Best place to bring your kids this was the highlight of our trip.
Loved it!!! I love conservation!!! Animals r soooo important to us humans!!! Worth the price!!!
Pretty cool zoo and aquarium. It's huge and there are lots of animals. Go on a cool day, wear good shoes and bring lots water because it's dry and dusty.
We tried to go on Sunday. The lady was honest with us and told us the trails were muddy and since we had a wheelchair it was up to us but it would be hard to get through.i appreciated the honesty and will made the hour drive to go on a day it's not raining
So much fun! Amazing animals and great hands on discovery. We will have to come back we couldn t see it all in one day. Try to find a coupon or Groupon to get in - it s expensive for a zoo. In addition - if you pay $40 to get in you shouldn t have to pay $6 each to ride a train or a tram or a ride.
Lots of animals. Many of the same species in different locations. Rides are NOT included with admission and are $6 per person per ride... that seems expensive and we didn't go on any rides as a result.
This place is amazing. It has a little of everything.....theme park...bbq...aquarium...lift...many many zoo exhibits. I have a 3 in half month old and we go quite often. They have an amazing deal for $150 for adult yearly membership. It comes with 15% off zoo merchandise. Always a great time here. Cant wait to see all the photos as she grows
Awesome zoo, really cool aquarium, fun rides, well organized, great variety of animals.
Ridiculously expensive for what you get. Would not recommend to anyone on a budget.
Feels like you're in jurassic park. Much closer look at animals and up close encounters. Many animals I've never seen in real life.
Beautiful place and everyone there was very helpful
It's a very nice zoo and aquarium. The animals are presented very prominently the employees are plesent, friendly and helpful.
My favorite zoo. I love the stingrays and feeding them
I have grown up 5 minutes away from the zoo and every time I come back to visit family I come to this zoo. It's smaller than other zoos, though it is growing. The zoo has a very personal feel to it. You can get closer to the animals here than most other zoos. They don't have as many species as other zoos, and have a lot of birds.
The exhibits are great. I would recommend seeing the animals first when cooler. then doing the aquarium second when it's hotter. The unpaved trails are a bit challenging for wheel chairs but still a good time.
It was nice being there with the grandkids and our kid to spend the day with them
WHAT AN AWESOME PLACE! 1st time back in over 14 yrs. So much bigger! Saw the white tigers, the white alligator and an albino snake. Didn't get to see alot of the place and it was too hot for some of the animals. But what we saw was fantastic! Great family place! Definitely worth seeing!
This place totally exceeded my expectations. There were peacocks just walking around among the people!! The variety of wildlife there was astounding. We stayed all day and probably could have spent more time there! Very much worth the money. Lost one star because the rides weren't up and they're WAY too expensive.
I really liked the safari nature of this place. It's a mixture between a full zoo and a cool aquarium. I felt it had a lot to offer but the other zoo has a more beautiful esthetic. Overall I will recommend that you visit at least once and the rides are awesome ;-)
There's so many animals to see and things to do. Such a great experience for either children or adults!
Fun, interesting, good contrast to the Phoenix Zoo.
Had an absolute blast. The place is huge and it's designed wonderfully to ease the difficulty of many issues such as plenty of shade, fluids, and the employees are so helpful with everything we needed
Favorite zoo! A bit pricey but you get a zoo and aquarium in one place
Good pace good walk good luck in the small animal and reptile exhibits. Hold it nose. But definitely bring some quarters to feed giraffes, the pellets cost 50cents and dispensed from a turn key container.
Great way to spend time with the family. Pack your own snacks & lunch. Prices to eat at food courts within the park are pricey, yet you do get very large servings & the food is pretty good. If you plan on eating in the park beat the long lines by eating an hour earlier or an hour to two later.
On the pricey side, but still a great family family day at the zoo. There are some unique encounters and exhibits you won't find at the Phoenix Zoo. Some include a sea lion show, parrot feeding and a neat aquarium area.
Gone downhill a bit. Aquarium is best part but many of the original fish have died and never replaced
Love the but not good map instructions around the place. Love the Sea lion show
Horrible place for people great for animals hardly any water stations to buy water. They don t give you lids or straws on fountain drinks. Everything is half a$$ed. Absolutely horrendous food don t buy and food definitely bring your own and bring your own water bottles and don t rent strollers. Hardly any stroller there just a plastic seat with a long metal handle
Fun place, had a pretty good time. A little uncomfortable with them having swans out with their babies by the play area and petting zoo. Other than that we all had a great time.
This was the best zoo I ever visited. Such a wide variety of animals. Plenty of activities for the kiddies. Great place for a family outing.
Tons of birds. You can feed giraffes. Not as polished as the Phoenix zoo but we pretty much had the place to ourselves.
More birds then animals charge for all rides plus 39.00to get in
I loved it. Not fancy. Just seemed more "natural" in some ways. Spread out, dirt walkways. Pricey, very quiet (went during the week. It was so relaxing) but I liked it much more than the other zoos I've been to. Much bigger than Prescott, way smaller than Phoenix, but with a surprising variety. Senior on a fixed income- wish I could afford to go more. Highly recommend!
