Slow, have many people standing around but only on...
Slow, have many people standing around but only one teller working.

Worst customer service ever. Almost never pick up third phone.
Got to the location at 5:58 to make a 3700$ cash deposit and the door was locked Jon the bank teller told me he couldn t open the door literally as I looked at my phone it turned six the doors were closed early!
The customer service here is awful. I've been a customer for 30 years and they still treat me like they are doing me a favor to take my money, waste my time, and charge me unreasonable fees.
Mediocre service. They are robots not humans, just like any other slave of the banking system.
I've had really poor experiences with bankers at this location regarding their lack of respect and courtesy. However, Francisco Natera was really supportive and inviting. Definitely refreshing!
Best Bank in NYC if you have money. I have 12 accounts here and bank throughout the US.
This morning I went into this branch to hopefully chat to a personal banker, after a short wait I was sent to speak to Christian S, she was very helpful, extremely professional and brought it her colleague, Matthew H to answer my queries. Mathew was also very good at his job, they both helped me and gave me perfect advise for both my business and personal banking. Both were brilliant. 5 stars!
This branch is conveniently located in SoHo and features a set of ATM's to quickly pull out some cash. If you need to see a teller there is usually a line although it moves fairly quickly.
Decent help when you can get it, but wait times of up to an hour to speak with a banker
Very long lines, they come to ask you if they can help won t open more tellers while there are only 2 tellers working and 5-8 people waiting on line.
But me teller was nice when I got there.
Called to make an appointment with the notary for the afternoon and they told me no problem since two would be on staff until 6. Showed up at my scheduled time and they told me only one was working and wouldn't be available for another 15 minutes. Absolute lack of courtesy in honoring appointments and did not care that they would have been seeing me 25 minutes after my schedule appointment. I left.
Nice enough bank branch, cheery staff and free lollipops. Wouldn't trust them with my own money but luckily I don't really have any.
*edit* entrance with atms stinks of body odor. Grim.
The place always smells like terrible body odor but it's the only branch open when I get off work.
I always have a positive Wells Fargo experience whenever I go to this location.
Specialists and consultants work here. The only negative is the waiting time. I stood in line for 45 minutes.
One of the best banks I have ever been to in New York City. They make me love banking. Really, the service is exceptional.
I have waited in excess of 40 minutes each time I visit to get service by a banking professional. Today, I am already waited 30
minutes and the AC is out. The sales assosiciate has the aduacity to have the single stand alone AC blower on herself rather than on the waiting customers. Unbelievable.
The worst store I have been in. I wanted questions answered on my account, and wouldn't answer them proper I.D. I HAVE MY PICTURE ON MY WELLS FARGO DEBIT CARD AS WELL AS MY BOFA CARDS. Wasn't "acceptable". As I was leaving, asker for the manager; the one who gave me a hard time was the "acting manager". Furious is putting it rather mildly.
This bank is a BIG joke. There are no branch locations in Brooklyn, and I find myself having to travel long distances to get to a branch. RIDICULOUS; make more branches. Secondly, filing a dispute with this bank is useless. I get investigations may take a few days, but a provisional credit should be given until the investigation is concluded. And my claim was denied, when in actuality it was unauthorized! I mean this bank is very low budget, and don't protect its customers. Also, their reps appear to be very uneducated and incompetent. I've switched to a well established, professional financial institution, CHASE. Please don't bank with these clowns, they're good for nothing! Take notes from your competitors, e.g., Capital One, Citi Bank, and Chase.
I had really good service here. My teller even showed a genuine interest in my life! This is just the motivation I needed to hold off moving all my money to Charles Schwab for a few more months. . .
Wait time is CRAZY to speak with a banker. But they are very nice
Disgusting service !!
I ordered a debit card, I'm waiting for a MONTH !!! Through the fault of a bank employee who incorrectly copied the address from the sheet where I wrote the address ... in response to my claim ... I AM ABSOLUTELY NOT sorry .... said to wait another week or two !! Hams !!!
The worst banking experience ever, I closed my account without even using it.
I opened a Wells Fargo Checking account and wanted to set up a direct deposit with my employer. In order to set up my direct deposit, I had to have my Account number & routing number which I don't have, to get that I need to open online banking, in order to get online banking I need a PIN and I have never received my PIN or checks. I called customer service they said I will receive my PIN in 7 days by Mail and recommended me to go to the local branch for faster service. I went to the branch to get my PIN, they asked me to wait for 45 minutes. I asked for a branch manager, Mario showed up and said that he can't help me, it's a standard process I need to wait. At that point, I've reached the boiling point and closed the account. Useless bank, useless staff and useless manager.
I opened a new account in Chase and was able to use it in under 10 minutes.
