Disaster at boarding and rip-off with hand luggage. Who flies to Germany can be prepared for the fact that even with 3cm exceeded dimensions of the hand luggage 25 must be paid on it. After discussion with the staff, it was probably too much for the employee, so he refused first the payment and then also the access to the plane.
Absolutely unfriendly staff at the boarding! The main thing people still deduct a few euros with all their strength.

Was denied boarding because I had a regular sized carry-on bag - apparently this airline has reinvented the carry-on-size restrictions so don't expect to be allowed to bring your regular carry-on. Tried to pay extra by card, they didn't accept my card and I was denied boarding.
The boarding personal didn't let me speak to his manager and neither gave me a "denied boarding certificate" nor did he give me his name.
If you want a pleasant holiday I'd recommend going with any other airline and avoid Wizz Air by all means.

Pure evil - flight cancelled after 4hrs of waiting at the airport. Next flight out 24hrs later, also delayed for at least 3hrs again and no hope of making it home anytime soon. Customer service non existent, they even had the audacity of handing out water bottles prior to security! This airline needs to be shut down!!! They are not adhering to European standards and are an embarrassment for the entire continent - avoid at all costs if your time and happiness and enjoyment of a holiday is worth anything to you!

Worst airline I have flown on. Seats don t recline, are dirty, and the flight attendants could not serve a whole plane over a 4 hour flight. Rude flight attendants and gate staff upon check-in. We were charged twice while checking in for a convenience fee after their website was down for maintenance and it would not let us check-in prior to arriving at the airport. Workers seemed very unhappy with their jobs and the process of boarding these planes is ridiculous. If you can avoid flying with Wizz Air, do it at all costs! Never again! Awful company.

"WITZ Air" is sometimes pretty cheap, but you should be aware that low-cost means usually also-low-service. Who wants line standards has to use other airlines. Not acceptable is their ignorance of laws, f.e. concerning showing correct gate closures or not showing up fees and taxes in the bookings(which violates EU 1008/2008,but they seem to have "coverage" by hungarian authorities). They usually never answer to compensation requests,so be aware-you have to go in 99% to the national passenger-arbitration-authorities to avoid high legal expenses(excepting hungarian one-they will trash out your claim at once). If you go to court against them - they are paying quickly however.So it seems to be a system that they are calculating that less than 1% of passengers are enforcing their rights.

My friends, family and I have flown with Wizz Air many many times and everything was OK.
I may be wrong, but I think the computer is programmed to seat couples separately if you don't pay for seat selection & I think this is wrong wrong wrong. I found a way to sit with my wife anyway, but I think the computer program should sit people together when possible, but maybe I'm wrong and maybe there's a good reason behind this.

As such, I've been happy with Wizzair so far, even though they kept thinking of tricks to get more money from their customers. After I checked in on a flight, I was automatically assigned two completely separate seats. I almost expected it and was prepared to just book a seat next to the others. However, I was allocated places where, of course, the neighboring place was already taken. So I am not only forced to book "one" preferred seat, but of course "two". Makes a total of 20 more, even though there were still more than "hundred" places available, so that you could have got related places for free. But this way you get ripped off unnecessarily. That was probably the last time I booked with Wizzair. So far, Wizzair has never angered me as much as it does to this day. But maybe they will respond to my complaint and will have good customer service and still allocate me two connected seats free of charge.

Pretty bad airline.
They don't accept PDF on the mobile phone. They offer you to download the boarding pass in PDF, but they don't accept it. They charge you for printing the boarding pass.

Apart of this, they only accept tiny cabin bag, or pay extra. And their Gates in Budapest are outside the terminal in a bad hangar. Too cold.

Hard to do worse airline: regularly late, change flight schedules unlikely, uncomfortable aircraft, everything is paid (even sitting with people traveling with you).
The cream of the crop: divert a plane from Beauvais to Lille, put us in a bus to Beauvais at 1am and leave us on the roundabout at the airport at 3:30 without explanation, nothing.

Worst airplane company ever, they intentionaly give you different seats for a couple in order to make you buy seats on plane, then the hand luggage they take it and put it in hold even if there is space on the plane just to make you buy priority. I know this is a low cost company, but they make you fill worthless and discriminated because i don't have enough money to buy my priority, i don't feel respected as a customer even if i payed a lot of money on my tickets because honestly they are not so low cost

Their customer service was quite good but something went wrong. I have to say that it improved this year but it's still not as good as it used to. Staff incredibly rude, condescending and so often callous to a fellow human being. Things to remember if you don't want to get robbed by Wizz Air: 1. Read all the small letters a few times. 2. Don't buy priority it's not a priority to the plane but to the shuttle bus unless you want to transport more stuff and need an extra bag. 3. Compare the prices with proper airlines like Lufthansa they are not that more expensive and sometimes even cheaper (check the prices WITH luggage). 4. Be prepared to arrive late if you even manage to take off. 5. Don't buy a connecting flight as Wizz Air tend to arrive late. 6. Use softer bags as they throw them out of the cargo area. Finally, they are not that much worse than Ryanair probably about the same.

