent.
F...ing awesome zoo a lil pricey but beats the hell out of the Phoenix zoo
Good food.
Must order the onion ring appetizer.
You will not regret it
We truly loved the zoo. It is low key and the sows were cute. Everyone was relaxed and enjoying a beautiful day at the zoo. Definitely recommend for those who love a different kind of zoo.
Amazing zoo my kids always enjoy going there. It's gotten so large now with the extra added animals we normally get there at opening time and leave until about 4-5 pm. So take plenty of water and snacks for your kids.
The line to get in doesn't move. Only 2 tickets windows. I hear you can pre purchase tickets. The park is pretty cool. But you'll be frustrated by the time you get in the park cause of the darn line!
Overpriced. Too many different types of birds. Too many same species animals. Not worth the price. 99% of the paths are dirt paths. We swallowed a bunch of dust our throats were hurting halfway through the park. Not enough trees either so not enough shade.
Good day with the kids, the sea lion show was a bust - you can safely skip that.
Loved the up close access to the animals and the encounter areas looked well taken care. Lots of choices for lunch and snacks. Hated that visitors had thrown their trash in front of and on top of enclosures.
Great day. It's worth coming from Washington to go.
It was fun but disappointed because all the rides were closed
Wildlife World Zoo in Phoenix is much more than a zoo. It's also an aquarium, safari park and amusement park.
Fun time to behaved by people of all ages.
Plus I feel like you get a closer encounter with the animals that you don't get from other zoos.
loved everything but the prices. Almost 100 for 2 people is ridiculous. Then another 40 for a kids meal and 2 apps
Nice place to spend the day. A little too pricey if you ask me.
Nice place
Prices keep climbing so getting iffy on value
It was pretty fun for all the kids. Had some neat animals.
Way bigger than expected, with a wider variety of animals than I expected!! A must to visit again!
For as much as the tickets cost, it's a little disappointing that the tram, the train, and many other rides and attractions cost additional money. Nearly $40 per person admission fee is a little steep for this particular park. Many of the more interesting exhibits (tigers, rhinos, ect) are difficult to see through the foliage.
It's still a fun day out, and will take you almost a whole day to experience everything this place now has to offer with all of the expansions to the park. The train and tram will allow you get a better view and experience so I recommend them.
If you love BBQ wings, we think these are the best in town. Just enough heat to make you want to eat more. Service is great. I love the ambiance. The big shark tank is incredible and all the mirrors make you feel like you are in a shark grotto.
We LOVE this zoo! This is our 3rd year being members and we're so happy to be back after the long closure for covid-19. Compared to the other zoo in town, I'd pick this one any day. The zoo is HUGE, so there's so much to see, it's hard to see everything in one day, which is nice being members, because we can go to one or two sections each time and not feel like we're seeing the same things every single time. We love how close all the animals are, so you can actually see and interact with them and as members, we get to see them grow and change over time, which is so cool. There's plenty of shade and places to sit and watch the animals. Fun shows and rides and A/C in the aquarium buildings to escape the heat during the hotter months!
The ONE thing I wish is that the employees constantly driving around would be a little friendlier....they NEVER wave or even smile at anyone...although all the people doing the shows and managing the rides have been great.
My kids are 9, 5, and 2, so we plan on being members for a few years to come now and are hoping the prices don't go up TOO much every year, cause last year they went up quite a bit and it was a big jump for a family of 4-5.
Many of their animals are rescues and they have new babies to see every year!
We love that you can bring in snacks and drinks and don't have to worry about paying a crazy amount for junk food at the in zoo restaurants, although one of their restaurants actually has pretty decent mexican food! We frequently run into Dillon's in the middle of our trip for a snack (and a beer) and then finish walking around after a nice little break!
All in all, we'd pick this zoo a million times over the other one and recommend it to everyone!
Great looking zoo. Fun activities. Lots of animal babies.
This place has gotten so big over the years! One of the best zoos I know of, and certainly the best in AZ.
Very fun and lots hands on activities such as petting rays and feeding llamas and birds. The rides are extra $ (as assumed) but the whole place is giant and you don't need the rides to have a good time.
The zoo itself is okay and has some cool features, such as the baby animal nursery and the big cats having walkways above you. Not the cost though, almost $40/ticket for entrance and nothing is included. Tram, train, rides - all cost additional money.
I wish they had elephants but it is was nice to all the other animals.
This is the most amazing zoo I ever been to and I miss it so much now that I don't live in the area. The animals are actually happy and they have so many babies that you get to see all the time. And there are a ton of experiences that you can have being much closer to the animals with less cages than other zoos.
Very extension amount of animals. Worth the high admission fare. However, avoid the extras as they are too pricey and simply save you from walking.
Love this zoo and really love to eat out there at Dillion's while watching sharks swim around$ Ahhhhmazing
Lots of stuff to do. They have a coupon online. Bring water and sunblock
It took us a long time to get to this zoo after moving to the valley. We lived in the southeast valley making it a long drive and the price was a lot higher than other zoos. Let me tell you, it's worth the drive and the extra cost.
Somebody must have said, "I'm going to make my own cool zoo with all cool animals and no boring stuff!"
Pros:
There's a peaceful ski lift ride and log flume ride. There's an interactive giraffe spot where he can LICK you! Lots of really cool indoor aquarium animals, reptile house and some animal interactions. Delicious restaurant on premises. Great gift shop. This zoo towers over the Phoenix zoo in almost every way, except the location being way out by the White Tanks in the West Valley.
Cons:
The ticket prices are $39 per adult, which in 'zoo reality,' is highway robbery. I love this zoo, so I am willing to shell it out. I just wish it was lower so I could justify coming more often. The gift shop is also extremely overpriced, albeit, they have the coolest stuff there.
