I like contemporary art and this art museum is pretty cool. I will say that some of the art may be a bit too "modern" for me because it looked like my 5-year old can do it or I would ask myself "that took no time at all!" However, I did enjoy most of the art, overall.

There is a lot of Disneyland focused attractions at the end. The original Carrollwood train and minitures that started the Disneyland process are presented in a very coherent way and really ties in thought process that Disney had. I spent 3 hours here but didn't have time to read through everything or spend as much time as I would like in the later half of the museum.

This is one of the great place I've ever been to. As I can remember now, this is the place where my dad used to take me on a vacation time when I was a little kid. Especially when we go for a Cali road trip. I've many memories with this place and I felt great to go again after a long time but this time without my dad and heavy heart. Definitely a great place if you are in SF tour.

This place had such a deep explanation on Walt s childhood and history that is definitely worth exploring. It is so chock full on exhibits that if you looked as carefully as I did I am sure you could spend a few visits here and not see everything. It s excellent for a Disney fan or someone who needs a little inspiration.

Very nice museum. It's extremely well made. It's interactive, fun, and beautiful (you can see the cash is flowing). There is a lot of reading, so it's probably not as fun for kids. The model of Disneyland is great. Of course, it's made by Disney's family, so you won't find any controversial point of view on Walt Disney's life (read the wikipedia page). It might be lacking a bit of balance. But after all, isn't Disney about fairy tales?

I could spend all day in this museum, as I'm sure any Disney fan could. There is so much history here, from oscars to the original Disneyland diorama, it is hard to pick a favorite. Every part of the museum is a living treasure, and on my list of must-do's in SF

Lots of parking! Easy access. My family had a great time going through this museum. We spent about 4+ non-rushed hours. It was fun learning about the Disney family history. They had a lot of constant business struggles over the years the early years, but their faith in family and friends saw them through the rough patches. The museum does a great job of chronicling that history and the importance of FAMILY to the early Dinsney's. There is also a cafe type restaurant available at the end of the tour.

A history museum dedicated to the life of Walt Disney. Family photos, drawings, film equipment, and models tell his story. There are a few hands on interactives but overall the content is communicated through video and text. There is a parking lot across the street for paid parking, a full weekend day costs 8.50. Didn t eat at the cafe but it looked pled reasonable priced.

Loved the Museum and it is worth it to go the Mickey Mouse Museum. The cafe however was not worth it. We got an Arnold Palmer and it was not drinkable. Also we shared a a grilled cheese and it had tomato on it the looked like it was regurgitated into our sandwich. When in the Museum take your time and you will find some really beautiful things.

Revolving exhibits in the 2nd building. Amazing views of the Golden Gate bridge. Huge line when they first open, but never really packed. A lot of amazing artifacts from Walt's life. The gift shop is awesome.

This place is a must see if your a Walt Disney fan. Gives you a great perspective on his entire life birth to death. Price is a bit expensive $25 but a nice piece of history and some interactive stations to listen to and do... Not for small kids under 8 i don't think would really care for it. Took about 2hrs of slowly moving through. There is a Cafe there that smelled good we did not eat there.. Free street parking for 2hrs right in front.

As a grown child who grew up loving Disney cartoons and movies, I had a wonderful time! Lots of wonderful information, interviews with those who were there working with Walt, behind the scenes exposed! It was wonderful. However, not a whole lot for kids to do...

I definitely would give it a five for content, but a two for everything else. I was expecting an interactive, fun disney-like museum, but instead I got a boring reading museum. The museum is pretty dark, lacking color in it (which I would expect from a DISNEY museum) Overall, it was an alright experience, despite the fact that my ten year old daughter didn t enjoy the museum as there weren t any kid-friendly activities.

Disney without the tensil as seen by family. Intimate memorabilia of W Disney. His 6" gauge garden train is on display as well as concept model for Disney Land. Very touching cartoon tributes to his passing.

I can't believe I lived in the city for almost 12 years without having ever gone to this place. As someone who loves going to Disneyland and grew up loving so many Disney movies this was a really fun way to spend an entire day although some of my friends were bored within a couple hours.