They were very nice they have a good customer service team
Horrible service, closed my account. Empty bank and i had to wait for 20 min until one of the reps said "oh! somebody is waiting..." I am glad i don't have to deal with this bank any longer.
What a wonderful banking experience! Personnel were extremely friendly and personable without seeming disingenuous. I came in to order certified checks and was helped in a timely and effective manner by Gloria who was very sweet and communicative. Five stars!
Wells Fargo is one of the worst banks to bank with don t do it. Their customer service is some of the worst in the industry. Bank with a local FCU. the people aren t nearly as miserable and arrogant.
went to exchange a bill that had been mutilated by my dog. both serial numbers were visible and more than half the bill was still present. they refused to exchange it, using the excuse that i needed both serial numbers, which I showed them. Then they claimed too much of the bill was missing, when 3/4 of the bill was still present. it seems like this branch just picks and chooses subjectively, when it s a known fact that if at least 51% of your bill is intact and your serial numbers are still visible, the bank should have no problem exchanging your bill and submitting to the correct entity.
Welcoming and friendly staff! Very satisfied with quick and high quality service!
typically the appeal of going to a bank is that they have tellers. this key advantage of having a physical location is lost on wells fargo.
I always receive a warm greeting and most of the time my wait time is short.
The people working were helpful. The atm lobby smelled awful every time I went in.
This is my regular branch and I think they are professional and extremely helpful.
55 minutes wait to see a rep!!!! And you see them how they chat with each other in front of people waiting for them. No regards or decency for people's precious time. It smells like homeless people live there! Nasty place....should be closed by sanitation.
The brunch unable to print checks because printer doesn t work for a couple of days... Great excuse for bank.
I was at this location yesterday to send a wire. Not only was there a long wait, and not enough chairs in the sitting area, I did not have a positive customer experience.
When I get to sit down with someone to begin the wire transfer process, I'm informed about a wire transfer fee. I responded that I had sent a wire in excess of 2k about a month ago and was *not informed* regarding a fee at that time.
(Why am I sending another wire? It's for additional tax on stocks after sending my first wire to exercise some stock, and after I was provided the final calculation).
The woman simply looks up my account and turns the screen to face me, pointing out the fee I was previously charged that at no time in the previous transaction I was informed about. I ask if it's possible to waive the fee (my husband and I have been long-time customers with Wells Fargo (to my chagrin--I'd prefer Chase, especially after Wells Fargo's dreadful reputation regarding fraud over these past few years)). She says no. I responded calmly: well could you let me know how to close these accounts? She laughed in my face. Wow. Certainly a first for me, given that I was being completely calm through the whole process.
The funny thing is, while waiting in the Wells Fargo I had a text conversation with a friend about how belonging to a credit union for primary banking would be better. Additionally we (husband and I) are already customers with other banks so it wouldn't actually be that difficult to solely rely on other places. I responded: you (as representative of Wells Fargo) don't even have many locations in lower Manhattan, and you're surrounded by other banks. But sure, let's question whether I will change banks and go ahead and send this wire. By the end of the transaction she claimed to have left a note on my account for the wire fee to be waived, but could not guarantee that it would be. In all honesty, the $30 fee wasn't the problem: it was that it had not been disclosed the first time. Maybe Wells Fargo should start an employee reading club. I'd suggest they read: Regulation DD from the Federal Reserve.
Wells Fargo, this is not a good look. Not only are you absolutely *not* the big fish of banking in Lower Manhattan, you can't laugh in customer's faces because you don't take them seriously, not disclose fees at the time of transaction (when I had first gone to send a wire), and generally be unpleasant. What the heck? Your reputation is trash, you don't have strong presence and you carry on like this? I'm astounded. But, I guess it serves me right for using a bank like Wells Fargo.
This took place on Saturday, April 6th 2019.
I am an international businessman. I have opened a business account with Wells Fargo using my only Government ID the United States of America provided me with. Wells Fargo accepted my ID saying that it works just like a green card. BUT, when I go to withdraw money, they asked for 2 form of ID. If they need 2 forms of ID, why not ask for 2 forms of ID before opening the account.
Wells Fargo was very hungry to open my business account, then limiting me on using my account.
They didn t accept my United States of America Employment Authorization Card that I opened the account with. So I called Wells Fargo on the phone and they informed me that it is not their right to ask you for another form of ID since I m an international businessman and they will be calling the branch. In the mean while, the bank manager lady she was rushing to close and go home while I was there 1 hour before closing time, telling me that even if main of Wells Fargo called she will not allow it, making fun of me with her co-workers. I provided my social security, dates of transactions, date of opening the account etc. but she never listened or paid attention to me, she let me finish then shoot me again with 2 forms of ID while laughing.
