This company is a fraud, they lent themselves to give a loan under my name without me being present they helped a person to request a loan under my name using an expired ID and without me being present the same person who signed the loan also falsified my signature, they took my car from me for supposedly not paying and I didn't even know there was a loan under my name. And when I called they were always despotic and hung up on me, I fought and fought for an investigation to be held and in the end they returned my car to me, but after a year they returned it to me, they do not want to release the title, unfortunately this company is a total fraud.

Horrific Experience! Negative 10 rating ! Paid off loan in full 4 weeks ago and they are still holding my pink slip.! Hour on the phone dealing with people that DON'T Speak English and wont transfer the call AVOID this POS company
Took a few days to get the loan but they were efficient at checking everything off. They do charge you about 95% interest rate but this is for a short term loan to get you through a month or two and hopefully after that you can pay it off. They don't charge an upfront fee that is good but be prepared to pay about 10% of the loan amount each month i.e. $2,500 loan = about $240/month payment , so don't keep it very long
Wilshire Consumer Credit, was very professional, and very quick to help me get the money I need to catch up on bills I had fallen behind on. Thier interest rates while still a little high, are better than going to some places with interest rates of around 139%! If this happens to me again in the future, I will come back to Wilshire for help.
These people will add fees on to your account and refuse to tell u what they are from or give you and proof these fees are owed! After I paid my loan off i was told I had 1,100 in fees when questioned I was told I needed to pay the fees I was then told they would reinstate my loan for theses bogus fees and charge me more fees! They sent me paperwork which I did sign and returned as well as I made the payment they demand I pay on November 13, 2018 well on December 13, 2018 I received a letter that my fees doubled to 2,400 for no reason and when questioned they repossessed my car! There is a class action suit started against them with Top Class Action so please make sure u file a claim there as well! Also there is a claim filed against them with the CFPB and the BBB so make sure we follow up with these claims. I am military so also speaking with the Jag to see what else can be done.

I received a call from this number asking for my wife. I asked what this was in reference to, female on the other end of line stated she wanted to speak to her about "Stacy" + our last name (we have a very common last name). Told her I know of no such person and explained I would sue her company and she as an individual if there were any further calls. Seems to be a bottom feeder collection agency.

Could not be worse. Signed auto deduction and my truck was repossessed because Wilshire Consumer Group failed to deduct it. They use repo companies where it takes days to recover you vehicle. This is a scam company DO NOT USE AT ANY COST - FIND A LEGITIMEAT COMPANY< THEY DO EXIST. WILSHIRE CONSMER GROUP IS NOT LEGITIMEAT!!!
This is the worst and most disrespectful company I ve ever dealt with. I ve had my vehicle repossessed which is my fault but then they want to charge me double what I borrowed. They informed me that my vehicle was sold then I find out it was never registered for 3 years and I m paying penalties fees for it. Now I ve tried to contact them but they never answer. I m filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I m going to contact a Veterans group to assist me in getting the information. Do not deal with this company.
I had a title loan through another company and the interest rate was really high and they didn't have a convenient way to make payments so I opted to refinance the loan with Wilshire Consumer Credit. The people I worked with were friendly, as well as timely and professional and I felt as though they really cared about helping me refinance my loan. They were able to get me a better interest rate than my previous lien holders and I opted to receive additional funds to take care of some personal bills. I would highly recommend their service.
I received a title loan for my motorcycle and I paid it off 3 months later, the company has yet to return my title. It is May and I have paid it off in January. I have received no help from Wilshire Consumer Credit and every time I call I am told they will "investigate" and then someone will call me back in 24-48 hours and I never receive a call back.
DO NOT GET A LOAN FROM THIS PLACE!! I got a loan for $2500 and ive been making $260 payment for the last 5months on time and now i owe $2700 !!! Intrest rate is insane had i known the intrest was that much i would have defenitly gotten loan somewhere else. :// Then when i called to pay off the loan the man helping me asked me for my card info and after i gave it to him he hung up on me!! This company is the worse ever. They are helpful when applying. They leave messages. But once you have a loan getting assistance is horrible. When they contact you they never leave any messages. I called back only for them to say they don t leave messages. It s ridiculous. I requested to speak to a supervisor and was told they will call me back by end of day. No one ever did. I contacted them today and the supervisor said they same thing. After that when I told him the issue I had to repeat the same thing many times. And the beginning of the call he put me on hold for 5 mins. This company is the worse.

