My boyfriend and I booked a room today (2/10/18) for my birthday as it was yesterday. We decided to bring my 13 year old sister and 5 year old cousin along with my 7 month old daughter. Upon arrival after what had already been a terrible day, we were told that we might not be able to stay here due to the children not being ours (my daughter was free as she is under 3). They asked for their ages and I had told them they were 13 and 5 along with stating they were my family and had full permission from my mom and aunt to have them along with us. The issue was our ages as he is 21 and I am 20. In order for them to stay with us they are to be 18, which means they are no longer children. My sisters birthday was the weekend before and we choose to bring them along so they could enjoy a little getaway too. We stayed in a different resort last night which had zero problems with us having children that were not ours. All in all I am very disappointed that we were discriminated against all because of our age as we are both legal adults. We are allowed to stay, but the staff member checking us in needed to comfirm with her manager and I have a feeling the only reason we are allowed to stay is due to my birthday being yesterday. So if you are an older sibling with a significant other who wants to bring your younger siblings (under 18) to the wilderness, don t as you will be told you can t stay here.

It's an incredible place with plenty of things to do. The multiple pools and arcades. Every where you look there's something new to see. The only problem is that they make it difficult for people with disabilities or the elderly to get around. Every thing is so spread out in different buildings and the shuttle service is not managed well at all. I would recommend for people with disabilities or limitations plan ahead bring a scooter or wheelchair if possible.

Best winter getaway! We went to Mount Olympus in February and we were so dissatisfied with they're establishment that we went swimming at The Wilderness instead. Always choose the Wilderness if you're going to the dells in the winter! Always!

IMO, this is the best resort in the dells. There are so many water parks to visit, and they cover all ages. It usually isn't so packed that you're waiting hours, because there's just so much to do! The wave pool and outdoor hot tub are my favorite. Outdoor hot tub is a MUST if you're visiting in the winter!

Would of given 5 stars but my friend who owes timeshare couldn't get us in. Lady was so rude to her there.

I understand that but it was the wilderness resort that wouldn't let us in. She had to call Wyndham to get it resolved. Lady was rude to her.

We stayed one night. For the most part it was great, however, the ending to it was disappointing to the point where we will never come back. I understand that if we leave something behind in a room that's on me, I respect that. What I don't respect is the run around for a month to realize they had thrown out an expensive boot. The communication between departments is poor at best. No one wants to communicate and that screws over the customer. Don't tell us we can pick something up and then make it impossible. Customer service is not that hard, just talk to each other.

My only hope is that someone who actually cares will see this and bring it up at a staff meeting or something of the sort and fix the hold up in communication.

The water attractions were fairly nice. The beds were like sleeping on a concrete slab. The food and drinks are extremely pricey, bring your own and save yourself some money. The arcades and other attractions are pricey as well, it was 7 dollars to ride go carts for about 7 or 8 minutes. You can buy a bracelet and ride the go carts, bumper boats and do lazer tag as much as you like. If your kids want to climb the rock wall or play mini golf, that's not included with the bracelets. A soda from the vending machine is 3 dollars. Bottom line...you need deep pockets.

This was our first stay in the Dells over 01-24/01-26 weekend. Our stay started off rocky with an unclean shower and a shower that was either way to hot or ice cold, making it impossible to shower ourselves let alone our kids. This was fixed by staff after two calls to the front and waiting. The Waterparks were a lot of fun, plenty to do for our family. The only downfall was how crowded it was and very limited chairs-table space. Arcades and go-carts were fun!

Sunday was going well until we went to get lunch and our car was vandalized in the parking lot. We had been parked over the line a bit as we parked in between two other vehicles the evening before and it was snowing therefore you could not see any lines. We met with security whom stated their cameras would not pick up that part of the parking lot and that they could not control their guests. I expressed my concern for the lack of overall security and safety in the parking lots with the amount of money we pay to stay here. No further resolution was offered or reimbursement for the troubles. For this I was quite taken back and very disappointed. For reference we were parked right outside of door 7, near the building. For this incident alone, I m not sure we ll be back. I m very disheartened.

I hope this helps make your future travel destination decision. The last thing we wanted to do was worry while on vacation.