Super cool! So many great things to see! Very cool to see the evolution of the Walt Disney characters, and the way the animation evolved over the years! Some really cool pencil sketches of popular characters! The posters for different movies were great too!

We were very happy with our visit to the Walt Disney Family Museum. The main exhibit was great - learning about Walt's life was very interesting.

I especially loved the Disneyland section - something near and dear to me.

It took us about 3 hours to finish the main exhibition. The staff was very nice and the location is great - right in the beautiful presidio.

Pretty informative. It includes how they filmed the animations back in the days. The miniature of the old Disneyland was incredible. I was there just in time for the 4:30 talk. Didn't have time to see the special exhibition and movie. Would have to come again!

I have been wanting to visit this museum for a long time and it is actually better than I anticipated. Seeing the Academy Award trophy with the large Oscar and seven smaller oscars was awesome. The whole museum is wheelchair friendly and easy to walk around for all ages. There are lifts and ramps to get you up and down each level and you are free to take as many photos as you like. The cafe which is in the foyer has a a nice range of food available. You can purchase sandwiches, salads, soups; coffee and drinks. They even had very cute and delicious Mickey Mouse shaped macaroons. The gift store is located in the foyer and has a beautiful arrange of books, pins, mugs, shirts, hoodies and so much more exclusive products you can only purchase at the museum.

Wow, this place blew me away. They have done an amazing job with this museum, I only wish I had more time to spend in it. This museum is definitely designed for adults, though teens and older children will have fun. The detail and storylines they have throughout really engage you. Favorite part though was the miniature Disneyland model that they built before the park.

This place is so much deeper than I thought. You can take as much or as little as you want from here. I went with my 8 year old and she loved every room. There is so much family history, general history, connections and information! It's hard to take it all in - you really need to spend a few hours here. There are some wonderful interactive things and although it's not specifically a museum for children, they have designed it in such a way that children are able to absorb a lot of the history and movie making process.

It s not really a museum for kids at all. For adults that love Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse it could be okay for an hour or so. For kids it could be okay if they are older than 10 years of age. For younger ones I would avoid this place because the staff is not friendly and don t like kids it seems. They are extremely on their toes and are constantly breathing down your neck. Don t think this museum is for kids... so not worth the money.

A wonderful Museum that takes you through the entire life of Walt Disney. There are multiple artifacts and displays including a large replica of Disneyland Walt's Train The Lily Bell is also on display. If you take the time to read the material along the way you get a very accurate picture of Walt's life and his major accomplishments. I found at the end I was much more knowledgeable about Disney and what he did to become such a cultural icon in our country. Excellent job did the Disney and imagineering folks who put this together.

This is a fun place to visit if you have visitors. There's a good amount of things you can see in the museum without having to pay the ticket price. You can access the store without having a paid ticket, but the prices are pretty high. There's also a small cafe attached. One of my favorite things to see there is Walt Disney's Oscars from Snow White and Seven Dwarfs.

Must-do for any Disney history fan. The layout is fantastic and there's so much to see - one day is not enough. The rotating exhibits are fun too. Keep in mind that this is a museum, not a Disney park - there may not be enough to keep young kids engaged.

If you are interested in the family history around Walt Disney, you have come to the right place. The stories of his ancestors, him and his brother Roy as well as the creation of Disney Bros Studios and drawings by Walt Disney are told here. It could have been a little more interactive.

well having grown up with Disney employees, the fellow who said,' not up to Disney standards'... does not realize that EISNER changed it all. It/current Disney, is not the old Disney that us old folks knew. It was more of a family business and I am sure the Museum is all it should be. It is not glam glam, it is REAL!!! Remember, Walt started it all, in so many ways...he is a hero, an Icon and an American treasure!!! It aint Disneyland, it is real and family!!!

Amazing place and truly a museum so it's for adults not children. I look forward to going back and seeing everything... if you live Disney and history then this is the place for you... very very detailed collections of Walt's life.

I ve been to my fair share of Disney places... Disneyland, Disney World... but I was still blown away with this place. I learned more about Walt and his family than I ever knew before. It was also cool to see the very first drawing of Mickey and Minnie EVER!
