So far, unimpressive. Just tried to check in. Gave the clerk my name and upon checking his computer he replied, "Early check in is not available."..... Okay. I didn't realize the time was only 1:50pm so I asked what time checking was. He replied "Guaranteed check in is 3pm". ....Okay "So I should just come back to the desk at 3pm?" No offer to hold bags or use of facilities in the meantime. Not that that's always expected but this is the only 4 star hotel in the area. Front desk clerk was curt at best. Here's hoping actual check in is smoother.

Restaurant offered tasty food and included a good selection of drinks. The bar is also nice, but you'll have to be a guest there to really enjoy it.

Hotel felt just like an average Sheraton/Hilton.

We rented the southwestern suite as soon as we got into the hot tub and press the button the hot tub lost power and started leaking water through the ceiling to the first floor through the lights the management failed to react quick enough the maintenance had no clue what to do they had no sympathy for our stay at all. all we did was get a full refund and never received our complimentary stay which they promised and it was our anniversary that we were celebrating after months of being locked down in our home due to covid we couldn't celebrate until almost 2 weeks ago.

This hotel should be 10 star. From Monique (front desk) at check in to Andy (bartender) for after work hours, and everyone in between. I will always stay here when in the area. The view is unbeatable also. !! I also love the fact there is a Bible in every room; a big plus to me.

I was excited to visit the hotel for my stay for the weekend I heard so many great things about the facility and I was glad for the first time that I was going to experience it for myself the driver arrived at the airport when I arrived on Friday July 7th he was a very pleasant young man when I checked into my room it was not in good condition I expressed my concerns to the staff they move me to another room on the executive floor the room was much better it smelt cleaner and I assumed it was a good choice when I opened the curtains there were bugs crawling near the window I ignored it because I figured it was because the window was open and the bugs came in from the outside through the screen however later that evening there was a bigger bug on my floor in my shirt that accidentally fell off my bed I did not complain of that because at that point I'm just tired I want to rest I made several phone calls to the guest services to inquire about transportation to the local mall no answer I then made several phone calls Saturday evening to the local restaurant to place an order for food no answer I repeatedly contacted guest services again to inquire about local transportation services to a restaurant so that I may purchase something to eat still no answer I even call from my local cellular device no answer this is the first time that I visited the hotel and this will truly be the last the staff is very friendly a bunch of college students it appears but they are most friendly I think I was very patient and kind in spite of I've could have been very hostile like most people would have been and demanded and requested a refund but I did not even after I expressed to the front desk that I have been calling and got no answer the only response I received was I am sorry and did I mention several hours later I contacted the front desk 7 times afterwards and still no answer wow I do hope they learn from the experience that customer service is very important at all time the rooms are definitely over priced and they need an upgrade in appearance in my opinion to be considered an upscale hotel and resort

Rooms are remodeled, however it lacked a bathtub. The breakfast was delicious although not included in the price of the room. Shuttle service is available and very convenient. Fitness center, restaurant, and bar available. Predominantly business guests. I did enjoy my stay and would recommend.

Fiance and I went to book the Ontario suite for our wedding day and night thinking we would just put a deposit down and leave. The receptionist offered to have a bellhop give us a tour of the room (I believe his name was Tom). Tom was so lovely and helpful. We really appreciated being able to see the room before hand, and how flexible the hotel was with agreeing to let us take wedding photos on the premises (even though this is not our wedding venue). We are so glad we chose the Woodcliff so far! A++ experience!!

Rooms were nice, they have a good bar down stairs with solid drinks and food which is always nice to find. They also have a spa I didn't try out but others did and seemed to enjoy the experience. Grounds are pretty and there is a trail in the back that I didn't get the chance to try but liked the concept of. Overall it was a nice hotel and I enjoyed it, would stay again.

I was very disappointed with the Sunday brunch on ...

