A great place to take my kids. I buy both my girls a Blueberry Slurpee there and begin the adventure of exploring the park. Its always a blast. Recommendation... buy the annual passes if you can so you can always have something to do when times are bad financially.

Wow! There is so much to do it's hard to see it all in one day. We had an amazing time!!! We love the stingray & giraffe feeding and the petting zoo. The Safari train ride is wonderful and the conductor really knows his stuff.

Great place to take your toddlers. The staff was very friendly and the shows were exciting to watch for myself and children. Lots to see and plan a whole day around. Bring cash for the rides and get change to buy feed for the animals. There is even a jungle gym play area by the petting zoo. The only downside is not being able to bring your own food. Water and food are way over priced and will cost you more then the entry fee to the zoo. If you eat lunch and dinner.

This is a massive zoo. It took me 6 hours to explore everything without breaking for lunch, and I tried to keep a fairly quick pace. I recommend wearing comfortable shoes (preferably closed toe because the trails are dirt), sunscreen and bring some water. Also bring lots of quarters because the food they provide to feed the animals is in vending type machines that only accept quarters.

The area with the ducks, geese and swans was nice and peaceful. I was surprised to see several beautiful peacocks walking around among the patrons. I loved feeding the giraffes. There is a 6 foot easement between you and the giraffes which makes it hard for kids to feed them since they can't reach across properly.

There are a lot of animals here. I noticed some were in multiple locations, mostly monkeys and macaws. The leopards, tigers and lions were inactive and hard to take photos. Most of them sit in dark, shaded areas or as far away from people as they can get.

I agree with the other reviewers that expressed some unhappiness with how small the cages were, especially for the birds (who have wings and were meant to fly.) Some of the alligators and crocodiles were in cages so small they could barely turn around. And the penguins area was also very small. Other cages, like the jackals, llamas and alpacas were very sparse. It was like looking into someone's backyard in a lower-income neighborhood... chain link fence, overgrown grass and a makeshift dog house for shade. That's it. A little more thought and creativity into building a lifelike habitat would have been appreciated.

All of the animals looked sad and depressed. None of them were lively except for the white tiger which was pacing back and forth near the edge of the cage and growling at a little girl who wanted to get too close. One of the white tigers is also cross-eyed, as a result of inbreeding. After doing some research I found all white tigers are inbreed for the sole purpose of exhibiting them for money. The ostriches were pecking at each other's feathers. The alpacas were biting on the fence (called bar-biting, a sign of distress). It was nice to get up close to animals that I would not have been able to otherwise, but seeing them held in captivity, and under obvious distress, when they should have been roaming the wild was hard to look at. These may have been rescued animals and unable to survive in the wild. If so, at least give them more space to roam and be free.

After visiting here I really questioned the righteousness of keeping wild animals in captivity to be extorted and photographed by visitors for the sole purpose of making a profit. Next time I feel like visiting animals I will be donating the price of admission to a non-profit animal sanctuary or rescue organization instead.

We had a lot of fun. Since the last time we were there a lot has been added and it made for a great time. We didn't get a chance to see all we wanted but we enjoyed seeing the animals and what was new. Would definitely recommend the place for anyone

Compared to San Diego Zoo...not even close. Enclosures for the animals are small and outdated. Animals seemed very bored, there seems to be no stimulus for them to keep them active. Outdated Zoo. For what you get, the price way too expensive at $34.00 pr. person. The small restaurants that sell food in the zoo are filthy and smell like old oil. The restrooms were filthy with one toilet working and others overflowing in the ones we used...Sorry guys...I won't be back

Prices were outrageously high for what you see. They only give military discount if you get them off Luke AFB. We went there and almost all the rides were closed. You pay so much at the gate then you have to pay even more for the rides. A lot of the animals weren't even out to see. It was dirty. Looked like most cafes weren't even opened until you opened the door. We ordered a chicken tender basket to share ($8) the kids basket was even $8. Baskets do not include drinks. Have to buy your own drink $4 for a large (doesn't look like a large). Cannot even get a refill. Have to pay another $4 if your want it refilled. There are more birds than anything! I was extremely disappointed. Wasted our money here.

Awesome, differently need a full 6 to 8 hours to see everything at a easy pace. Plenty of refreshments spread throughout the park, and has nice kid friendly rides that are not too expensive(6 bucks a person for the sky ride and train ride thru the park). Very zin

GREAT experience. I have been to the Phoenix Zoo ,and while it is good I was much more impressed with the Wild Life Zoo. They have more petting and feeding attractions and many unique animals. They also have a pretty big restaurant, kids rides and chair lift ride at additional cost.

Very fun place to take the family. Its intimate where you get much closer to the animals and the little rides are great for the kids. The aquarium is really cool too. Make sure to eat at Dillon's too and dine with the sharks, crocodile or the flamingos.