The absolute worst customer service in the world, I have never wrote a review online before, that is until I dealt with this company, I swear to Christ everything I say is true I paid my loan off in FULL 8 months ago everything was fine until last night where at 2:45 in the morning a repo man woke me up to beating on my door demanding the keys of course I refused then he said he was going to tow it anyway and propably cause damage to it, so he towed it I called wilshire first thing in the morning they said the pay off was good but I did not sign a paper in which I NEVER received that the loan accrued interest, but these good hearted maggots were going to waive the interest I just had to pay the repo charges, 475 dollars is what the repo charges were also after the pay off I called several times to see where my title was it was always in the mail or something you think after the many times I called for my title one of their thugs could have told me I needed to sign this mysterious paper, oh and one more crooked thing is when I paid the repo company I had to pay wilshire for the repo not the actual tow company so if you are reading these reviews odds are you are looking to do a title loan PLEASE save yourself alot of money, and embarrassment by having a repo guy come drag your car off your property and go anywhere but wilshire.
This company seriously helped me when I was in a pinch... I was late on my payments and they still helped me with extra time even when I missed my rescheduled payment. The ladies in the office were always kind to me. I know their jobs are hard and stressful, so having good customer service is a definite plus. ALSO - REMEMBER WHEN YOU ARE LATE THERE ARE DAILY LATE FEES, SO DON'T TAKE IT OUT ON THEM IF YOU DIDN'T READ THE FINE PRINT OF WHAT YOU SIGNED TO GET YOUR MONEY! My first payment was due Oct. 28th. I got into a bad car accident and I am having to pay a car rental out of pocket due to arbitration. I called them when my payment was due to let them know that I would be late on the payment but that I would pay it before the 30 days was up so it would not affect my credit. Today my payment is 21 days late and I called thwm to let them know I would be laling the payment soon, and that is when they informed me that they repossessed my car even though I called them and told them I was making the payment back on the 28th of October when it was due.
I asked customer service person to read the notes on my last call. They added a lie saying I was "warned and that it was being escalated" which is just a total lie, and that because even though I had a verbal committment on record to make the payment, that it wasnt good enough. I actually work in the banking and finance industry and took some time off from my career due to medical reasons. They are violating banking and finance laws. I intend on calling the CFPB tomorrow and there is also a governing agency thru the DMV which I intend on calling as well as the state attorney. I was told that their contract states that they can repo a car for not making the first payment within 15 days if there is not good cause. And because there is a record of my phone call in which I stated that there was a promise to pay, so I will be pursuing this legally. Shame on them. If anyone is reading this please call the CFPB on them if you have had the same experience and also the state attorney. They are the financial sectors watch dog and they will investigate. They are located in Los Angeles so the state of California's state attorney can handle this.
I would like to convey my appreciation for the outstanding customer service I received from Mr Miguel Ortega. Mr Ortega took the time and conveyed the patience to help me with an extremely frustrating and difficult situation. Right at the point I thought I had exhausted all options to avoid a repossession of my vehicle Mr Ortega went beyond what I consider the average customer service which we are all familiar with. Mr Ortega was able to work out another option that would allow me to keep my account in good standing, not worry about repossession and at the same minimize the amount I was required to pay. It is this type of customer service that all companies should strive for and maintain. I consider Mr Ortega's service as excellent and definitely advise anyone consumer reading this review to consider Wilshire Consumer. Mr Ortega should be commended for his outstanding professional and caring customer service. Thank you.
This place is the biggest rip-off on Earth they charge me 110% on my car loan and are robbing me every month and threatening to take my car I'm going to report them to the California Credit Bureau don't take a car loan from them

This was the worst experience ever. Not as if they care but first someone told us that we were approved, we sent them everything they needed, told us we would get money the next morning through money gram and then heard nothing back. We called them and they told us they changed their mind and we were no longer approved after sending them so many legal documents!!! Unreal
When I spoke with them on the phone they told me 9% interest, I even double checked verbally with them. Now, they say I owe them more than I even borrowed in the first place and they are apparently charging me 94%. Everytime, I ask to speak to a manager they either hang up on me or transfere me to a line that just rings, no one will answer. They are criminals! STAY AWAY! When I brought up the descrepency they asked if I had any proof of my conversation with the sales agent, if not too bad. Then they also refuse to send me any of the paperwork or records or even a list of fraudulent charges they are making me pay.

Bad, bad place to get a title loan. Very high interest, they make more than the car is worth. Not only that but we got there at 715am the guy Ruben said he would meet us there at 8am, he lied. The other representatives were doing their paperwork, taking their time. It was already 12 when the processor came out and asked us if we we're hungry and that we have been waiting so long. But then he tells us we have to get a GPS put on by a guy miles away it would take 1 and a half , more. My husband blew it , not only for that but they were going to charge total interest 27,000 dollars for lending me 21,000 . This place is a very greedy place that wants to take advantage of people needing money. They saw us like animals in the waiting room. They did not respect us as human beings. I have waited less in a hospital emergency room. They have no heart.
I was having difficulty making my payment this month so I called and spoke to Miguel Ortega. He was wonderful and helped me make arrangements that fit in my budget this month. I know because of him, I could keep my car. I would highly recommend using Wilshire Consumer credit and Miguel for anything financial you made need.

