Great hotel for anyone who is willing to drive a little more by car every day.
Business hotel

Bath was blocked. Reported to staff several times. No one did anything. Staff didn't seem to care at all.

Stay at the Westin Fort Lauderdale while working on a job in Pompano Beach. The hotel itself was beautiful. Only really saw it during the night as I got there well after 7 o'clock. Unfortunately I was doing construction work and didn't have time to check out the rest of the facilities but our room was nice the lobby was gorgeous. The staff were also professional polite and took care of things quickly.

Quiet hotel. Feels dated. Not a family place. Breakfast was sub par. I would rather have a continental breakfast at a holiday.

This place has gone downhill over the years. This is the first 2-star Westin that I know of. The place needs not only an overall new face lift but basic general maintenance needs to be performed daily (and it's not).

During my last stay I could not get the elevator to get me to my 12th floor room. Always stopped at the 11th floor. My lock on my door in my room was secured by 1 screw, very few of the power outlets worked, shower soap tray barely secured in the shower.... and this is a Westin! Marriott must of forgotten about this property.

Rooms were so spacious and comfortable. Could've been an ideal hotel if the pool area had available seating for more than 10 guests, if there was another option for dining nearby and if shuttle service to the airport was offered. Add another $35 in cab fees to get to the airport.

Just strayed for one night quick stop over on drive down to Miami as didn't want drive into rushour and was very impressed. The rooms have been recently renovated and on par with what you've come to expect in nice city centre westin, very nice! Also, the pool & exercise area very nice with hot tub and proper cushions on pool chairs, very comfy and surprisingly quite even though close to freeway. The hotel is very convenient right of the 95 one stop light, turn left and you're there enjoying the free parking : )

BTW for SPGers, as gold I was upgraded to junior suite = huge end room with nice sitting room

Horrible service. Our whole family had a flight from California. We were up all night on the flight and arrived in Florida in the morning due to time change. We arrived tired and ready for sleep at the hotel only to find that they had sold our room to other guests.

We had specifically called and paid for an extra night(this would be the night before we arrived) so that we would have a room when we got there. This was all verified with the hotel and staff over the phone to make sure it would be ok.

They had no open rooms and we had to sleep in our cars for 6 hours till we could move into our rooms for the day.

On top of selling our room and being completely sold out so they got all the money they could have they still charged us for the night. They told us we were a no show and our money would not be refunded.

I sent a complain t to costumer service through their website sight and got no response.

We contacted the credit card company and had they charges removed and 4 months later they are still trying to add the changes back.

Just Great! Good option for Business and vacation...

Customer service is excellent and the view is beautiful.

Check in line was pretty long. Restaurant was a bit pricey, but the food was great.

Attended a holiday party. Great time. Staff was friendly.

Hotel is nice but too many flaws when i stayed. Under construction/reno was not disclosed at rime of booking. No wifi for 48 hrs. Is pet friendly and too many dogs barking etc.

Exactly what you would expect from a westin. However, they were doing construction on EVERY floor. I'm sure that's more of a corporate planning issue. They did recover a lost item for me so they get 4 stars otherwise 2! Make sure you ask if they are doing construction!

There's not much to do in the area, though the staff are quite nice.

Mediocre experience. No hot water. Noisy. Lack of attention to detail.

My only complaint: check out time is 1100. 6 customers standing in line and only two associates to assist.

Rafael was great and was able to get us in before official check in time which helped us relax! They also offer a late check out which was super helpful! King bed suite on the 15th floor was lovely. They have all the amenities you need and a very accommodating staff. The shower and bathroom were impressive and we had a very comfortable bed as well. The pool and hot tub are nice as well. Great surprise via Hotwire.

So many reasons why you should never stay here. Looks great in the lobby, but it ends there. Whole place is outdated. Employees clearly didn't care about much, one even hid (unashamedly) in the elevator while texting the entire time. Was just riding from floor to floor with no destination. Shuttle service driver said 15 minutes for the next ride over to the Marriott. It was 1hr & 45 minutes, and three trips to the front desk to inquire of his whereabouts, where he was standing chatting with the receptionist (the same one who told me she would let him know I was waiting outside three times).
Also, no directions were given upon arrival to the Marriott, and I had to rely on the guests to tell me how to get to the pool. (4th floor, make a left and all the way down to the end?)
Another glaringly obvious negative was the seriously lacking room accommodations, and cleanliness. Stains on counter tops. Stains on the rugs. No mini fridges. A phone from the 80's. Coffee options were horrid. And damn was room service expensive, $20 for the smallest, one-person option. And cold by the time of arrival (also 45 minutes late).
Overall just don't waste your time or money here. Super disappointing.