1st time at The Wilderness. We rented a 2 bedroom unit at Glacier Canyon Lodge. Room was beautiful, clean and very spacious! Check in was quick and easy. Just avoid the Wyndham timeshare pitch. They got real pushy and insulting when I would not commit to their "120 min. presentation". Resort is clean and has so much to offer. My husband and I relaxed more while our 18yr old daughter and her friend did the waterpark and arcades. We will be back for sure! Thank you Wilderness for the much needed 2 days of relaxation!

This is a nice place. We had a pool view suite with a fridge and microwave. The water parks we very fun and all but 1 ride could be ridden by our 7 year old. We ate on site as well as at monks and fields. Both offsite locations we were able to get to by a free shuttle. We were here over the fourth of July and the rides had reasonable wait times nothing very long and it wasn't overly busy. All in all it was a great trip for our family.

Several water parks and activities. Clean environment. Have shuttles to take you different locations thru the resort. Food very expensive for the quality. Staff needs more training in serving and in providing directions.

I stayed in the Wynham part of the Wilderness, Too much walking through the maze to get to the water park. Room was clean. Had shuttle busses but at times had to wait for the shuttles. Ate at Fields at the Wilderness. Too expensive, the food was good, just the cost was way to expensive. But this was 4 years ago. But I have been wanting to come back for spring break. But when I try to make reservations online, the online always states nothing available.

I don't know how I am going to describe our suppose to be 2 nights and 3 days of stay. We left the next day after my car got stolen on our first night. The front desk told us that they are going to refund us. Even the drink that I order which is $15. Which we didn't get all the refund not even the $15 drink. We weren't expecting for the refund but they told us that they are going to give us the refund.
I was so stressed out. Supposed to be our family mini vacation also we just got married on June 27th. And we can't enjoy it because someone stole my car in there parking lot. I have to call my friend that lives 3 hours away to come and pick us up. I would never never come back or recommend this place.

AWFUL! The staff and guests are rude, obnoxious, ...

AWFUL! The staff and guests are rude, obnoxious, belligerent, condescending, and have no respect for guests, their time, or their money. I called the front desk NUMEROUS times regarding the use of the fitness center by other guests late at night right next to my room. Each time I was assured that security had been informed, looked into it, security swore the room was clear.. but it wasn't. The fitness room was supposed to close at 10pm. Come to find out, it was a STAFF member using the room and dropping weights until 10:23pm.
Additionally, at 10:19pm, I found maintenance staff loitering in the hallways talking loudly on cell phones. I called back to the front desk, begging them to stop the noise, as it was a weeknight, after 10pm, and in addition to the staff being rude there were guests drinking and hanging out in the hallways above my room bellering at kids racing around.
Yes, it is a family fun oriented place. Yes, kids scream and run in the waterparks and hallways. HOWEVER, this place KNEW there were both gymnasts competing early the next morning and had bid to let rooms to us. But, they weren't interested in housing athletes for a competition..they just wanted our money.
When I called the front desk back, snarling that it was late and I wanted quiet...I wasn't rude, foul, or elevating my voice, THEY HUNG UP ON ME!
The next day I went to check out and verify they had comped the room. They did not and they refused to do so. I was offered a manager (just as soon as she finished a phone call), but had to leave for the competition- I promised to return later.
When I returned later...the front desk supervisor told me that she understood I had already spoken with the manager. And, that the LIVE security footage from the prior evening did not correlate to my 'story'. I told her that was two lies...to my face! They refunded me $50 of the $200 they collected for the stay, called me a liar, refused to acknowledge they had done anything wrong, claimed they had indeed looked into my 'allegations' and sent me on my way.
I've NEVER had such horrific service at a hotel by the staff no less... than I received here. Please...if you like drinking in the hallways.. never getting any sleep, being called names by the staff, and generally ignored and mistreated- then, by all means give them all your money. Otherwise- STAY AWAY! I'm never going back.

Just spent 4 nights 5 days at the Glacier Canyon Lodge with a family of 6 ! Room was incredible ! Private balcony in master bedroom and bunk beds in another room. Fully equipped kitchen saved us a decent amount of money on food. Staff was extremely helpful, everything was clean. Also enjoyed the Zipline ! We will definitely be coming back again. Thanks for being a wonderful escape from the real world craziness right now ! My vacation couldn't have been more amazing.