Walked the ENTIRE place, saw all the animals, and took plenty of pictures. Very overly priced, a lot more than I actually expected. Their website said $25/person, went there and it was $40/person. The $10 off I had didn't really help much. I would only suggest to slightly lower to $30/person.

So I went for the first time yesterday and boy was it not st all what I was expecting, sure it's bigger than the Phoenix zoo but it's so empty and it seems like we were at a zoo that was closing down.adventure land was empty not a person in sight the brown bear in the middle had no shade and no visible water and the only worker I saw was the one working st zoobertos I would understand if the zoo was this slow on a weekday but we were there on a Saturday from open to just right around 5. Also another thing I disliked was the amount of space for some of the reptiles. The breaded dragon looked like it had no more than a foot of space and it appeared to be a grown adult beardie. As a matter of fact most of the reptiles and little mammals in the exhibits were animals one could have as a pet. The only fun time I had was when we went to the petting zoo and saw some marine life. Definitely wouldn't go again

The place is kept neat and clean, though there were signs that visitors were throwing garbage anywhere they wanted.

The animals appeared healthy and as content as they could be in captivity.

The zoo keepers were busy tending to their duties, but were polite and friendly to interact with.

So much stuff, you can't get to it all anymore, but rides looked pretty cool...can't wait till my daughter is old enough. A little pricey, but I think it's because it's not as crowded. Playground & petting area were a hit. The mountain lion was fun, but about half of the bigger animals (bears, jaguars, etc) weren't out at the time we went. We'll catch em next time.

Please don t give your money to this place. Almost all of the animals showed some sign of neglect. The parrots, especially, all have disheveled, dull looking plumage. There were more than a few that had stress plucked out their feathers. There was one scarlet macaw that broke my heart and I couldn t bear to watch him - he couldn t hold his head up on his perch and was panting very rapidly - indicating he was severely ill. I couldn t find any employees around, so I flagged this for a restaurant employee who laughed and said this parrot did this all the time for attention.
For a faculty this large and with such a wide array of animals, they had about 2-3 vets (as their signs boasted). But so many of these animals look miserable. They are in terrible, unnatural enclosures (whether too small, made completely out of cement or just the wrong type of environment for them to thrive). There are two black bears that were panting so hard in the 110 degree desert heat they looked like they were about to keel over. A small shed housed a few different types of foxes - one of which being a singular ARCTIC fox. Not natural to have this animal out in this environment to begin with, not a big enough enclosure and no mates.
This place is all about making money by providing cheap closeness with the animals. It is extremely depressing, blatant animal neglect, and absolutely heartbreaking. Please look beyond the rides and carousels to how the animals are being treated. I have a wildlife ecology background and I don t write reviews lightly. Please don t give your money to a place that does this until they improve their practices.

Came for my birthday and I loved it. Baby friendly. Decent aquarium. Loved feeding the giraffes and spotting the sleeping jaguar. There is a nice bbq restaurant next to a ton of flamingos you can sit next to on the patio. Loved every minute of this place.

This is a pretty good zoo. But the price! $107 for two adults and two kids. And that was with the $5 off coupon. It is not worth this price. All rides are an extra $6! Ridiculous.
San Diego Zoo is $56 for and adult and there is also a $5 coupon. But that includes the busses inside, all day. And that is the best zoo in the world.
Brookfield Zoo in Chicago is $20 for adults, $15 for kids and seniors. Washington D.C. Is free!
Audubon Zoo New Orleans is $20.
Like I said, they need to get real with the pricing. At least make all the rides included in the admission.

Wrestled with even giving it a 2. First and foremost, it is way too exoensive to get in! Once inside, most things are extra. Cash only for snacks. I get the no straws no lids thing, but try giving a slushy to a 3 year old without either. We found most who worked there rude and not open to friendly communication. Feeding the giraffes was the highlight. Drained all our change but well worth it. We will not go back, there are other zoos to see and they have elephants.

Animals blatantly distressed. Parrots plucking themselves of feathers; a sign of poor mental health with permenant and lasting effect. Animals look completely drained and exhausted by our heat and lack of cool water. I don't care about the money, even if it is a bit spendy, so long as the animals are kept healthy and happy. This is not a place for people who care about animals.

This place has a decent area but there are portions with no shade, including the animals, they are sun burnt like the koi or panting or sleeping off the heat. Prices are higher than other zoo's in the area and discounts are few and far apart

The atmosphere was beautiful. The huge tank contributed a lot, and the mirrors certainly made the place feel larger than it is (a good thing). Sharks & sting ray in tank was awesome and beautiful. The food was delicious. I order baby back ribs, and crustless cheesecake for desert. Nothing to complain about here.

