It was a good hotel, the breakfast was great and the service good. But the carpet on the floors in the hallways and the rooms did make us uncomfortable. It was definitely from the 70s and when walking on bare feet made us feel gross. Other than that the beds where great! So comfy!

Great hotel, excellent service, unfortunately the pool is under renovation.

This hotel is not modern at all the bed and carpet look old. The first room we stayed in had a clogged tub, then we talked to the front desk and they gave us another room but when me and my friends got to the room it looked like a downgrade of what we first had and paid for plus it looked like someone stayed in it because the bed wasn t made, the bathroom had brown stains on the tile, and the sink had all sorts of stains on it. So we complained and they gave us another room again. This is the third time we had to relocate rooms ironically once again something was wrong the tv was on and it seemed as if the room wasn t cleaned because everything was unmade so me and my friends complained again and just decided to go back to the first room we were in because all the rooms they switched us to were just in horrible condition and mind you sleeping in that room was the worst because the bed sheets felt unclean and unsanitary and when we ask to speak to a manager they said they were no where to be found also one of there elevators didn t even work and the people at the front desk were not helpful what so ever. To conclude I do not recommend this hotel!

The Westin Fort Lauderdale is a great place to stay when you're traveling for business or for pleasure. The food was really good.

Well organized and easy to navigate to my conference. Friendly staff and clean furnishings.

Services are very poor. As a business traveler it is very important to receive folio receipt from hotels in order to receive reimbursement. This hotel is absolutely horrible about this basic business function. It has been several weeks that I have been asking for a copy of this basic business document, made several phone calls to the property and Starwood Preferred Guest hotline and still have not received the receipt. That is one example of bad service that ended up costing me several hundred dollars. If you have other options in the area, do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

I went to go and get another key because my key was deactivated the girl was super rude so was the manager Never again

Rooms are huge you can put four blow up beds inside along with there 2 queens

The Hotel was very accommodating. The staff was totally on point with service.

This hotel is located in the northern city limits of Fort Lauderdale. Not in downtown. It's location is definitely convenient if you have a car because it's off I-95. You can be downtown/Las Olas area in 15 minutes. Otherwise, there really isn't any conveniences nearby unless you have a car. In less then 10 minutes is a supermarket and other stores.

Check-in/out was fast and the staff around the hotel seemed nice. The hotel has been updated with modern decor, but not top of the line. It seems to cater to a business crowd during the week and a leisure/cruise clientele over the weekend. The elevators seemed slow at times but especially in the morning during check-out.

A nice convenience is the free Starbucks coffee and tea offered in the morning until 8:30. There's also free use of the business center and gym. I really enjoyed a nice "chill-out" under the gazebo by the pool. If you want some peace and quiet, sit there and gaze out over the water.

The room was one of the most comfortable ones I've visited in a while.

They were not properly staffed for the large group checking in, some guests were not able to check in until 7pm because their rooms were not ready. In addition the staff that's was there (though generally friendly) were not informed on what areas our group has access to or when materials that's were delivered to the hotel would be placed in guest rooms. Incredibly overpriced food, $12 for a 10oz smoothie to avoid a $25 per person breakfast buffet that looked like pretty average food selection. The restaurant and bars in walking distance didn't feel very safe, so we were glad for the complimentary shuttle service to take us to a nicer area for dinner, with had prices that would fit into our per diem.

Decent room and ameneties. Above average cleanliness, horrible almost unusable Wi-Fi service. Less than 100 kps. Good parking and easy access.

Worst service ever the room was not avilable till 5.pm and later on we where told pool has been closed due to construction.
Canceled the reservation took almost an hour to do that.
Would never check in this brand of hotel biggest mistake ever.

I ve been staying here for the past 4 days due to a trip for my job. My room has been exceptionally clean and every staff member I ve encountered is so nice! They forgot to pick up my breakfast slip from my door one day and I had to call and order my breakfast and because they made a small mistake, they gave me a complimentary breakfast then called to ensure it was what I wanted. GREAT SERVICE! Thank you, Westin at Fort Lauderdale, for making my trip away from home wonderful!