I was very disappointed with the Sunday brunch on Christmas Eve 2017. Our reservations were for 10:30 AM. When we arrived on time, there were no guests and the staff was setting up the brunch. The staff ignored us and when we were finally greeted, we had to wait an additional 15 minutes because our table was not set up and every table in the restaurant was empty. We were seated in the Crystal room which is a separate room off the lobby. This room is very far away from the restaurant seating area and the buffet. We had to pass through a large party to get back through to the restaurant. We were also denied the pleasure of hearing the live pianist playing music in the dining room. Several aspects of the brunch were disappointing compared to previous dining experiences. Specifically, the prime rib had no flavor, the flatbread was unappealing, there were not quality rolls available to list a few examples. The wait staff was preoccupied and not up to Woodcliff standards. We were there to bring an out of town guest to brunch, but overall the experience was a huge disappointment. I will not be going back.

Attended a wedding and reception. Ceremony space was a little small. Cocktail hour was nice, good variety of appetizers, presented well. Dinner was buffet style, food was average. Staff was very attentive and professional.

Absolute luxury to stay at the Woodcliff. The hotel staff is very well mannered and helpful. The location is great with plenty around, including Eastview Mall and Casa Larga Vineyards to name a few. The spa is truly relaxing and let's you have such a peaceful day. The restaurant downstairs, Horizons, we attended the breakfast buffet and also got room service one night. The staff was excellent and so courteous and attentive. The buffet food was some good breakfast food. The room service was great, and we even received a call 5-10 minutes after delivery just to make sure everything was correct. It truly is the little things that add a little to this hotel. All the food was delicious, but the lamb and pork meatballs were absolutely amazing. Highly recommend. The pool and hot tub are nothing special but nice, and the locker rooms have saunas which is always a plus. If you are looking for a higher end place to stay in the Rochester area, there is no better place to stay than the Woodcliff.

This hotel is supposed to be a five star resort.

This hotel is supposed to be a five star resort.

The hotel was host to a number of weddings for the weekend. The hotel seemed entirely unprepared for the number of guests they hosted.

Housekeeping was complaining about people sleeping too late on a Saturday morning so that they couldn't clean rooms. All the guests were celebrating the night before. It is unprofessional of them to be discussing this within earshot of guests.

At breakfast the service was terrible. We chose the buffet. Omelets were available as part of the buffet of you ordered through your server. I ordered an omelet and had to remind the server to bring the omelet when she brought the check. I didn't have a chance to ask for it before then because she never attended to our table. She never refilled our water, refilled our coffee once, and actually took the pitcher of cream (open cream, not little packets of creamer) off a dirty table to give to us when our cream ran out. Other guests also reported similar poor service. People who ate the scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage got sick.

The pool had no towels for guests, another example of the hotel being unprepared for actually being at capacity.

We heard that the restaurant was not serving food to the pool area at lunch time as it normally would do for some reason.

The beds are quite soft. They definitely do not feel like memory foam mattresses. They are not comfortable if you have back problems.

The in room refrigerator is nice. The charging station on the bedside table is nice as well. The rooms are small. You have an office chair to sit at a tabletop adjacent to the dresser as the only seating other than the bed. I expected to have at least an easy chair in the room if not a table and two lounge chairs.

I would not recommend this hotel as it is too expensive for the product you receive.

We visited on Saturday November 9th and most everything was amazing. Our room was clean and had a complimentary bottle of champagne in our mini fridge. After checking in we went to have dinner and the hostess was extremely rude. It was 6:15 and we asked for a table for 2 and she said we would have to wait until 8pm. There were A TON of open tables so we were confused. She said I know it s empty now but at 7:30 this place will fill up, she then answered the phone and went to the couple behind us. Not very inviting. So we decided to go to the bar and ask about the tables in the bar area, the male bartender (I didn t get his name) was very nice and welcoming! He explained that we could order from the restaurant menu or bar menu and could sit at the bar or at any table. We chose to sit at a table and our waitress Krystal was AMAZING! Super nice and friendly. She was very busy but ALWAYS had a smile on her face. I guess there was a hiccup in the kitchen with our meal so she gave us 2 glasses of wine for the delay, we weren t in any rush so maybe that s why we didn t feel it took to long. When our food came it was fantastic! Best steak we have ever had! All in all our experience was great and we will definitely visit again.

