The hotel was great until we found a cockroach in our bed. We told the front desk and their response was "I am from Hawaii and those are everywhere". My husband pushed a little more saying that was not ok. The best they could do was give us a credit to the Starbucks in the hotel?!? Won't be staying there ever again

Really great about bringing us extra water bottles and room towels! However, they ran out of hot water for a few hours in the morning, which was really a downer and blocked up some of my group's plans. They also didn't keep stocking the pool towels after dark. The key cards are also VERY finicky-so so many issues with key cards not working!

Positives - It's an absolute gem of a property tucked away in a quiet corner of the Lake. Perfect destination to unwind, get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
It's a testament to the fact that there is so much more to Vegas than just the strip.
Great options to golf, canoe, soak in the sun by the pool.
On the negative side - dining options within the hotel were a little limited (maybe due to the fact that they run quiet a few seasonal restaurants).
The rooms were on the warmer side irrespective of the fact that the thermostat was set down to 67 F.

The Westin Las Vegas Hotel is a five star class act. From the moment you arrive in the front drive till checkout, the customer is treated absolutely wonderful by all of the staff. I would recommend staying there on your next visit to the city of lights.

This is my second stay at this hotel, shame on me for not learning the first time. I chose this location because this hotel didn't offer any gaming. From the outside, the hotel looks fine, nothing spectacular nor scary, just as what you would expect in Las Vegas. Check in was easy, the front desk person was very friendly. Room was fine, the first time I opted for a standard room and the second I chose the upgraded option. The upgraded option offers a "view", so I got a "view" of a roof top, but I guess that's still a "view". There's a resort fee charged to the room and I still don't know what their definition of a resort is. Perhaps it is the same as their definition of a "view". The pool is tiny compared to other Vegas resorts, and the resort fee does not cover for parking. I left my prescription glasses in my hotel room after checking out. That is no fault of the resort, however, when I realized this, I immediately called them to check. The front desk answered quickly and transferred to Lost and Found. The phone kept ringing and went to voicemail. I called back only to have the same treatment. I drove back to the hotel and asked them at the front desk. They tried to contact house keeping and no one on the other side of the radio answered. I had to wait for another 20 minutes before someone told me no one turned in anything. I really don't know what this "resort" offers better than their competitors.

Overall its a nice hotel...the reason for giving 3 star rating is because our room was too cold and we were unable to change the temp via thermostat, called front desk, got transferred to house keeping, was assured a portable heater will be sent to the room right away...but it never arrived.

I stayed in a king size 12th floor room with a view of the strip. Overall it was clean and comfortable, but with the Westin you're paying for the name and location. They skimped on the details and I could tell. The coffee was bad (expected), basic cable sucks but they sure advertise those movies you gotta pay for. My shower would fill up with water and the iron seemed like it had broke at some point and they just bent it back into shape. Again, clean and comfortable with a great location. But the little things count.

Great hotel to stay in. Not really on the strip but very close and very walkable to everything. Rooms are very nice and the view is awesome. Great view of the Linq ferris wheel. Had a squeaky bathroom door but maintenance came to fix it right away. Parking is not always full which is a great plus. I would recommend staying at this hotel.

Shower head was busted so I couldn't shower after a 6-day road trip. Needless to say, but the old wife left me over it and my pigeon, Harry, doesn't respect me anymore. Vegas is a trashy place...

Beautiful modern and inexpensive, then Las Vegas Westin does not fail to impress. Though you'll need an Uber or a lift to get to the strip without sweating through your clothes, the Westin makes your home-away-from-home very easy to enjoy.

For a building built nearly a half-century ago, the Westin features relatively modern restrooms and spacious rooms which can fit a double bed or king or queen bed very comfortably.

If you find yourself needing room service, the chicken and waffles is delicious and an excellent way to recover from an evening out on the town.

The easily accessible bar as well as little convenience store within the location ensures that if you need a quick pick-me-up or bag of chips you will not have to go far.

Nice and comfy hotel. In May was very cheap the price of the room. You can reach easily from there walking or by car many other hotels and casinos too or Walmart 5 minutes drive from Westin Hotel. Have AC all over and friendly people. Bar also nice and not over priced.

When I stayed the lobby was under construction, the hot water went out in the entire hotel one morning, and the fire alarms kept randomly going off one day. They did try to make up for it with a free breakfast buffet, but I was not impressed with the quality of food. I wouldn't stay here again.