Really bad experience. I would recommend to anyone, not to ever use this company. It took me 4 months to get my title back. They don't send you your title. You have to go to DMV and wait in that long line. I was 2 weeks late and they repossessed my vehicle. They will not work with you. Cost me an extra $500 to get my truck back.

Getting the loan was easy, although they took 2+ hours, they did they paper work and told my dad what all the fees would be for. The customer service rep (David Rojas) was awesome on that initial day, we got the loan, and paid it off a month later. The problem started after the loan was paid, when we initially took out the loan the customer service rep told us we would have our title back after 7-30 days of the loan being paid. We paid and one month passed nothing, two months nothing, three nothing, so we ended up calling them. We called on Wednesday February 27, 2019 we called and their operator (Eduardo) told us to call My Title Support, which he didn't know the hours for, but did provide the number. So that following Friday we called My Title Support, where they let us know that Wilshire Consumer Credit was still holding our title due to it not being paid off, for which we were taken aback because we had a confirmation number for the pay off. We had to call back to Wilshire were we once again talked to an operator who had no idea what he was doing. We were told that they did send the pay off letter to My Title Support so they were responsible for us not receiving our title, when we told them we had already called and talked to them and the let us know that Wilshire didn't send anything they "doubled checked". The operator said they did all they had to, maybe we had moved, we told them we had not, so they blamed our neighbors, to which I asked, " wouldn't you think that if my neighbors had my mail after 3 months they'd say something?". The operator then was very condescending and said "you can go on My Title Support and pay a $41 fee to request a duplicate of your title", my dad was upset at that point because he paid all those fees when he got the loan, at least that's what David explained and the contract said. So then the operator said "fine I'll send you a pay off letter, and you can do what you feel needed", he emailed the letter and said that's all he could do, so we told them if we couldn't get our problem fixed we would find other means of fixing it. We ended up printing the pay off letter and went to the DMV a week later, where they told my dad there was no need for him to go, Wilshire had sent the pay off letter 3 days before. We lost time and almost lost our title, make sure to ask for representative's names and keep all confirmation numbers. Long story short, WILSHIRE'S GOAL IS TO KEEP YOUR MONEY AND YOUR CAR, BEWARE AND USE WITH CAUTION!!
This is a rip off company. If I could give them less than 1 * I would! They have hidden fees. Beware! Their manager Ms. Berenic Hernandez is not very helpful! She refused to hang up the telephone so I would not give her a bad review. This company is to be avoided at all costs. I am paying off this loan in less than three months. Glad to be out of their "clutches".
Wilshire Credit is the best. My Saturn of the year really didn't qualify in the loan category for a title loan but they worked around it and they got me my loan. Wilshire Goes up and beyond to help you out.. When I lost my job they worked around it and they help me out. The agent Miguel Ortega Was very Polite and professional and he worked wonders for me. So I just wanna say without you Wilshire credit or Miguel Ortega I would be lost. So if anybody needs a loan Wilshire credit is the place to go.