This review is specifically for the Spa- not the hotel. I am submitting my review here because I feel that the page that is just for the Spa is harder to find publicly and I want others to know the experience that I had when I went to the spa at this hotel. While the hotel may have great reviews, the staff at the spa are incredibly rude. As a wedding gift my sisters and mother planned a spa day for me at this spa and it was supposed to be a STRESS free and relaxing day. This day was noting but stress as the staff made me, the bride to be, cry SEVERAL times during my three services. The staff consistently treated me like a second class citizen. I would not recommend this spa to anyone. The staff were also extremely disrespectful to my family. If I could give a 0 I would.

Classy yet down to earth. Food accommodation excellent. Pool indoor and outdoor combined. Superb. Golf course very nice. Hit them straight. Dinners excellent but pricy. Breakfast buffet top notch and your best bang for your buck. Services also excellent and people friendly. Will be going back.

We were going out tonight for a special night out....

We were going out tonight for a special night out. The restaurant was cozy feeling, though spacious, and played Christmas songs for the season. For dinner we ordered the cheese board which came with goat cheese rolled in herbs, cheddar cheese, a tasty fig jam, grapes, and a few slices of baguette. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary, but hearty and very tasty. We also ordered the calamari which was fried with Sriracha aioli, and some peppers. The dish was very good. The two dinners ordered were a chicken cutlet, which was breaded in a lemon caper sauce, and we requested green beans rather than steak fries, which seems odd when ordering a nice dish. This was the same when I ordered the $48 strip steak. I ordered it medium rare, however the steak was gristle on one side, and had a tough section in the middle. Around the streak, it was good, though. Like the cutlet, the steak only came with fries, and it just didn't seem worth the money. I requested their potato special that night instead which was scalloped potatoes and they were delicious. The only thing that went wrong was my server forgot my green beans. We ordered a limoncello cake for dessert and it was very delicious.

I gave this restaurant 3 stars because it wasn't the same type of restaurant Horizons used to be; the food, the ambiance, and the service. We were also quite surprised to see the hotel having two holiday parties, where one party with more than 15 people open to the lobby standing without masks.

Long story short horrible. I paid for a king room, and the people across the hall were smoking weed and my fiancee is pregnant. I complained twice.. the third time I asked for a room change. The woman said she would upgrade us. We get up to the new room and there are 2 queen beds.. that's a downgrade when there are 2 people. Who wants to share a queen bed or sleep in separate beds on valentine's day.. not me. I then went down and asked if I could get a refund or some money back to compensate for the inconvienece. The lady said no the best she could do was give us a free breakfast. I said that's not good enough and left. So I got charged for a king size room that I was only in for 2 or 3 hours. I guess the woodcliff condones weed smoke and cant cut the respectful couple a break for their inconvienece. I wish I could give it no stars.

Had a great time in spite of having to move our room due to some noisy and inconsiderate neighbors. Was a little disappointed in the second room as it was not as nice as our original room because the TV was much smaller and it had no microwave, plus some of the lights on the bedside table lamps did not completely function.
If I had been a little more forward, I would have asked for breakfast and drink vouchers for the next morning for being inconvenienced and losing out on a slightly better room, however they did reimburse me some money back so that sort of made up for it. I also would suggest they have a list of local restaurants that will deliver to the hotel, GrubHub or any of those delivery sources are fine but for somebody who is not used to dealing with those types of services it makes it difficult; especially for somebody who's older and not used to using the internet in that capacity.

Hotel and staff are very nice and accommodating. Not a bad break away from the usual routine especially Midwinter in Rochester New York.

We stayed in the Bristol Suite. It was OK. The room was kind of cool, had nice views, but it needs some maintenance. It would have been OK if it wasn't so much for the room. For what we paid it needs some care. Grout was missing and tiles were loose on the floor in the dining area, the whole room needs to be painted, the receptacle and switch covers were painted over. We didn't go in the spa, but walked through and that area at least looked nice. If they spent some money and updated things, it would have been worth it. Another thing was that no breakfast was included in our expensive fee. We got 2 omletes and coffee which was $30. It was good, but breakfast shouldn't be that much. To summarize... It was overpriced.