How come a professional bank manager can make fun of clients? Is it because I look young and successful? Or is it because she doesn t know how to respect people?
Not just I couldn t withdraw money to handle and take care of my business. The lateness of paying the money had caused me 12% loss because Wells Fargo can t accept the ID I opened the account with.
I have filed a complaint for the unprofessional service and attitude, also I will be closing all of our accounts with Wells Fargo since the bank does not care enough about their clients.
I and my family been in business for over 35 years. No hesitation, I will be spreading the word of my experience yesterday, since the bank absolutely don t care. Plus I haven t mentioned the unauthorized transactions that has been taken from my account and receiving a letter from Wells Fargo apologizing that they took money from my account without my permission.
FOR BUSINESS OWNERS, RUN AWAY FROM WELLS FARGO. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BRANCH.
Good for only Chinese. I had questions about my closed accounts and the banker's first word was No. So impolite and i could recognize that she doesnt wanna help me out at all. Worst experience from Wells Fargo bank. The impolite and rude banker didnt even show smile when i was in front of her. But i saw it when she is with Chinese tourist customer. So sad customer service attitude. I wish there is a way to give them a half star
Once you get past the pan handlers on the street the service in the bank is fantastic
I visited this branch for the first time today. Adel, an associste, went above and beyond to help me out. The manager was also very kind to me. Definitely the best bank I've ever visited
Awesome, best teller, Jonathan . He is so very helpful, make transaction so smooth. Everyone is so helpful and friendly
I m soooo very disappointed with this branch I rushed to get in the freezing cold the website said that they were open until 7 but an agent was locking the door while there were at least 6 of us waiting to get in Not good at All!!!
SHAME ON YOU!!!
Because I have a friend who is
In the bank
Extremely poor customer service! One hour could not reach their call center. No intime response by their banker. Dissatisfied.
It had a great and smooth experience. Once I entered the bank a lady approached me and assisted me I had an appointment booked in advance at 3 and then diamond Jenkins approached me at 2.30 Pm and was so helpful and got my account opened in less than an hour. Amazing service and staff very smooth and helpful until you leave. Highly recommended.
As usual another stellar Wells Fargo experience... you need to schedule an appt to speak with a banker. They could have posted an alert about this on their website but low and behold they did not - of course!! Every time I need to interact with the bank in person it has been horrible. Given the options throughout this city, I have decided to close my accounts and move my business elsewhere. I have put up with subpar service for too long.
I just wanna say Thank You to Brandon Tong, Courtney Rol & Annabelle for going above & beyond in assisting me getting money to my X-Wife and 4 Children in Texas 15 minutes before closing on a Friday evening. Sincerely, Thank You Ladies & Brandon. Truly 5 STAR SERVICE.
I like the bank and the automated teller machines (A.T.M. s) are nice and plenty however when ever I want to speak to a banker it tends to be like an hour long wait or longer. Is there a shortage of bankers in this world? Perhaps we have too many astronauts and doctors and lawyers and architects
I LOVE WELLS FARGO BANK
REMINDS ME OF FARGO NORTH DAKOTA.
Good luck getting someone on the phone. Just like the 800 number USELESS!!!
I had to go to any Wells Fargo Bank, why there are no branches in all of Brooklyn is beyond me; I chose the worst branch to go to in all of NYC. Busiest branch in all of NYC and poor customer service.
They were very nice and had water bottles for customers. I appreciated that.
It is far way to downtown. We need one bank branch near the water street downtown.
Incompetent staff. They couldn't do what other Wells Fargo branch in Newark does it in 5 minutes. And they don't care.
Never had a problem with this bank they are pretty awesome. ..been a part of this bank for a long time and never had any ish.
Amazing customer service, super friendly from many different branch employees... they remember you and go iut of tgeir way to resolve whatever you need.
- I've used WF Bank since 1978 in California as a 7 yr old. Still the BEST bank around :)
Excellent service, especially during Covid times. Fantastic tellers.
I went into this branch to pick up documentation for an upcoming move and I had the pleasure of working with Karen. She was so lovely and made the process super quick and easy - I was in and out in 10 minutes!
Wells Fargo is the worst. Predatory lenders. Avoid!
I was serviced kindly. Security guard was a moody person (my 1st time there) but he may have been in Covid Mode. I like this location all in all.
I would love to know what the manager of this location thinks is an acceptable wait time to see a teller actually is. Apparently he thinks an average of 15 minutes, often times longer is perfectly acceptable because that's been the wait times for as long as I can remember. I have never seen more than two tellers working at any given time. Often times there is a single teller waiting on a line stretched to the door. Consider taking the funds spent on the poor guy apologizing to the line about the wait time on getting another teller.