Summary:
I recommend buying the year membership for $125 for adults and $60 for kids, if you want to come more often than once per year like I do.
Very nice clean zoo with lots of different types of animals.
Easy to get to and see the animals. Highly recommended.
We had a great time except for the teenagers who were poking sticks at the leopards! That leopard started growling and crying and I was shocked to see such behavior going unchecked at such a place! What kind of person pokes a caged animal?! They should post employees nearby to keep things like this from happening!!
Never seen animals this close up before. And they have kangaroos!
Everything $6 dollars: each rider, train, tram. And only cash for everything.
Great exhibits, enjoyable atmosphere. got a membership!!
Nicely kept zoo with alot to see. Every time I come here it seems as though they are adding more and more things to see and do. When I first went there was only the zoo. Now there is a full aquarium, rides, and several new zones throughout the facility. I knocked off a star because the admission is a bit steep compared to the PHX zoo. However, the constant additions do make sense to where the money is going. It's also a little dusty so don't wear your best shoes
Absolutely loved it! Im not sure why this place isn't named the Best Wildlife Center in the world. Prices were decent (i used a groupon with no hassle/ problems which is probably a first) and all staff treated people like VIP. This place has so much to offer- so much so that we didn't get through everything in 1 day before we were too tired to go any further. I went in with way lower expectations since their website doesn't divulge in too much. This was an absolutely epic get away & celebration for my daughters 13th birthday (who is obsessed with cheetahs)
We went on a weekday so it was pretty empty and super hot. They have lots of birds and though they try to make it a tropical environment it's kind of sad to see animals in cages. It's huge place. I wish they didn't have those machines with the food pellets. It costs 50 cents and you get maybe 6 pellets and crumbs. I just saw video of my nephew visiting another zoo and feeding the giraffes lettuce ! Why can't they have that here I wonder.
Nice Zoo. A lot of different bird species made the trip worth while. Feeding the giraffes from a two story platform was a highlight. The food is very expensive but that's to be expected. Many upgrades to structures and new animals are giving the Zoo a facelift.
Great place to take the kids for the day. You won't regret it!
It was great we got to feed birds. There was a petting zoo. The is a lot of walking. There was a lot of animals to look at.
It was empty... Great experience no rushing through and all animals were out
Entry fee is a bit pricey but I'd say it's still worth it; even with most of the rides closed due to Covid.
Had an awesome time here at this zoo! Like they are saying- this place is huge. There is so much animals to see and the shows are amazing! The staff that are interactive with the animals are very caring and knowledgeable about their particular animal. Now that warmer weather is here...it may be best to visit more earlier in the day. Overall I had a terrific experience here and would love to come back to see more animals that I missed.
This is easily my favorite zoo. It doesn't have all the amenities the big zoo has, but it has plenty of what you need. The biggest draw, and why I give it 5 stars, is how up close and personal you are with the animals. Look at how close I am to this beautiful tiger. Love this place. Also has some good rides my kids and grand kids love. Plus, the aquarium is awesome, and there is a fantastic Bbq restaurant attached to the aquarium. Love this place. I try to go there at least twice a year. The kids never get old of petting the animals, feeding the giraffes, or getting growled at by the black panther cause you're so close. Dont miss this place. Oh, and the animal shows are top notch too
Laid back feel. Less commercialized than Phoenix Zoo. Opportunities to get close to the animals, including feeding giraffes and stingrays. Big variety of animals! Safari tram ride was educational. 5 enjoyable hours allowed us to see everything.
The best zoo in and around Phoenix , kids love parrot feeding
All but two rides closed. Half the staff was rude then a few looked as if they hated being there and the others were nice. Other then that it was okay a lot birds.
Always a great place to come with the family! Your so close to the animals and is one of the biggest zoo's in the State! Ended up getting memberships for the family because we come so much!
Tons of fun with lots of shade so you can take a break. But make sure you bring cash.
Awesome expensive so bring a cooler and look for a Groupon otherwise it s amazing
My Husband and I went to Arizona for the first part of our honeymoon.
Of course you have to go to the zoo if you love animals.
It was a very nice place to be. The animals had beautiful habitats and seemed very happy and well cared for.
Nice gift shop (Bought some tiger prints)
Friendly staff and lots of shade to escape the
Such a wonderful place! No matter how many people are there, it doesn't seem crowded!
Love love this place. Everytime my family goes there is something new to go check out or babies that were born since the last visit. Exciting place to go. Will go again
Up close with the animals! The Safari Tram was amazing!!!
We had a great time. I was under the impression that everyone who entered the zoo had to wear masks? That was the only thing that made .u family uncomfortable.
I love how close you feel and can get to the animals
So much better than originally expected. Expect it to take all day due to all the animals to see, and it's not to crowded so you can truly enjoy it.
Have you guys seen the new prices $37 and rides $6-$12 for each ride
Really nice place. Loved it here for the most part. Seriously expensive. Last trip cost me a little over $300 for 3 adults and 4 kids with lunch and drinks. Don't take your family unless you have a coupon or $$$$$$$ to burn.
If you want to see birds go here. Way to expensive!!!
They were supposed to close at 6pm but by 4pm all the restaurants in the park were closed. The last tram ride was at 4:30. If yr open till 6 you should be open till 6.
Very interesting large zoo & aquarium. Can be hot mid-day. Have some rides too. Good place for the kids.
Recommendation is for ANYONE to go to Safeway and purchase Hickman Jumbo Eggs to get 2 for 1 admissions.
Savings of up to $42.50