I'm here for a five day training. There has been a consistent sewer smell in our meeting room. The staff has been friendly but Westin's administrators need to pony up the capital funds to fix the sewer lines under the building. I will avoid this location in the future.

We enjoyed our stay at the Westin. We used points to escape to LV for a night. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The location made walking everywhere easy. I loved coming back to our quiet hotel after popping into all the busy casinos and restaurants. Breakfast buffet was lovely.

Worst possible experience imaginable. It seriously could not get worse. I don't habe time to go into detail but my room wasn't ready even though I paid 100% up front. I waited at the bar for 2 hours and they said they would cover my tab for their mistake. Then they refused to cover my tab. Then they said I can't stay at the property and would have to contact t management for a refund. I'm here for business. I'm extremely shocked at the lack of professionalism and "hospitality"

Rolled in for a convention at Caesar's. Westin was close and had a reasonable rate. Was given a complimentary room upgrade die to booking issues. Amazingly comfortable beds and great amenities. Staff was super courteous and professional. Great stay I recommend.

The reason for this trip was to visit my sick grandma. I checked in on 12/16 and checked out 12/18.

Check-in:
I booked my room with a third party. Before the day of check-in, I made sure to call the hotel directly to confirm my notes, which were, (1) 2 bed request, (2) pet friendly room, and (3) near an elevator because of a bad knee. I made it clear I would need a 2 bed and the operator was very polite and said this would not be a problem upon check-in. The day of check-in, we arrived on-site around 6pm. We had one dog with us (cleaning fee of only 35$ per night). The front desk agent (Asian with long dark hair) was not very welcoming. She did not she inform me of the type of room I had. She did not inform me of what was being authorized on my credit card until I asked her. Also, she did not inform me of the pet policy. I m hoping the agent isn t like this on a daily basis!

Room:
After checking in, I was disappointed to see that the agent provided me with keys to a 1 king bed. I called the operator and expressed that I needed a 2 bed. After explaining myself and trying to get the operator to understand my stance, he placed me on hold multiple times and finally concluded with a response saying the the hotel does, in fact, have plenty of 2 beds available, however, it would be an extra charge 20$ per night. After our phone conversation, I decided to speak with a manager. I spoke with a gentleman named, Sean and I remember his name because of how understanding and how helpful he was. I expressed to him that I was not informed of anything upon check-in and now the front desk wants to charge me extra for 2 beds. After hearing me out, he change my room to a 2 bed with no charge and he also had me fill out their pet wavier, in which, the agent should have done in the very beginning. In the end, Sean asked if I needed any extra amenities for my room and I declined because he had done more than enough to turn this trip around from bad to pleasant for me! He also said, the agent might have not given me the correct room type because she did not see or read the notes and assured me that he would talk to the agent regardless. The Westin Hote is lucky to have this gentleman as the front desk manager, as he has mastered the meaning of Customer Service. The ONLY reason I did not give this hotel a 1 star is solely because of Sean s actions. This trip was not a vacation trip and it is the little things that can really make your stay worth while!

It is a 10 minute walk to the best attractions in Las Vegas, but it is located in a crowded or noisy place and seems like a hotel to stay at. The staff is friendly and there is also a cafe in the lobby. There is a 24-hour gas station and convenience store next door, and there are plenty of items for swimming and tanning, especially in the outdoor swimming pool. It was good to enjoy sunshine. However, since the rooms are five-star class, it is a bit old-fashioned, and the cleaners are friendly and maintain some level. I was very satisfied with the convenience of picking up my baggage at the lobby for a few days after traveling to another province.
Such a calm place to have a tight sleep even it is located in 10 min. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Las Vegas. Not bad room condition, nice mannered clerks, a gas station and a 24hour conv. store are in 2 min. Walking distance, 24hour Statbucks is on the lobby, and many more to list up. The most of all, the outdoor swimming pool is nice sunshine, a bar, and abundant swimming & suntanning supplies. They have baggage keeping service, so we could have a trip to the eastern part of the U.S.A., for a few days, then came back to this hotel, picked up our bags, then headed to the airport. Overall, we were quite satisfied with this hotel!

When I booked on booking it said that the free shuttle to the airport was available, instead there is no aisle. At the reception they told me that they would have made the lower price to me than the booking, instead at the moment of paying I received a receipt at 50% higher.

Disappointing, hotel is dated and smells old too. From the elevators, the hallways, room and even fitness center, has that old hotel smell and feel. The staff were very friendly but I will not be returning. I love Westin properties and unfortunately this one does not live up to the brand.