Once you take into account that this is a low cost...

Once you take into account that this is a low cost airline (some people seem to forget this and like to pay a cheap price but expect full service) it is a very good one. The planes I flew in were nice and new, the leg room was as good as some full service airlines I've been on.
Their app works flawlessly which again is more than can be said for some airlines. Having the boarding pass on your phone is so convenient.
The fact that you have to pay extra for everything is how low cost airlines work, complaining about it just demonstrates a lack of understanding.

This company have an error on their online booking system. I paid for a ticket online & their system sold me a completely different trip at a much higher price. I asked for a refund & they refused and are not interested in finding out about their computer error. Effectively they stole my money and now they waste my time. Do not use. Wizz Air's egregious incompetence and that of the Budapest airport caused me and at least four other passengers to miss flight W6 2351 to Madrid yesterday even after being stuck on the plane inhumanely for four hours while a passenger had to disembark for "family" reasons, while an extensive security search was conducted and after all travelers had to disembark without being given proper instructions for re-boarding after the security check frightened two passengers from flying. I and the other passengers were struggling to find someone to take us to the gate at 10 PM, more than a full hour before the flight left the gate, but the few people we found did not have the authority to help us! We were finally told we could not re-board are told we need to pay full-price again to fly today. What recourse do we have? What administration protects the rights of travelers in Europe?

Wizz Air loves negative reviews, they purposely do a horribly job bc it gives them a thrill!! Had a canceled flight and they never sent me any email or phone call and even after signing in to there website they never mentioned anything of my canceled flight. So they are forced by the Gov. to pay for ur hotel and dinner and they go out of there way to make sure u know u are despised by them, for them paying for ur hotel!! So they choose what everyone eats and they gave us some very canteen pasta and sause and they were nice enough to include some type of thin chicken with soy sauce and a side of cooked cabbage. Maybe just give us $20 euros and well buy what we want!!!

The worst company I have ever traveled with by far! Terrible treatment by the company and very little efficiency. We had a delay of more than six hours, arriving in Madrid at 2:30 in the morning and ... find your life! We had to spend the night without sleep because we had lost all our links to our city and also bought some new tickets and after claiming they do not take care of any extra expenses that we had because of them. A SHAME!!! I will never fly with them again.

The flight was booked via OPODO. As was pointed out on the additional price for luggage and on the fact that at check-in would cost 50% more. So I booked the luggage right away. There was also the option to book the boarding passes right now. It was pointed out that you should book online, if you wanted to sit together. I have found no indication of additional charges, if you would do that at the check-in counter.
We paid 682.99 for the 3 tickets, 20 kg of luggage and insurance.
At the airport we were informed at the check-in counter that we had to pay 38.00 per person for the check-in. That's almost 17% of the total cost. I have never experienced something like that. We had to go to the other building, have pointed out that no clearly visible information when booking about these costs were recognizable. The lady, who was nice, said that bookings that are not made directly at Wizzair sometimes do not cite these references. As a customer, of course, I ask myself why I have to pay then. We paid for it. The lady has entered this into the computer and of course that should be stored in the system.
At the check-in counter there was no indication of the flight to Larnaca. We could only find that out by questioning. There were also no calls that passengers should go to Larnaka for checkin. Everything was messy! The lady at the check-in desk then asked for the check-in box again. My wife was a bit surprised by this request. She then got the receipt for the paid amount. But that was obviously after the check-out lady's timeout. She then refused to continue working. She did not want to give up our passports anymore. There has been a lot of excitement. A supervisor was called and the checkin was then done by another lady.
This has never happened to me anywhere in the world.
Wizzair is a budget airline. Cheap but is primarily the service and the methods behind money to make.
On top of that is that the seats are so tight that you bump your knees on the front seat. The seat back is not adjustable. I've never experienced anything like that. Service on board is only for a fee and quite expensive.
This airline should be avoided. The price offers for the flights are misleading and sneaky. Alone the idea that luggage at the airport booked to 50% more cost is already a very dubious request. The check-in costs are nothing but rip-off. On top of that a lady who has no idea what service means. An experience that you can easily do without. Better book a reputable airline and get a service for a little more money.
Wizzair is an absolute NOGO in the future !!

Absolutely terrible. They get 1 star for having a pleasant cabin crew. Seats don't recline, slow boarding process, and ALL their flights the day I flew were delayed by several hours. We waited for someone human to appear at the gate, only to discover, due to being late, they switched to one on the other end of the airport. We were herded like cattle into an airless hallway and asked to wait for another 20 minutes before being herded to the loading ramp and asked to wait for another 20 minutes. It took another hour to get our bags at the other end. While the staff apologized, based on my experience, and other comments, this is pretty much how they fly. Late, customers are cattle, and they nickel and dime you constantly. Booo.

We didn't book because it was about the price, but because this airline operates in an airport in our direct vicinity. The airline has quite a number of organized rip-offs. For example, the website with automatic online check-in or a fee of 35 / person at the counter. The prices are not shown in a consumer-friendly way and one is then surprised or blackmailed directly at the check-in counter. There is no reminder, no e-mail that and where to do it and paying 35 for a printout (140 for 4) is a bottomless rip-off and blackmail.

