Great experience for my family's first trip to the Dells. Our kids are 8 and 12. Check out Survivor's restaurant- one if the best burgers I've ever had! I dont remember the exact name of the burger, but it had mango with a habanero sauce, I believe. I ordered it medium rare. Amaaaaaaaazing!!!!!! Stay at Wilderness on the Lake if you want a more relaxing experience away from the tourist chaos. We stayed in the King Suite. Fabulous!!

Would love to go back here, just need to know if the racist bartender still works there in the main entrance bar. The manager was nice enough to offer us whatever we wanted for free after the bartender said she didn't have anything we asked for and talked about us. I didn't accept anything, but I had a great time before that.

My family and I love it here. Make accomodations every year. Large parks with plenty to do. Plenty of good places to eat. They have bathrooms everywhere. Only downside is the adult beverages are veey expensive.

Parking is ridiculous and does not accommodate all of the visitors. Additionally, poor insulation between floors. You constantly hear running and playing in the hallways. No exaggeration, but it was so loud it was akin to a train passing by. I reserved two units--one for me and one for a guest with a check in the day following mine. A big snowstorm was approaching and one staff person advised me to have the other guests drive in early to avoid the storm and they'd bring extra linen. Now they are saying its against resort policy and they will not. How eff'd up!

Fun place to be. Water doesn't seem to be as cleaned as it used to be. Perhaps due to number of people at the pool. Hurricane ride closed but the other big ride by the wave pool only had 1 line open. I will go again but hopefully, it will be better next time.

We are highly disappointed in the "resort fee" charge ($25.90 + tax) that was added to our bill. When we contacted the resort, we were told that everybody is charged this fee and it includes the daily newspaper, shuttle service, restocking of supplies during our stay (shampoo, soap, toiletries, coffee, etc.) and Wi-Fi. While the Wilderness has so much to offer, we NEVER used ANY of the items that they supposedly restocked, read the paper, or used the shuttle service but we paid for it. To us this is price gouging, we were with a group of at least 10 families that didn't use any of these services ($276.50 for absolutely NOTHING) Lastly, don't drink the bottled water in the room you will also have a "hefty" price to pay. We will NEVER return to this resort! What a racket!

CHECK ALLLLL OF YOUR RECIEPTS! I paid for the room up front and paid for everything else charge by charge. They forged one of my receipts at the wet bar by the wave pool from $53 to $63 by easily turning the 5 to a 6.....NOT HAPPY AT ALL. Great room and have no complaints with the stay, but this is complete cow dung

We've stayed at the wilderness on the lake (which was by far our favorite, we went in july) also we've stayed at the hotel(our first time). Our last visit last weekend was at the Glacier Canyon Lodge only because everything else was booked. Wisconsin dells is our favorite quick getaway resort. We love the wave pool. And in the summer their outdoor waterparks are also pretty awesome. Only disappointing thing this time was the walk from the lodge to the indoor water park even though they do have a sky walk so you dont have to go outside it's a decent walk through cold walk ways. They did seem to have heaters but I dont believe they were on. We cut our visit short on our 3rd day everyone had a cold I believe from walking back through the cold hallways.

It is a great water park if you enjoy water parks, and not just a spouse of someone who is a water park enthusiast. Luckily a nearby motel (Field's Park Motel) has room rates less than half of the rates at the Wilderness, but have free Wilderness Water Park wristbands! All the fun for half the price. But you do have to drive a few minutes to get to the water park.

We were totally bamboozled by the Wilderness Resort! We booked our stay and were never told that the Water Dome would be closed! The Water Dome is the only reason we stay at the Wilderness! The managers and phone staff were rude, forcing me to say a few choice words. They did finally comp us 1/2 a nights stay after 3-4 calls and an email. I don't know why they like arguing with their clients that they claim they care so much about??? We don't know about you but... We won't be staying here any more!

Wave pool in the dome was a lot of fun. Really disappointed with overall customer service though. It was surprising that we only encountered one friendly Wilderness employee. The rest were miserable human beings.. from the guy at check in to the guy at the laser maze on the way out.

It was a horrible experience from check in. The front desk staff was less than friendly. Our first room was dirty and our second one had an issue as well and the phone was broken. The front desk again was less than helpful and unfriendly. We will not be back and will not recommend this place to anyone we are friends with. This place has gone down hill and we are very disappointed.

Way too far of a walk from hotel rooms (Canyon Lodge Condo's) to water parks. Too big, too many people, and way crowded. Needs more indoor waterpark areas and several more slightly warm to hot tubs for all ages.

This place has tons of things to do with the kids. It was crazy packed when we went and even though other guests were friendly it detracted from our experience. The rooms were clean, but nothing exciting.

