The renovation to the hotel made it difficult to find valet. Parking prices were outrageous. They overcharged both cards that was used! The card used for the two rooms were charged 600, 150, 120, and 300! The card used for parking was charged 278 dollars twice when it was only supposed to be two night parking for ONE vehicle ! A fun stressless weekend was very stressful when it was time to leave. Money has not been refunded almost 24 hours later.

Well, I had to change my review for this hotel. When I checked in, I was td the room with the double bed was 149 plus tax and the parking was an additional 37.99 plus tax or something pretty close to that. Well I ended up being charged over 241 dollars for the stay and was never given nor offered a receipt and being exhausted from traveling all day and sightseeing we just wanted to get settled in so we didn't think to ask either. The hotel started trying to charge my card for various other things at 3 am. Thankfully, my card declined the charges that I didn't authorize to my card that night and also the night after we checked out. I will be calling them when they are open to find out about the charges but since the charges were denied i doubt they'll do anything. We also noticed that our room didn't have the same amenities that my friend had who was staying across the hall. She had a robe, we didn't, she got little bottles of lavender essential oil we didn't and we paid same price. There is a refrigerator in the room but it is hidden in the dresser thing in the room they didn't tell us but we didn't ask either.

Location is very convenient as it is walking distance to the Quarter as well as other attractions, and there is a street car stop right outside the mall entrance to reach attractions further out. Upon first glance, the interior is quite nice until you get to your room and see the minor flaws that accompany a hotel in this price range such as dirt or rust stains in the carpet, a couple stains on the comforter, etc. Overall, for the price I was fairly satisfied with things as the room was clean and well laid out....until I went to use the business center. First off, I've never encountered a business center in a hotel that you had to pay to use. Then, after having paid $7 (for the first 10 minutes of use on the computer before you even start printing) I was not able to print because the printer would not connect to the network. There were other sheets of paper by the printer where others had tried unsuccessfully to print. There was a phone in there to call tech support, but it did not connect to anyone. I called the front desk on my cell phone and the young lady said she would call someone to come up there. After waiting 10 minutes, we went to the front desk and the young lady (Charielle Steele) was very helpful and printed our boarding passes for us. Would I stay there again? Because my expectations are kind of low for them, I may strictly because of the location, but I would look for others first.

Had issues with valet. They tried to rectify it. Took my whole morning, though. Had issues with restitution at the front desk. Found out that the comped breakfast that was given to me for my inconvenience is given to everyone. Go figure.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Westin while I was in town for a conference. I found it very convenient to the French Quarter. It was also very easy to access many of the attractions nearby. I found the staff very helpful, and the rates were very reasonable.

Although our time spent at this hotel was during the peak of the pandemic, there were still some areas that were sorely overlooked. For starters, at check in our reservation was booked on the incorrect date. Then after solving that dilemma, we arrived at our room to find a soiled towel on the floor in the entrance. We were switched immediately. However, the next night we had the unfortunate situation of our room not being cleaned after having been gone for at least 17 of the 24 hours in one day. I would have been sympathetic in this situation if we had been told perhaps that the cleaning staff was operating on a different schedule due to Covid 19 concerns. But nothing was communicated at any time. We called down to the main desk/concierge to try and get fresh towels.....no answer! We were fortunate to have a security guard that was on duty not only answer the call, but also gather some towels for us as well. He has been the brightest spot in this whole experience due to him far exceeding expectations. You would think on a week night (May 21st 2020) that someone would be available to answer a call from a staying paying customer. I'd be more than happy to revisit this review and tell a different story if my remaining time yields better quality of service. Right now though.....EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!

My husband has a conference at the Westin, so we booked a king bed room through the Westin three months in advance. When we arrived they told us they had no more king beds available. Apparently it is their policy to allow more people to book king beds than they actually have available, and they give them on a first come first serve bases. Since we arrived later, we had to have a room with two double beds. They claimed it was an upgraded double, but we couldn't see anything special about it.
In the morning, no water came out of the shower, and only cold water came out of the sink. I was very unhappy that I could not shower. When I complained, I was told that three floors did not have hot water that morning and that they frequently had low water pressure. Everyone who worked at the hotel acted as though this was normal. I cannot understand why they have not fix this problem.
We were able to move to a room with a king bed and working water for our second night. The staff was friendly and the location is good. That is the only reason I'm giving The Westin two stars. Spare yourself and stay somewhere else downtown.

Great stay. The location was perfect! Beautiful views of the river and the city. Right in front of the casino and in walking distance of Bourbon St and the French Market! The rooms were spacious and extremely clean. Was looking forward to the rooftop pool and was disappointed when I found out it was closed. But I'll definitely stay here again

Greatest view in New Orleans. My room had some issues though. Some of the furniture was missing. The desk chair looked like a portable from their catering department. Only 1 elevator was working that brings you to the main lobby.

I just had my son s Bar Mitzvah party at the Westin and they did a great job. The staff was excellent and Kaitlyn Lambert went over and beyond to help me with every detail to ensure my event was a huge success! The room is great and the view is stunning! Highly recommend it!

The rooms could be updated, but after realizing that our room didn't have a microwave and mentioning it on the Wi-Fi review we came back to our room to find a microwave within less than 10 hours later when we returned to our room for the day!

I called twice before our arrival to confirm reservation and room type. I was told both times our reservation was as I asked. On arrival, our room was not available nor was it anywhere close to what I had previously confirmed. There happened to be a different room available, which we graciously accepted. The AC did not work and it leaked all over the floor. Took 2 days for someone from maintenance to check it out, and another day to fix. They did nothing to adjust our bill which was over $1500 for 5 nights. We were there for a convention. On another note, we felt the concierge was informative but then felt deceived. We were sent all over the French Quarter to several restaurants and events that seemed cheap and dirty. We asked for upscale dining. We found a restaurant across from Haarahs that was upscale. When asked why he never recommended it, He stated he didnt have anything to do with that place. Beware of this shady concierge! And this hotel!