Furthermore, one reads in Focus and in Stern Online about incidents in the air, poorly maintained planes, some pilots who have no flight experience and catastrophic service as well as various rip-offs. I am happy when I get through my trip safe and sound and never have to use this airline again. In the future I would better go to Munich and fly safely.

I did not read the conditions and later learned that I had to pay for my carry-on bag. Okay, no problem, my fault for not reading the conditions. When I wanted to go pay my suitcase for the price of 20 euros, the wizzair website was falling every time I tried to enter, whether it was with my user or if it was with the ticket code. The next day they sent me an email notifying me that if I did not pay for this suitcase, they would cancel my right to fly ... In this situation I was forced to call the contact phone number (1.50E / min) so that in a call of 15 minutes I solved the problem and justify it themselves as a problem of YOUR website. They also charged me fees for card payments and were finally 44 euros. The final price was 60 euros for the flight + 44 + 22 euros for the call. Price you could have paid for an airline with better conditions than this company garbage. This happened in March 2017. Please do not hire this service.

I have already used the airline four times this year. Always check in with app or online page. Until then no problems. I flew from Berlin to Budapest on 20.5.19. Wanted to check in via App again and suddenly had many problems. I was constantly posting seats, additional luggage (although I only had a small backpack for 4 days) imposed. It was not possible to complete the process without these additional services, the button Check In was not there. At the check-in counter the flight attendant told me I have to pay for printing the boarding pass. I explained that the app did not work and that it was not possible to check in via the app and on the online page. She said that I'm not the only one with this problem and I could have the money paid back in Budapest at the Wizz Air counter. Wizz Air would be very accommodating, the mistake is in the system. Arrived in Budapest but I found no Wizz Air switch. An employee of the information led me to a counter, the lady there said that I should clarify the phone with Wizz Air. She gave me a phone number and I went frantic on my getaway. On the return flight the same problem. I was able to check in after several attempts and deselecting the additional services, unfortunately my boarding pass would not be displayed in the app or via email. The same problem at the counter again, I have to pay for printing the boarding pass. The difference between Berlin and Budapest is just the amount of the price. In Budapest, the paper and the Gruckertinte is probably so expensive that I had to pay there 50 .
For me it was clear that I would not use this Airline any more !!!!!

The wuzz boarding in Budapest for Rome was the most traumatic of my life.

I have no words to describe disgust. Such a service for a European airport is inconceivable.

We were treated like cows at the slaughterhouse. Ryanair has stopped doing so for at least four years.

An investigation by the authorities would be needed. Avoid wizz on budapest like the plague.

For the rest I used wizz at least fifteen more times in other places and I always had a great time and they are cloente wizz club.

Wizz Air offers a bare bones service, which to the frequent flyer between England and a Eastern European country is ideal.

If you're able to book far in advance enough there are some excellent deals to be had. It can be annoying though when you see your basic price inflated by adding normal size cabin luggage and the ever present administration charge.

Be that as it may, I have never had an issue with Wizz Air's airplanes, flight crew, website or basic onboard service.

If you have a query, a complaint or an issue that requires human interaction or a quick resolution (before you fly) than the basic service will be a disappointing experience.

Mainly because of the premium (high cost per minute) telephone number, but also because it takes a long time for anything to happen like: a 20 minute wait to speak to an call center representative and a minimum of 30 days for a response to a complaint. A complaint might just be anything that that the call center representative cannot resolve.

In conclusion, as long as you're happy with the basic service Wizz Air is fine to deal with. A godsend for some.

However, whenever you have an issue that requires a first class service or a quick human response you'll be disappointed by their slow performance in this area.

Complete ripoff scam budget airline. Completely lie about fees then shrug their shoulders and said we clicked the option online. No where in any of our confirmation emails did it mention we would be penalized 93 ($108 USD , 30,000 HUF) for not checking in online 3 hrs ahead of our flight.

Had to stand in 2 very long slow lines to get ripped off. Nearly missed our flight and we re charged an absurd penalty. Never ever fly this airline. You will regret it. Just see all the other negative reviews.

After being put in the position to fly more with WizzAir, conclusions:
1) Staff incredibly rude, condescending and so often callous to a fellow human being

2) countless extra costs, all costs included it s substantially cheaper to fly with a non low cost airline

3) regular delays that aren t even due to the weather or the airports but poor airline operations management

4) waiting for hours in line to board, again because of poor management

5) left in a foreign country without transportation towards the actual destination TWICE

6)and of course my favourite part, after bumpy rides, 10 minutes before landing: In case of an emergency, you are kindly asked to leave ALL your belongings behind, thank you for your understanding (we landed well, but seriously WizzAir never again)

Don t even consider flying WizzAir the luring cheap tickets are not worth it

I always wonder why on earth do I book with this company... THE WORST ONE! Online system doesn t find my booking when I search for it. Trying to send a password reminder for half an hr and still no email came through. Help center ? Cal then for a high fee. No email contact , nothing. Useless company...