WORST HOSPITALITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS FOR VENUE OF UPPER MANAGEMENT. Property is nice but much needed upgrades are in order. Musty smells, ac too warm and room keys difficult and inoperable.

They gave my room away but only for the first night so I have to come back for the second night. A call before I arrived would been courteous. I came from the airport only to go back to the other Westin near where I started. They had my cell phone. Call me and ask me. geez.

Great staff, fantasticl pool, comfortable rooms. Hotel manager, Dawn, is the best!!

Nice Hotel, friendly staff but they can use some work in making sure to keep their public facilities aka the restrooms a bit more tidy.

This is the absolute worst hotel i have ever stayed in. I could go on and on about the events happening from trying to extend our stay and extra only to drive hours and get there to find out they booked the extra day for the next week friday and not the friday of the weekend I already have the other 2 nights booked for. Not to mention the employee had a hickey on his neck and clipping his finger nails behind the counter while telling me this. I could go on and on but use my experience to educate yourself and pick anything over this terrible hotel!

Most of the staff is super friendly and kind however the cleanliness is very questionable. Gold confetti all over the floor, Jello shot on the floor from the previous guest and huge stains by each side of the bed. The sheets and restroom seemed to be clean so I did not report it at the time in hopes they would clean it the next day. I get in from work to find that the room was not cleaned. I had to call someone to bring me coffee as they also did not replace anything that I used. I pointed out to the person that brought up the coffee the confetti, stains, and jello shot and his answer was i dont have housekeeping right now. Not an apology or we'll take care of this tomorrow.
So far going down to the service desk to get missing items have become a regular thing. I have never experienced this with any other resorts or hotel.

Nice and friendly staff ! But I had to wait an hour after staff pre-checked me in before the room was ready.

Been on this hotel for 2 weeks and still have one more to go since my reservation was paid by my employer. The elevators barely work and have to use the service elevator several times because the main elevators have plenty issues, the overall service is not great, there is an option to avoid having your linens replace everyday as I'm trying to be a tad eco-friendly considering my length of stay, and room does not get service at all (trash, toilet paper,or coffee supplies) because of the door sign. If I want them to replenish these I have to remove the door sign otherwise they just keep on going. On Halloween there was such a bad power failure that all lights were blinking throughout the entire place and one of my bathroom lights even burned and stunk the whole room.

Great room. Love the free wifi and parking. Easy to get to and close to shopping and restaurants. On site restaurant pretty good as well. Just a short drive to the beach and loved the pool.

Rooms have been recently renovated and are nice. Restaurant is decent, but not great. Pool looked nice, but didn't use it. Location is a bit tucked away in a corporate business park.

If anything goes wrong, they are unwilling to do anything to help. The block had no water to do a water main breaking. This was out of their control, but rather than do anything hospitable or kind to ameliorate the situation, they simply More

The room was amazingly comfortable and relaxing. The bed slept like a dream. Had breakfast there and the food was very good. Enjoyed the scenery when in the pool and hot tub.

Outstanding from start to finish. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help so the stay will be enjoyable. Only 2 things to be aware of: don't try to check in before 4pm and there are no bathrobes in the rooms. 2 pretty small things but be aware.
Our room was great. We had a king deluxe with a super comfortable bed, bedding looked clean, large clean bathroom with a glorious showerand plenty of towels, big tv with lots of channels. We do room service when we go away and found the Westin more than up to snuff. The food was delicious and the women who delivered it were great. One order was forgotten and the woman went out of her way to insure we were more than happy in the end.
Employees have cheerful attitudes. The cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel is second to none. Right down to the hallways being kept clear and even the hallway lights had been dusted.
We tried to think of something that needs improvement but honestly, there was nothing during our trip. Anything we needed, we let staff know and they helped out. It was really that good. We will be sure to return for our next weekend away.