Evidently near emergency services, woken multiple times each night by fire trucks. Woken by construction down the hall. Resturant services very slow even without many customers. Water parks were clean and staff friendly and helpful.

I love the wilderness. Have been there a number of times. Just got back today from a 3 night trip. The whole experience was great except for one thing. There should be some kind of rule in place for kids in the hot tub. The hot tub should be a place for adults to get away and have a drink. It s kind of hard to relax when there are sometimes up to 10 kids jumping and splashing around. Otherwise was a good stay.

The stay would have been a great one if the place wasn't so dirty. The room smelled and was poorly cleaned. When I called to complain, the response was that the daily room cleaning didn't include the bathroom, changing bedsheets or wiping off table surfaces until after 4 nights. Disgusting. The waterparks were no better. Filled with dropped snacks and discarded bandaids without workers going around to clean the waterparks throughout the day. Very disappointed given the price paid.

Lots of kids at this mega resort. Great for a weekend getaway fro the flatlands. Wave pool and swim up bar were highlights in the middle of February. Not sure why everyone was calling us FIBs, must be a term of endearment...

The water parks were a ton of fun, but the hotel was meh. I get that you're paying for the water parks, but even off season this wasn't cheap and our room had someone else's hair in the bathroom and garbage on the floor. The buffet restaurant was way over priced for rock hard fried food. When you realize that Walt Disney world hotels are about the same price, it puts the issues in even greater perspective! I'd definitely come back, as it is fun, but will temper my expectations and maybe bring food with me.

We do our annual Christmas for some of our Kids and Grandkids. We just love the place and the different water parks. Many places to eat and games and shopping. Food is great and shuttle services was needed this year with all the rain. We love this special time with our family.

Fun place, expect to get cracked over the head on everything. Internal pizza place sucks. Parks are fun. Plan on bringing your own snacks/food. Buy refillable beer glasses. Best price in whole resort on refills

Our stay at the villa was excellent, the outside attraction DOA escape room will not return your deposit, once you have booked, even if you contact them in timely manner this is$277.00 that was taken for no service.

Been here many times. My kids have fun every time. I would give it 5 stars but the service is very inconsistent and I'm getting tired of them trying to sell me a time share. It's annoying.

Me and my mom took my kids here for a quick two night stay and it was great. The kids both had fun, as did we. Rooms were cozy and there was alot for us to do. Definitely will be brining them back again when we go to the Dells. Definitely best to go in the off season and during the week if you can, so much more quieter and less people then.

Not worth the money as they are one of the higher priced properties. Yes, you do get passes to their park however, the elevator didn't work and the front desk didn't seem to care much that we we're on the 4th floor and had to carry all of our stuff up and down the stairs.

Also, the room two rooms down had somewhat of a party going on and security did nothing to keep the noise down.

Would have been much better off staying at a Hilton or a non-theme park hotel and just buying passes for one of the better water parks.

We spent four nights in a deluxe 2-bedroom at Glacier Canyon Lodge (part of the Wilderness Resort) and our family of four had a fantastic time! The buildings were clean--in fact, it seemed like there was always someone cleaning, at all times of the day, in all the different buildings. We visited four different water parks without leaving the resort, and our kids loved the pools, slides and lazy rivers.

We bought fun passes for the attractions, but there was so much to do we couldn't do it all in the time we had, (when we were there, some of the water parks and attractions closed earlier than others and we nearly missed out on the bumper boats.) I would advise visitors to plan out your stay after you get there, and decide if the passes are right for you based on how many of the attractions you want to do, how much time you have and what the cost would be without the passes.

We only visited one of the restaurants, Survivors, and it was okay--not bad, but nothing to write home about. There is an on-site pizza place that smelled wonderful, but we stayed in the 2-bedroom so that we could save money by cooking some of our meals ourselves.

We walked A LOT over the course of four days, but the do offer shuttle service between buildings, (at least during the summer.)

Overall, it was a great experience. Friendly staff, including the lifeguards and housekeeping staff. We would recommend this resort to families with children of any age!

Great family place to relax. Expect lots of kids and everything you need to enjoy a waterpark (or a few of them). They made a relaxing vacation so easy. Too bad there is not a whole lot to do in Wis. Dells, so a 4-5 nighter is usually plenty. If staying for at least 4 nights with an 8+ kid, make sure to get ultimate arcade bands, kids can do go carts for a long time, definitely worth it. This is our 10th time in the Dells (I think), I am looking forward to sitting in a cabana with a 46 ounces margarita in my hand, reading a book and with kids running around a waterpark enjoying themselves. It is a win-win. Service here is outstanding.
