Friendly folks. Check in was a little rough. I arrived at 10 because of my plane and I have a room till 3:15. Not the hotels fault, but come on...
Room was very clean. Not to much to do around town. Just be aware that the Uber and Lyft situation can be spotty.
Breakfast with Santa was a joke. The service was horrible and rude. Food was garbage. Burnt, dry and lacking any attention to detail. Better buffet at Golden Corral.
Several of us had Thanksgiving dinner there. I am a vegetarian and the chef made me a special entree.
Great place to stay. Nice rooms and friendly staff.
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. The chef's are inventive and knowledgeable. Our server was amazing.
A beautiful hotel, with friendly staff, clean rooms and comfortable beds. A great value.
I purchased a $300 gift card because I was told I could use it for anything the hotel offered... Restaurant, rooms, AND/OR spa services. I called today to book a spa day for me and a friend and was told I was misinformed when I paid for the gift card and can only use the gift card for massages IF I m a guest at the hotel. That s pretty annoying since I live in the same city as the hotel. When I expressed that frustration, I was told if I didn t want to stay at the hotel, I could still use if for a $300 meal at the restaurant. Seriously?!?! Does anyone want to buy a useless-to-me gift card? I ll make you a deal even though I can t recommend this scammer hotel to anyone.
Awesome! Beautiful hotel, great outdoor hot tub and pool, best hotel breakfast I think I ve ever had and best of all was the staff. Everyone from the front desk person to the manager was super friendly and attentive
We paid for a dinner on 2 separate tickets. One on my credit card and one on my friends credit card for the same dinner and would not correct it. I gave them a copy of both receipts for the same dinner and still haven't received a refund for the one dinner. It was a misunderstanding between me and my friend who was going to pay it. Plus they got double tipped from us. I did not know the tip is on the ticket. So, the 2 receipt's got 4 tip's. Lesson learned. If you want to fix the double payment for one dinner comment to me on this review. My friend tried to fix it, but could not get it done. Frustrating
Very nice hotel. comfy beds, would definitely stay here again
Nice place to stay with clean and attractive rooms.
Two words , so romantic!
Ok I lied there's more
Staff was friendly , decor was elegant and chic, they had these wicker chair outside that set the mood. Breakfast was definitely done right. Blueberry pancakes were delicious . The rooms themselves are a bit simple but otherwise the In is furnished very nice , so hang out downstairs .
Very friendly staff from the desk to the bar. The breakfast is great and the happy hour every afternoon appreciated. Wonderful place each time we've visited and can't wait till the next visit.
No place better in Palisade! Truly a great experience EVERY time.
Excellent location in a stunningly scenic location. We had a corner room with wonderful views of immense mesas, vineyards and apricot Groves. The staff was courteous and accommodating. The price was certainly right, and if you go be sure to book a tour of local vinyards and wineries with JR carriage Wine Experience, because there's nothing like a horse drawn carriage tour of this beautiful Rocky Mountain Valley.
This is a clean and comfortable hotel close to wine tasting venues . It has s courteous staff and nicely decorated grounds.
Indescribably delish fish tacos. Classy atmosphere.
Great place! Free wine tastings, breakfasts, fridge in room and even a microwave! Comfy bed. Can't argue with the proximity to the winery locations!
Great hotel in Palisades. Complimentary wine reception 5-6pm every day. The pool is great for bigger kids with a small hot tub next to it.
My husband and I went here just for dinner. The food was good, and they had a great wine selection, helpful staff, and nice ambiance. Kudos to Stacy the restaurant manager and other WCI staff for creating a great Palisade dinner experience!
The inn contains great amenities, restaurants, etc. Some of the clientele prefer a sophisticated atmosphere because of the focus on vineyards, so this is not a hotel for a lively bunch.
The food is really good. Staff very friendly. One of our favorite places to go.
This was a great spot to stay! The rooms are nice and they also have a pool & hot tub (we didn t end up using but it was really pretty) wine reception every day and really good food! Great location to do a winery tour & there are 3 wineries right by the hotel
We would definitely stay here again in the future!
Wine country inn is a beautiful hotel the rooms have amazing views and the food is great!
Love this place , serves the best mothers day brunch in the Valley! Highly recommend it!
