Great rooms, very dog friendly, terrific staff and servers -- especially Cat! The pool area, bar, and lobby are THE place to be in Aiken or anywhere short of Charleston, Savannah, or Atlanta.

I went to lunch here with a friend and I loved. The service was amazing, and the food was delicious. The staff was really nice, and everything was extremely fancy. Even the coffee/desserts looked amazing and tasted heavenly.

This historic hotel is a must visit place while in Aiken. The staff has always been wonderful and service impecable. The restaurant is a great place to dine and unwinding at the bar. The rooms are gorgeous and leave you with a sense of how it use to be in the early 1900's. Love going here.

Amazing staff, they were so friendly and welcoming. The food they served was top notch and the setting of the hotel along with the history was incredible. Downtown Aiken was close by, and the hotel was extremely accommodating of the corporate function I was in town for. They truly were ready and consistently going above effort expectations.

The room, was a little less than expected. I had a room that had a saggy spring bed, it was clearly worn out but considering you're selling mattresses in your room literature, I expected better. The shutters were broken and while they add to the charm the dust did not. The bathtub handle felt like it was in disrepair but just pieced together.

Great old Southern charm facility with great historical background. Sunday brunch is great, but you should always make reservations for any dining event, including brunch. Highly recommend for for a fine dining experience, bring some cash because it can get expensive, but worth every dollar.

By far the best restaurant in the entire CSRA. Possibly the best in South Carolina, but it'd be neck and neck with Hall's Chophouse in Charleston. A must see establishment if you're in town visiting.

We had drinks by the pool on Friday evening. The service and cocktails (old fashion with OJ and fresh muddled cherries) were excellent. The pool area is set in a beautiful patio with lots of beautiful lighting and surrounded by magnolias and southern charm. Super romantic! We look forward to returning in the very near future to this historic hidden gem.

Absolutely stunning and the people working there were incredible. Very nice and personable and the rooms were wonderful but the pool area was the real stunner! It was clean and relaxing with free cucumber and lemon ice water and complimentary bug spray and sunscreen. I can't wait to visit again. Plus it has a spooky past which is always more fun.

Nice.

Enjoyed cocktails, dessert, and live jazz music on a Thursday evening in the elegant lobby of the Willcox! I was glad I dressed casual nice since most folks there looked nice. Not fancy, but slacks and collared shirts for the gentleman and slacks or skirts/dresses for the ladies (with some pearls noticed too). The ambiance was similar to a clean, smooth jazz place, with beautiful woodworking, large fireplace and lovely sitting arrangements - some couch settings, high top tables and regular tables grouped around the lobby area. There's also a restaurant behind the lobby; call first since it seemed like you may need a reservation. Parking is on the street. It was a wonderful end to a day of antiquing!

When you hear about a hotel being one of the top 10 hotels on THE PLANET, you expect to walk into one and there will chandeliers and fountains and other fancy stuff, something which I could never relate with because I've never been that rich to enjoy living in those hotels, but what you find is homeliness, vintage style, friendly and classy Southerners, an amazing bar and AMAZING drinks. That was my evening at Wilcox.

This place was amazing in the sense of its history. It's a page right out of the roaring 20's. I went in wearing nice pants and a button up and I felt like I wasn't dressed fancy enough. The upholstery is perfect and the ambiance is upper class. Definitely worth a visit if you're in town. Lots of history was made here too.

The service was mediocre. We never got checked up on by our server. We all ran out of drinks and couldnt get refills until our food came because the server "had to come to the table". The portion of sebas that was given was so small. It was about two full bites. I have a really horrible experience. I do know this is a nice place and enjoy coming but my experience this time was absolutely horrendous. They need to have consistency.

It's the Wilcox. The place has a reputation for having the best food and service in town. Each time I've been in they have not disappointed whether it be just a quick trip in for a bar snack, Sunday brunch, or a dinner on Friday night. Everything I've had there has been awesome and well-presented. You definitely pay for what you get here, but it's perfect for a special occasion. Brunch and bar snacks on the other hand are very affordable.