This is a great company. They were honest and always courteous. Helpful and understanding. They would bend over backwards to help me when i was late or needed lower payments. Unfortunately i had to file for bankruptcy and i felt bad. But if i could get another loan with them i would and i also plan on paying them at least a quarter of the money back even though im in bankruptcy( if i legally can) Im not sure where some of the bad reviews are coming from but they were flexible and great
Literally the worst company I have ever dealt with. During the time that I had my loan there were MULTIPLE times where the company magically had a problem processing the payments that I called in (causing fees to accrue). I repeatedly would call in with questions and when the representatives were presented with questions that they could not answer, the phones disconnected and I had to call in again. Lastly, I have had my loan paid off for over a month and my credit report is still showing my balance from February. I have received the pay off letter and yet it's still reflecting and affecting my score over a month later.
This company is detestable and I would not recommend them to anyone. The reps are hit and miss (some were exceedingly pleasant and were great to deal with, but it was more of a surprise than a standard). Multiple payment issues, and a complete lack of clarity when detailed questions were answered. Now I've still got these people on my credit report over a month after they have been paid, with no reporting whatsoever showing since February of this year. There is no excuse for this.
Use another loan service if you must turn to a title loan. This particular company is a nightmare to deal with.
My account was always kept in Good Standing as I wanted to use this account to help me re-establish my credit - I took an extremely heft hit with the outrageous interest rate but I knew I had to do it. I paid off the account in less than 1/2 the time I should have and it has been 58 days and they still have not showed this account as paid off!! When I called them they said they take anywhere from 45 - 60 days to report it paid off!! Their customer service had always been sub par but this takes the cake for me. I get every piece of junk mail under the sun from them to refinance or get another loan from them - They are kidding themselves if they think anyone would want to go back to them for their lack of customer service!
These people will not work with a person. And fabricate things. Allegedly they said I said not to call my cell phone which I would never tell them that. Thought my truck payment went thru but it did not and instead of letting us know (it showed the money was paid on our account) so they repo it. These people in my opinion are PREDATORS!!
My car just got re-po not for non Payment but because WCC made an error and created two accounts! I gave them proof and Bank confirmation number they wanted me to take a picture of my bank statement which my Bank app does not allow me to, they want a name of who I spoke to when I called to clarify why you said I was late on My payment! That notebook is in the car that they repossessed! If I could give them negative on point ratings I would! Borrowing from Wilshire. Consumer has been the worst mistake of my life, only took this loan because my uncle was dying of cancer and I needed emergency money, they are not going to reimburse me for that I missed missed work wich was Wednesday and Thursday! I just want you to reimburse me for Those 2 lost day's of work! I don't want to report this Situation to the Better Business Bureau!

Take my advice and never use these people!!!! I made a mistake and got a loan from Wilshire and gave them the title to my motorcycle. I lived in California and move to Texas. I paid off my loan and never received my title back. Call them a number of times and all I get is the runner around. Now I have to drive from Texas to California to get a title that I gave them. 1) Never do a loan with these people. 2) If you do never give them your title. I paid off my truck, ford sent me my title, I paid off my car, GM sent me my title, I paid off Wilshire, I get the run around and no title. They customer service is the worst I've seen. Oh and by the way, they won't let you talk to a manager..... A one star is way too many.
Horrible Company! Be aware of this company they are not here to help you. Never ever try getting a car loan from this company they are the worst of the worst. They charge 4 times what they give you back and if you ever miss a payment they will report your car to the ghettoestate place ever!! After paying what you owe to get the car back they make it nearly impossible to realeas paperwork to the deposit company meanwhile your paying storage fees and not to mention the $300 plus dollar that you have to pay for the report. The customer serious along with management are completely rude, disrespectful and just plain ignorant. I hate this place will never ever recommend this place to anybody. This company is horrible!! DO NOT TAKE ALOAN FROM THIS COMPANY!!! 6 days ago I paid off the balance, or so I thought. The balance stated zero online and @no amount due . Then I started getting calls from them but no messages left. I called and they said I owe $132.19, even though the home page online says that I owe $0.00 . I looked at the online account history which nows says I owe $56. I asked for an accounting to show what I owe. They sent me an accounting saying I owe $55. They then emailed me the same day a letter saying my payoff balance amount is $132.19 but they gave no accounting as to why the payoff amount differs from the online balance.
This company charges exorbitant interest rates. And if if you are a few days late with a payment, they call several times a day every day. If you answer and say I can t pay today but I can pay in a week, they threaten to repossess the vehicle. They will repossess if you are 30 days late. This company is not ethical. Don t do business with them!!! They lack transparency.
I have had loans before and the amount due is exactly what is shown on the account balance online. If they say call to find out your payoff balance, the reason to call is because the payoff amount is less due to a reduction in interest. But with Wilshire Consumer Credit,, the payoff amount is higher than the balance shown on the online account balance or paper statements.
I've gotten 3 Loan now, very fast, and easy to pay system. On my first l loan they even refinanced me after a competitor offered me a low rate, these guys are awesome!

Years ago I had a less than perfect credit score and Wilshire gave me a loan and helped me rebuild my credit at a lower interest rate than most of the other finance companies.
I have been trying for 2 months almost to get a lien release and have yet to get one. I keep getting the run around to call this number, call that number, wait until Friday. It is getting old. I don't recommend their customer service.
This is the worst place ever to get a loan from I was in a car accident and my car is totaled I sent them my insurance check to paid u guys off it s been there since December 7th mind u this is the second check the first one u guys lost it is now Jan 9th and I haven t received the rest of my money nor my pink slip I called u guys and u guys keep giving me the run around I am a single mother wit two kids a 10 years old and a 2 month old I need the rest of my money to get me a new car for me and my kids it s cold and I have to take my little one out to take my other one to school WALKING REALLY!!