We were looking for a place to stay while traveling on I-70 and discovered this wonderful hotel in Palisade, CO. Whether you're traveling or planning to use this as a destination resort to visit the 20+ wineries in the area, you cannot go wrong. The restaurant serves fantastic food! I had a shrimp Caesar salad, and my wife had the New York Strip, which was much larger than the 12oz listed on the menu. The entire hotel was spotless, well appointed and had the feel of a much larger hotel. The staff was friendly and professional. The free buffet breakfast was similar in food selection to other travel hotels, but was much better in quality. Choose this place and you won't be sorry.
My wife and I enjoyed a lovely dinner at the Tapestry restaurant. The wine list was excellent, and the Flatiron sandwich, lobster Mac and cheese, and fried calamari appetizer were all delightful.
Nice, quaint hotel. A bit strict on timing for restaurant times and could use a little more soundproofing between rooms, but overall a nice place to stay.
Always a great time here. Nice rooms, pool and as far as free breakfasts go they have one of the best.
Beautiful location and friendly staff! I was a little disappointed when we found out our room was overlooking the pool, but then we actually saw what that meant and I was pleasantly surprised! They have a beautiful garden surrounding the pool and we had a lovely view of the cliffs behind.
Room was very clean and pleasant, and our bed was HUGE! We booked a cheapo room and it was still a king!
We also went to their in house restaurant, Caroline's, and that was very good too. The bread pudding is a must!
And finally, the breakfast is everything they advertise it to be. I was very impressed! Be sure to try their offerings of local hot sauces and syrups!
Excellent stay right off the interstate. Cozy destination with an amazing staff that makes it fun to tour the wineries or hang out by the pool. Highly recommend this place.
Location is great and right next to vineyards and fruit stands. The rooms are well appointed and very nice for the price.
Clean rooms, great service at the bar, and they let us hang out at the hot tub past 10pm
Awesome Inn, perfect for a wine vacation. Beautiful rooms, wonderful ammenities. Good staff, and within decent walking distance to several great Palisade wineries.
My wife and I spent a weekend here in the offseason. Everyone was very nice breakfast every morning included. Very close to many wineries. I would go back. Beautiful views of the valley as well.
Stayed in a standard room. The room was quite and comfortable as well as being clean.
Just ok. If the purpose of your visit is wine country, you'll probably like it. Location is perfect. We go to GJ frequently and have more fun, find better value, and more food options in GJ.
We love this place. Every time we come to grand junction now we stay at the wine country inn. This is this first time with our almost 2 year old daughter. She loved it as well. Clean room and grounds. Friendly staff.and we love sitting on the porch by the pool enjoying a lazy morning or afternoon. I only wish the whole grounds was smoke free. Trying to enjoy the pool or eat breakfast outside only to be ruined by smokers. I hate that anywhere but here they have smoking buckets and trays. Smokers do not respect the property or other people around them.
Wow what an awesome place to be in! The views are amazing. Enjoy the fields of vineyards.
They did an awesome job for out company Christmas party! Food was delicious and the staff is amazing.
Wine Country Inn
1) Location: The WCI is located outside palisade, and is directly off the exit ramp, making it very easy to get to. It sits beneath the Bookcliffs, which are absolutely gorgeous in the evening. During the mid-day to afternoon it can get quite hot! but evenings and mornings are awesome.
2) Facilities: The facilities are... okay? There was a lot of minor wear and tear across the premises, and certain doors had tacky little labels on them from a label maker. A minor quibble, but WCI bills itself as a premier facility and this kind of ruins the aesthetic.
3) The worst thing we had here was the service. The waitress we had for our dinner was inattentive, and took over 20 minutes to refill our drinks (after being asked to do so), and we ended up flagging down a different waitress instead. She also mixed up who got what food, and didn't seem to really know what she was doing. Again, this is forgivable. But not at a place billing itself as a premier destination.
Overall 3 stars, mainly because the view is AMAZING.
This is a wonderful place to stay. My fourth time here. Rooms are very nice, very comfortable. The staff is great. The facilities are very nice. The breakfast buffet is wonderful. Dinner is very good.
Can't stop sampling and buying vineyard by vineyard
Great country club feel! Rooms are blah but the property is amazing. Staff are very helpful and nice. In the middle of wine country which makes for easy touring. Going to stay again.