Excellent Place to take the kids for a Vacation. I have 3 myself, and the wilderness offered more than enough activities, in a very wide, multi complex layout, so you don't feel claustrophobic nor smothered while inside the parks. The 2 bedroom Condominium we got was clean, stocked, and really offered that *Home Away From Home* atmosphere, and comfort.
Food, and all the Extras ( to which there are MANY ) are a bit Pricey, so prepare for that. We spent about $500 more than originally planned! Other than that just avoide the Person waiting for you right Next to Check IN, they are trying to get you to go on a *Wyndham Tour* for a few free Tokens, and resort bucks! It's a 3 hour sales pitch robbing you of you're time. Politely Pass on it, you'll thank me...

We had a very nice stay. The only reason I took off 1 star was because of it being pretty crowded...but it was the weekend. Take advantage of the shuttle system if you go. It's way better than walking. There are a lot of things to do. Some activities cost extra but I was prepared to spend a lot. Everything costs a lot in Wisconsin Dells. All the water activities except bumper boats are included. I think if we went when the outdoor water parks are open then each park might not have been so packed. Do take the advice of others and dont book a room on the second floor as that is the floor that most if the foot traffic happens between parks.

Best hotel of the Dells. This beautiful Resort is the polar opposite of the Chula Vista. The numerous water parks are all fantastic. The activities are unmatched anywhere in the dells, my boy had the time of his life. The resort is in the middle of everything, Walmart, Domino's pizza, restaurant's whatever you need it's literally down the street. We found our new spot in the Dells! The Wilderness Resort is our new home away from home while in the Dells.

I rented the 3 bedroom suite and was very pleased. This place is far better than Great Wolf Lodge. There's something to do for everyone. It's a large complex with many water parks throughout. It can be a bit of a walk but the shuttle's worked out great for us (when needed). Food and drinks are pricey but if you plan it well (bring grab and go breakfast items and sandwiches for lunch) you can make it affordable. I suggest going out of the complex for dinner. We found some good places nearby. The grandchildren LOVED this place!!!

My family and I visit the Wilderness yearly (sometimes more) and usually I am very impressed. On our current visit, I noticed that the dirty sheets were put BACK onto the beds in our room. This was absolutely unacceptable and in my opinion very unsanitary. Highly disappointed in the Wilderness after this visit.

It was an excellent two days. The waterparks at this resort are excellent and easy to get to.
The kids loved it. The gokarts were great. The food at the concessions were very pricey and the arcade was a rip off. But, the staff, life guards, and resort itself were very good.

Overall, the Wilderness Resort is a blast for kids and adults of all ages! I went with a group of 4 adults and had a very pleasant stay. We went over Thanksgiving weekend, so I can't speak to the outdoor areas. I d totally recommend/stay again!

Positives:
Admission to 3 different indoor water parks included in the price of the room

Clean rooms

Great water parks! There are enough thrill and low-key attractions to please everyone.

Plenty of on-site restaurants and snack bars in the water parks. (Definitely visit the frozen yogurt bar and the candy store for amazing truffles and cookie dough fudge.)

Free shuttle bus service to and from the casino and some other local places.

Staff are quick to respond to obnoxious guests/people breaking rules in the parks.

Negatives:
It can take about 10-15 minutes to walk from one side of the resort to the other (walking distance depends on where your room is located/where you want to go). HOWEVER, everything is connected by skyways/hallways so I really can t complain about that too much :).

Entry is not super clear for non-guests. We had a friend join us at the parks for a day staff initially told him that the parks are guest only even though he paid admission online. Then they told him to go to a different entrance where he finally got checked in.

No complimentary breakfast.

Lockers cost $10-$12, but they can be used as long as you need.

No mask inforcement from staff during covid, the checkout counter and several other staff had no mask on. Almost ever patron didn't care to where mask. We chose the dells as it was half way point on trip. Water park looks fun not on a pandemic.

In short:
No mask by even staff during covid 19
Room was not cleaned proper, I found toenails and other garbage on floor

We could not run out of that hotel fast enough in the morning.

I'm very disappointed with the service I received at the resort. I booked a room with 3 friends for my birthday, when we arrived (after a 3 hour drive) we were told we weren't allowed to stay due to the fact that our parents weren't present. I was with my 22 year old sister who legally is my guardian along with my 17 and 19 year old friends. The woman at the front desk was very rude about the situation and did nothing to help us. We spent $365 to be told we weren't welcome. We come here every year and this is the first its been an issue. I will be taking my money to Kalahri which is offering us our own cabin for the same price. I hope Wilderness realizes not everyone vacations with their parents.