I m a very frequent traveler and this is not to the standard of any Westin or Marriott hotel I have ever stayed in. I have major regret staying here considering the price of the rooms.

1. Gym closed (no notice of this) and we have to use a gym in the attached mall that looks like it s from the 1980s. As a traveler I like the option of 24hr gyms.

2. Keys deactivated twice! Both keys to our room deactivated at the same time twice.

3. Missing items from room (toiletries, do not disturb).

4. Construction noise (I know this can t be helped) but if you want to sleep in, it s hard with all the noise.

5. They closed off 3 of the 4 elevators one day. We took the fire stairs down after waiting 20 minutes and still unable to get into an elevator. They didn t notify guests of this.

6. Lack of security. There were incidents of non guests on floors yelling and kicking at doors. This happened on our floor and on another family members floor.

7. We saw the hotel manager give an alcoholic drink to front staff. I felt at times the service from the front desk staff was subpar. This may explain why.

The rooms were overall nice and they give free bottled water but I felt the staff here dropped the ball on so many little things that add to the overall experience. I would not recommend staying at this particular Westin.

The hotel is fabulous. Staff is helpful & courteous. Room was spacious & comfortable. Shower was amazing. Starbucks coffee in the lobby every morning & hit chocolate during the day. Bed was comfortable & pillows were great.

There is NO pool. We were misled about amenities. rooms were poorly decorated. Beds poorly made. Bad pillows. Obviously bad and spotty remodel paint job. Bad service. Will never stay here again. Even the staff commented that the franchisee doesn t care about making guests happy.

The hotel staff, service and decor is excellent. I can't say enough about how nice and helpful everyone who works there is. However, the actual rooms are lacking. They are dated, dirty and basic. For a 4 star hotel, the rooms need to be much more than what they are.

Dropped my daughter off at LSU and decided to stay at the hotel with my wife and 2 other kids in NO for the the night. After coming up an elevator from the garage and turning the corner I approached a desk and asked, Is this where I check in? The response was from the employee was, Is it? Then I was assigned a room with an obstructed view!!!

Great service. The front desk associate was very nice. The hotel is following safety guidelines, I felt comfortable checking in. The hotel it self is beautiful the rooms are spacious and with nice big windows.

Convenient location. It's what you expect from a Westin. We parked at the mall that's in the same bldg as the hotel, instead of valet. Drive up the long circular ramp all the way to 7th floor. Lobby is on 11th floor. Would be helpful if hotel description would provide more instruction and specify the charges. Hotel is on the edge of the French Qtr which I prefer. Not as noisy or crowded as other hotels that are in the French Qtr. Would come back again.

After reading the reviews here, I was expecting an awful hotel. It s not that bad after all. The building is a little old and the rooms could do well with some overall repair, but it s decent and fair for the price. Would stay again.

EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!! The management is horrible and the employees are even worst. I reserved a room for Fourth of July weekend but called to cancel 2 week in advance ad they never got I touch with me and ignored me for 2 weeks and charged my account and left it in the negative for a week causing major problems and they don't care. Terrible customer service I'd never stay here !

The absolute worst hotel in N.O. Do not waste your time booking a stay there. They overbook their rooms. You show up and they actually tell you they overbooked and send you to a Sheraton in Metairie. Fyi, room was reserved/booked a month in advance.

Overall it was a nice stay. Definitely very business oriented. I thought the layout was a little odd with the lobby being on floor 11. The gym was s really good size with plenty of machines. The room had a great view of the river. I also really enjoyed the lavender oil that was in the room. Good walking distance to the French quarter and the warehouse district.

This hotel is getting pretty old and is above a mall. I was there for business purposes with meetings in my room and it was very frustrating experience. First off, you need a card to access their broke down elevator system. First day I was there I ran into people who had it break down between floors. It never stopped for me but it always felt like it was going to. Rough to say the least. Also, if your guest isn't staying in the hotel they can't get up to your floor. For security reasons, this is nice. For business I wish they had told me upfront. Catering was good. View was great. Overall it was a big headache and not worth it for me though. Rooms were a bit outdated too.

I thought all Westin hotels had the "heavenly" bed, that one, not so much. That was the only reason I stayed there. I was hoping to get a goodnight sleep the night before a long day of testing. Didn't happen.

It was beautiful here. People were very friendly and helpful. The room was a very large corner room with a spectacular view of the canal. I definitely suggest getting a room on the higher floors .

The shopping on the lower floors were wonderful as well.

I will definitely stay here again when I am in town.

Overall a decent hotel. However, after my stay at the hotel, I noticed they had charged me a parking fee. I knew this was in error since I did not have any association with a car during my trip. As directed by the concierge, I left the accounting department a clear message and number to call back to reverse the transaction. I never received a call back and was forced to dispute the transaction. Now I wonder if the charge was in human error, or a hotel staff is taking advantage of the customer's credit card in fraud. Either way, no call back from the hotel is very unprofessional.

Horrible customer service. Called in room dining to order breakfast. Wouldn't accept because I did not have hanging on my door. However, room didn't have order form. Also, cleaning did not clean. Gave soap and towels but did not take breakfast tray. Took cereal bowl but left entire tray with old coffee and old cream and fruit. Needs renovation. Rooms are plain and boring. Beds were just half a**** made.