Always a great stay. Love the lobster mac and cheese!
My husband and I recently held our wedding at Wine Country Inn in June 2016. We had heard that it was a fabulous location and that they were experienced in hosting weddings. I am still amazed at the excellent job they did! Vicki and Saunders were professional and always on the ball... they helped with important wedding details and were so kind when I switched the seating plan an hour before the reception!
Our guests couldn't stop commenting about the superb flavor of the food and the fantastic layout of the reception that Vicki, Saunders, and the Wine Country Inn staff had planned. We even asked for an ice cream bar and cake, and the staff at the Wine Country Inn were very flexible and helped plan that as well!
The accommodations at the Wine Country Inn were also incredible, and we had the use of the common area in the Vintner's house in addition to our rooms. As most of my family came from Pennsylvania, and my husband's from Grand Junction, it was great having a fairly large space with comfortable furniture and a kitchen! We also enjoyed a swim in the swimming pool and hot tub the night before and after the wedding..it certainly helped calm our nerves. Not to forget, their hot breakfast in the morning was also a treat!
Wine Country Inn and their wonderful staff made my dream wedding come true. They were affordable, professional, and just downright pleasant to work with. I highly recommend them as a wedding venue!
Room is a little dated, but VERY comfortable, beautiful setting - very serene. Breakfast was good, sadly did not get to do the wine tastings. Will be back!
Excellent place for a 19th wedding anniversary! Walking among the vineyards, wine tasting, hot tub, and picnics. Can charge everything to the room or use contactless payment options. Drone-friendly with spectacular aerial views of your tour (follow mode).
Had a long day traveling, arrived at hotel at 2:25 and told check in is at 4:00. The hotel looked empty, just a handful of cars in the parking lot on a Sunday afternoon in November. Came back at 3:20, stood at reservation desk, clerk,Rene, ignored me as she continued to type away knowing full well I was standing there waiting to be served. Finally acknowledged me and said your room will not be ready until 4:00...but no one is here???? We have stayed in hotels all over the world and have never had to wait until 4:00 pm ., even the busiest of hotels. We would have cancelled and gone back to Grand Junction but except for cancellation policy. So we sat watching the clock and saw no one else in the lobby for 2 hours. We are not impressed and felt the reception from Rene and the lady prior to her was less then desirable. Room was clean! We were stopping here for the night to see if this might be a good spot for a large summer family reunion of 75. But it s not happening now. Your front desk help are the gateway to your hotel and all 3 need customer service training. The Tapestry Restaurant was great! KT the manager made everyone feel welcome, immediately acknowledged all guests entering the restaurant/bar offering guests a complimentary glass of wine. Food was delicious! Best onion rings and bison burger we have had in a long time. Appreciate the complimentary offerings to guests including breakfast.
Very clean and quiet, great little town in Palisades
The food wasn't as good as it should have been for the price.
Get's better every year. Great hotel, staff, breakfast and peace
Beautiful Inn. We will stay there next time we are in town.
Very nice large clean rooms, beautiful view and very friendly staff! We will be back!
What a wonderful place! The view of the vineyards, mesa and mountains is amazing. The walkability to downtown, the brewery and the distillery is nice.
The property itself is clean, comfortable and staff is very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast beats some of the paid breakfasts I've eaten. The free wine hour offers local wines that are decent and/or tasty. The hot tub in the evening was perfect. My room had a private balcony which was a nice place to enjoy the beautiful weather and a glass or two of wine.
I enjoyed a massage at the spa. My masseuse was talented and I felt energized and relaxed. Definitely a great way to relax after hiking.
Great location to spend a night on your way to the national Parks. The rooms are clean and spacy, the service has been great and the pool is clean and for sure welcome if you are looking for some refreshment.
Very beautiful hotel and surroundings. Service was great.
This is the 4th time that we have stayed at the wine country inn. I can't say enough good things about this place! Friendly staff, very clean and great atmosphere. The restaurant has awesome food. Stacy (the manager) and his staff always make us feel welcome. Highly recommend the wine country inn!
Nice facility in a great setting amongst the vines.
Everything was exceptional, the complementary breakfast was amazing! Big shout out to Vicki at the Wine table, she was excellent and very knowledgeable with the wine selection. We will definitely be back at Wine Country Inn in the future!