Nice sized zoo. A lot of walking but there are indoor exhibits to give you a break from the sun. There are rides that give you an aerial view of certain exhibits and a few rides just for fun. Drinks can purchased with cash at several spots around the zoo. We were there for about 2+ hours and didnt even get to see the entire zoo. Will definitely go back.

Really great well stocked and more importantly, cared for zoo. Unfortunately that comes at the hefty price of over $40 (including tax) to get in. Well worth a visit but not sure I'd be able to come more than once!

This was a fantastic zoo! Where is everybody? We barely made it all around it is so big. Animals are easily visible and very healthy looking. If you like birds they have the most variety have ever seen. Don't miss the black panther or the 2 white tigers which I'm told are all very rare.
They also have a sky lift to see most of the zoo from the air.
Our favorite part was feeding the Giraffes. There are feeding stations everywhere if you want to feed some animals yourself.

Would be 5 stars in it wasn t so expensive. We do love this zoo, it s definitely better than the Phoenix zoo. There s Lots of shade along the path, and so many interesting animals to see. The giraffe exhibit is a favorite. You can get pellets from a dispenser and feed them from a high up viewing platform! You can always find coupons for $5 off per ticket.

The bear exhibit is the saddest part about this zoo experience, it says on the info about the bears that they are found in grassy or forested areas, the exhibit is an uncovered desert area with a bad tree house with little to no coverage, and the bears look like they are dying.

I think this zoo was amazing, all except the falcon in the aquarium which leg was chained to a tree branch!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cant understand how a zoo who prides itself on animal education and for the most part, had very nice living environments for most of the animals, could do this to a bird whose entire existence is on spreading its wings and flying!!!!! A sign read that it was let off for feeding twice a day, HOW IS THAT ENOUGH?????????? I am so saddened by the thought of this birds terrible existence!!!! I hope someone from Wildlife World zoo reads this and takes my opinion into consideration and gives the bird the freedom it deserves! By the way, I am sure this is not the first you have heard of this, a lot of people around me were voicing their similar opinions!!!!!!!

The only reason I give it a 3 is because of the front office lady. who worked yesterday 5/16/19 in the morning. She did not say one word to us other than how many people. She was to occupied talking to someone in the office. We were so exited to come to this zoo. We said hello how are you. Nothing she gave us our tickets we said thank you have a good day. She didn t even look at us and turned her shoulder. How rude of her to ignore people and carry a not important conversation with someone in the office. Not professional at all. I wouldn t want to go back or refer anyone here due to the lack of her communication and rudeness. You should have a smile on your face ask how everyone is doing and tell them have a great time at our zoo. She needs to be replaced.

seeing a lot of complaints about this zoo, makes me sad. My boys and I have been members going on 10 years although some habitats are small they are very well taken care of. their is always room for improvement but i know employees who work there and they truly love the animals. The hawk that everyone was talking about was rescued and rehabilitated. He is beautiful and very well loved. Although it may be expensive you can always find coupons for at least five dollars off, and for a full day of sight seeing its a pretty good deal. Being from California i have seen many other zoo's and it had taken years for them to improve the San Francisco and the Oakland zoo both which are now environmentally and aesthetically pleasing. I hope people support this local wildlife center.

Great place for kids to enjoy!
Better than nothing here in the desert!
To those who complain too much, go to California if you want the best of the best and pay so much money for your satisfaction!

Great place to visit with kids and adults--lots to see! We've been to a lot of different zoos around the county and this is definitely in our top 3! So many animals and great access to get close viewing. Seeing the tigers and rhino close up was amazing!

Really nice park. We had a great time. Spent at least 4 hours to get through it all. Rides were staffed but empty. I wish they had a day pass that included the rides, I would have played for it. We went on the roller coaster but kind of pricy at $6 per person for one go around. Guessing that is why most were not running.

We were able to see all kinds of animals and really enjoyed that. The rides inside we're $6 a person and only took cash. The animal shows were ok but nothing to get really excited about. We really liked the aquarium and all the monkeys. Weather was great today.

The restaurant is extremely over-priced for what is served, a small snak of french-fried potatoes should not cost six dollars ) especially when there are less than 20 pieces of Potato on this tiny saucer ( like a 2000% mark-up ) I definitely wont return

My son and I came here on a field trip. I like this place better than the Phoenix Zoo except the Phoenix Zoo had more areas with shade. Make sure you wear light clothes, bring a hat, and wear sunblock. Otherwise you won't be disappointed.

I love this zoo! Have been there many times and finally bought an annual pass for me and my grandson. The only complaint I have for today's visit, is that they need to have people around the zoo selling water! It was only 94 this morning, but my grandson and I got overheated and two of the little food places weren't even opened! Both pop machines we passed didnt have water. We had to walk all the way back to front of zoo to finally get a drink!