Great rooms and bar, breakfast is among the best I've had.

The room I was in was extremely cold the thermostat did not work told the staff several times and nothing was done.

I stay at the Westin frequently for work. I have never had a poor experience.

Nice staff the rooms are clean, my only concern was the pool it has black algae on the walls and on the floor

Hotel was excellent! My wife left her IPad in the room and they were very accommodating about finding it and reporting back to us that they would have it at the front desk upon our return. VERY PLEASED!

The place is very nice and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. I think they should improve the cleanliness in the windows, because they were very dirty. The food is good and the service is good.

Stayed here for month and a half and it felt like home.

Pretty sure only one elevator at a time was up. On my floor the arrows didn't even light up on top of then being surrounded by tape. Didn't look great. Stay was amazing, tho.

Ok so boom starting with the customer service...They were awesome keep it up guys!! Moving on to the room when we first entered we thought that it was splatters of blood on the carpet but it was the style of the carpet.The room was overall average we were expecting a little more being that it was The Westin. I believe it was some strange activities going on but hey thats none of my business :) My overall stay was good but could've been better only stayed due to location.

Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was nice too.

Victor at the front desk was not very smart. Messed up our reservation multiple times, gave us a regular room instead of the suite that we paid for. Then, to "fix" his mistake, he offers to give us the room connected to ours as well..two rooms for the price of one. Score! Not so fast..the dumbass charges us for BOTH ROOMS! We were charged almost $1,000 dollars for a two night stay in a musty damp room. No thank you. My family and I will be staying at the Sheraton across the street from now on. I know it's south Florida, but maybe keep the Spanish people cleaning the rooms and not playing at the front desk? Just a thought.

I attended a conference at the Weston Fort Lauderdale. The convention space was spacious and clean.

This place is disgusting. Hallways are filthy, stains all over the carpet and something all over the walls, I'm scared to look to closely. AC barely works, half the plugs in the room do not work and 11 pm I have to wait for maintenance because the keys do not work. DO NOT recommend.

From the first phone call I made to the Westin, to the moment I had to leave- the staff of this hotel were top notch. Rafael helped me check in early when I had to take an earlier flight, and made personally sure a room was ready for me when I arrived. I will admit I couldn't figure out how to use the shower, and a very kind maintenance man came to help! The next morning I found complimentary breakfast coupons under my door!

Monica at the restaurant took amazing care to be sure I was enjoying my meal and I received amazing service. Even when we booked a conference room for a meeting the staff were on top of it, Sandra and others made sure we had all the snacks and drinks we could need.

I enjoyed my room and thought the hotel's notes explaining the ongoing renovations were very thoughtful. I chose not to have turn down service and instead was left a lovely note from the staff and a healthy snack.

I had the chance to relax by the pool and even saw some local iguanas out to sun themselves! All in all this was a great stay highlighted by a great staff through and through.

Located right off I95 and Cypress Creek Blvd. It's clean, quiet and nice.

Hotel needs to be updated. Plugs in room some did not work. Had to wait 15 min for elevator as only 1 was working. Rooms were clean but hallways had diety dishes and glasses. Staff were very nice.

Nice/quiet stay. Friendly staff. The property is spacious and comfortable. Great amenities: pool area, gym. The breakfast was good and the atmosphere excellent. This was our second time there. We will return!

I was only there for a moment. It was very nice and the staff was friendly. Unidirectional parking lot was annoying.

Cool location with a lot of places nearby to eat. Pool was huge. Gym and other areas dated but love the comfortable beds at Westin.

It's a decent hotel. The elevators seem to take forever. I believe only 2 out of 3 of them are working. The tv in the room is way too small. The remote seldom works. The staff took a while to bring up the menus, which should've been in the room already. The food is alright. The staff doesn't seem too friendly. But I'm getting an employee discount, so I don't seem too concerned about getting excellent service for this hotel. I would probaby come back if I'm in the area. But not to pay full price for it.

Very friendly staff. Place has been updated but they still need to invest more into the property. TV to small for the very spacious rooms. Would stay here again.