Went to have drinks with a client. The stag was very friendly, professional, and courteous. Everyone greeted me with genuine respect. The interior is very nicely decorated, lighting isn't overwhelmingly bright, and everything was very clean. Men's lobby bathroom stall was missing a mirror, but everything else was well-maintained.

Room was nice, desk staff was great. However housekeeping took a pair of shoes I just purchased that day, & didn t get a chance to wear. I got no reimbursement, no nothing. I spent over $200 on those shoes and they were gone when I came back to my room. Very disappointed no one could give me any answers on how my shoes disappeared.

Stayed for a night. Rooms are spacey and clean. Staff were friendly. No breakfast included. There is a pool and small gym located. Main downside is it's far from beach and downtown (about 20min drive) and they don't have any shuttles.

The hotel room was very clean and comfortable. Will stay here again when I travel for work.

The walls, doors and even the ceiling seemed paper thin. We could hear everything happening in the hallway and the rooms beside and above us all night long. The AC also didn't seem to work overnight as we both layed in bed sweating all night. The toilet tank refilled extremely loudly too.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, but a little disappointed by the unpreparedness of the staff concerning the hurricane Irma.

The bathrooms were clean. The place was nice. Ample parking

Went to a meeting at the hotel. It was pouring outside. The staff was helping people with umbrellas. Nice.

We got the executive suite, but were unable to check in before 4, so we had to downgrade rooms to get in.

We booked a suite - it was horrible. Stay away! Carpets were filthy and the furniture had so many stains I refused to sit in them. Service was middling and they didn t stick room basics like shampoo. Hotel is under construction which they don t tell you until you arrive and you get the joy of walking across plastic wrap in the hallways.

Pool area looks nice but you constantly hear the freeway, fitness center is tiny. Stay away from this dump.

Nice hotel convenient for business meetings as it is close to I-95

Didn't have the promised room, had to take substitute, towels and robe for only one, we were two, had to call for them, sink was clogged, came back late at night tired, key card did not work. Very noisy all night. Musty air in room.

Nice lobby and pool area with complimentary Starbucks coffee in the morning.

A little pricey and it seems you have to pay for everything even wifi on your bill

Average rooms and good service for a Westin hotel. The pool is surprising nice, but this place is a ways away from shopping, the beach and any good restaurants.

Room was small. The ac seemed weak. But the lobby is a beauty.

I was really disappointed in the service. The customer service was not as good as the Westin in Atlanta, which is was what led me to join the SPG program to begin with. I got there at 2:30pm and my accessible room wasn't ready, which is fine because check-in is at 4pm and they don't have to honor your early check-in request. They took our luggage and we waited in the lounge and had drinks and an early dinner. Everyone else got their rooms by 4pm, and after much questioning on our part, we finally got an accessible room by 4:45pm. The worse part is I prepaid for the room-only to get terrible service. Please respect all of your guests equally in the future.

We were there for a veteran meeting. The room was comfortable and well lit for presentations. The dinner was exceptional and the service was great. Perfect location to 95 and highway access.

Staff is great! No water for a day and a half, so AC is not working. We were trapped in elevator car 2, it ran up and down the building, but the door did not open. We pressed the call button, but no one answered.

parking lot was trashed every night. 15-20 hanging outside at night in the parking lot, playing loud music and trashing the place.. my girlfriend and I walked into the lobby after 3 nights of staying there and was told we are not welcome because they thought we where going to the pool area...said we need to have a room here to go to the pool area, we where walking to the elevator to go to our room...

Great hotel. Stayed here for a convention and the staff were amazing, accommodating, and made for a great time. Rooms are clean, up to date, and the pool is fantastic. Highly reccomend!

Stayed here for a month while my place was undergoing a remodel. Staff was attentive to details and friendly. I thought the rooms were a bit dated (especially the curtains and couch). I would recommend the Executuve Suite if you're staying for a longer period of time like I was otherwise the rooms are a bit small. The restuarant in the hotel was 5 stars and I highly recommend the NU Strip Steak, it is out of this world delisious!!