I wasn't sure what to expect for our class field trip here and I was impressed! I like the ambience - less pavement and more dirt trails and palm trees. They have cool big animals like the tigers (and a white one!), lions, rhinos, cheetas, giraffes, etc. We also got to see the adorable new baby jackals (the baby animal exhibit was a fun surprise!). They also have a fun play area, a "ski lift", train, and the petting zoo was a big hit.
They have construction going on (watch out for the equipment) and they'll be getting 10 new species in 2020 in their African Safari exhibit.
Definitely looking forward to going back with the whole family.
I love the new cnange more animals more rides my experience was great ever the best zoo
We had a lot of fun! My three year old loved it! Only downside is cost. 100 bucks for two adults and a child. Total spent was almost $300.00 for admission, a few rides, and drinks/snacks. No lids or straws so that's an inconvenience. But overall was a great experience!
It s definitely a beautiful zoo, lots of animals to see! But there are so that live in too small of areas.
Huge park, lots of animals and fish to see and plenty of space to safely visit and social distance. Highly recommend!
Activities, fun for everyone. Make sure you go when all rides are open.
A little pricy like any zoo, but worth every penny. Great aquarium and personal animal experiences.
Great ZOO in Phoenix!! Lots of hands on and walk throughs.
Very very clean, great staff, pleasantly surprised at how large and the variety of animals.
You can get up close and personal with the animals. There are rides and much to do.
Over six thousand animals / creatures and hundreds of species. Wildlife park and aquarium...and before COVID also water flume ride. Train and air tram are still running and worth the extra cost. Outside beverages allowed, so bring /at least/ two bottles of water per person...one of each pair frozen so stays cold if going during the hot season. There's some shade, but lots of areas without. Bring sunscreen. Sunglasses recommended. Hats with brims helpful. The indoor exhibits are cooler, but then mask mandates make them warmer and lower in oxygen. Plus all indoor seating appears to have been removed. That is likely COVID compliant, but makes for a miserable experience and effective barriers for those with handicaps or physical challenges. If you are on a budget, eat before and after. Like all amusement parks and zoos and similar attractions, food vending is double or more than what you'll pay outside the place.
Beautiful animals, had a great time, the zoo is huge, the aquarium is nice and the shows are amazing! Excellent
We had a great time! The zip line is off our bucket list - Oofda from MN!
Love this place have a lot more wildlife than expected
This place is fantastic! It is well kept up. The animals seem happy. The staff is very friendly! We loved our experience, hope to get back soon!!!! Highly recommended family fun place!!!!
Went here with my grandkids. I love the relaxed atmosphere.
Had a great time. The babies love this place. Plenty shade. Plenty restrooms. The Price was to high for us but it's nice that the Fun admission price covers the zoo and all the aquariums. There's a different charge per ride through out the park. Got to see the jaguars habitat above me. Amazing! No charge to feed the giraffes. I don't think they have an Elephant but they have a rhinoceros. The Lion and lioness were active and playful. I want to get the membership to bring my kids more often.
Way too expensive for what they have. The bathrooms are mostly dirty. It is supposed to be no smoking and we have seen several workers smoking in their trucks. One was smoking at the Kangaroo exhibit. For the money they charge it should be kept up much better.
It is expensive so I suggest getting a groupon however it is huge. They are expanding and improving their exhibits. They work to conserve and protect the animals, showing their beauty and pushing their plight.
Great array of animal, reptiles etc. huge park, well kept, prices are not bad for what s available to see and do.
Pretty pricey but we love the variety of wildlife and activities. We do wish they would water their walking areas down so the employees aren't covering us in dust as they cruise by on the golf carts, so beware if you suffer from allergies. We were excited to see heinas and they were nowhere in sight :(
I don't like zoos in general, they usually make me feel sad. But this great zoo is an excellent exception! It's so spacious that you can see that the animals actually do feel good there and the amazing staff totally dedicated to what they do, taking such a great care of all the inhabitants. Our favorite activities are the sky ride, giraffe and Lori feedings. Also we enjoy to talk to big parrots around the zoo, they are everywhere and they are so funny when they say you something back.
Great zoo. Very kid friendly. Fun rides. I held back a star due to extreme expense! Very costly.
The zoo itself is absolutely amazing. Love the animals! Such an amazing variety. However staff was extremely rude. The lady that checked in our tickets was annoyed she had to help me with Groupon as I d never used it before. And by the Safari park my kids went into the restaurant by the train ride to ask how we purchase train tickets. The young man at the counter was beyond and no help at all. No smiles. Nothing but attitude and seemingly like we bothered them by being there. I ll be back still as I love the animals. Hopefully with a happier staff.
So many exhibits, and you get so close to the animals!
My favorite zoo in Arizona!! It actually feels like a zoo. Dirt walk ways most of the zoo && they have an amazing aquarium with sea lions.! Different rides throughout the park and all the animals look happy. I can go on & on about how amazing this zoo is!
It tries its best to accommodate for cleanliness and space for the animals