Went for a 1 day Workshop. The place was reasonably clean. The receptionists were pleasant. Didn't went sightseeing around the facility, so unable to tell more about this place.

First of all it was not brought to my attention that the pool was under construction, If I had knew , then I could of booked somewhere else. Also, the elevators move very slowly and after a long night out, coming back to the hotel to find out the elevators wasn't working. Instead of hotel management fixing the issue I had to walk up seven flight of stairs.

Beautiful hotel. Great location for what I wanted to do and where I needed to go. Right off the exit is a huge plus.

One of the poorest standards I've seen!!! The pictures on the homepage and on the booking sides are NOT showing how the hotel looks in reality.

The lobby is nice, the bar area too. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately that's all of the good things....
The pool is disgusting, leafs in the water and dirty in general. Birds dirt everywhere and the canal next to the pool was full of plastic things and green mucous.

The rooms as I said are totally different to the pictures you find online. The toilet flush wasn't working properly and the A/C was smelling stuffy.
The refrigerator was very loud wile cooling - I needed to de-plug it. Walls thin as paper which made it nearly impossible to find sleep.

To be fair the bath and the beds are really clean.

I'm really disappointed as the price per night is quite high. Happy that we only booked it for one night but even one was too much :-(

Easy to get to just off interstate exit room was very clean

This hotel needs better management! First, the food service staff are incompetent. I tried to order a piece of chocolate torte for my husband and a cappuccino for myself to enjoy in the lobby area. The fellow in the restaurants that told me to order at the bar in case he were to get busy. At the bar, the bartender was very busy! There was not a seat free and there were people standing in line to order. When I finally asked for the cake and cappuccino, I was told I had to order in the restaurant!

My second frustration has been the elevators. We are on the 8th floor. The service staff and the guests from all 15 floors are using just 3 elevators. Yesterday only 1 elevator worked! When you finally get in the elevator it stops at all the floors to pick people and drop them off going all the way up to the 15th floor before stopping at all the floors to pick people up on the way down to the lobby! The elevator takes forever to arrive and is jammed with people! Extremely frustrating!!!! I ve given up and now waking the 8 flights.

Third, the front desk staff only has one member that seems to have a clue about hospitality. The housekeeping staff has a much better sense of hospitality! They need to hire more front desk staff focussed on exceptional hospitality and service.

They were able to change our rooms after accidentally booking a room with not enough beds, but the cleaning service was rude, they knocked on the door three times before 9 to try and clean our room when we were supposed to check out at 1, and they waited at the door after 12 as though to hurry us up.

Amazing stay, elevator was down BUT beyond their control.

Good business class hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The do sill still have one crazy elevator that has a mond of its own and certain areas are showing some age. Nice gym with high quality workout gear.

With more than 400 college band kids walking around, it's pretty impressive that they kept the place running smoothly. One of the nicer hotels I've stayed in. Great amenities, so I can't complain about the steep prices for food at the restaurant downstairs. Free coffee, too. Not a ton of workspace in the room but the view is ridiculous - in a good way. Get a room that faces east and you can see the water.

This hotel needs some work in certain areas. Waiting on the elevator took forever. Everyone was nice and walking in the hotel had a great smell. The chair in my room was broke tilting to the side.

This place is hilariously bad. I ordered my meal in the restaurant and after 30 minutes I asked the hostess where my meal was and the answer was that they were busy and backed up at the bar and room service. Another 20 minutes goes by, and I ask for the manager so he goes to investigate the mystery of the missing Salmon. Apparently they sent my order up to room service. The manager comped the meal which I eventually received, but who wants to eat when angry? Damage was done. This place has no concept of service - really should not be that complicated.

This place may as well be a 2-Star Days Inn or a Holiday Inn. Awful.

Decent hotel. Bathtub faucet leaked. Room service is terrible, and they got my order wrong. Fitness room is not great, but good for the quality/price of hotel.

Clean. Very friendly & welcoming employees especially the Jamaican lady & the man who helped with putting my suitcase in the vehicle & held "MyPillow" until I checked out. Very convenient to Hwy 95

Beautiful hotel with friendly employees, but with a few minor issues. Overall I would recommend this hotel.
