Wayne Public Library

the research librarians have always been really helpful, and I love the children's books section. Also, they have programs for very little toddlers (under two) which is great. The Friends of the Library room is full of inexpensive treasures!

I'll preface this with the fact that I have worked as a librarian for almost 10 years. Prior to that I worked in a book store for 5 years. Sometimes a few bad seeds ruin a otherwise good environment but I suspect this is not the case here. I've seen good customer service and bad customer service and what I have experienced at WPL is unacceptable. My review: The customer service here makes the DMV look like Disney World. The staff, particularly the circulation department is tremendously unfriendly. Most times they do not greet you and are not courteous. They have refused to put books on hold for me when I forgot my library card and was coming right back with it because I am not a Wayne resident. I have been coming here for years and have had nothing but bad experiences. I've made request with Reference over the phone and had someone laugh (cackle?) a refusal to help. They use the rules as ways to avoid offering help. I've never experienced services so consistently bad like this anywhere. You feel like you are inconveniencing them when you go to check out your books. They are rigid, unhelpful and rude. They give librarians and libraries a bad name. Other libraries in Passaic County are great but this is the one to avoid.

I'm so happy because the Library is open on Sunday and I never get a chance to go to the Libary because I have a job and i go to work everyday Monday thru Saturday and next Sunday I will go to the Library and do my homework.

By far one of the best libraries in the area! It has many different sections.. quite section, private/study rooms, children area, adult area, anything u want in a library.. this place has it.

This is a lovely library. There is plenty of room to work, or browse, or read. The fact that they are even open is very much appreciated, as are all of the many precautions they are taking to keep the library as safe as possible right now. The entire staff should be proud.

The best library in Passaic County!! Resourceful, Beautiful, Packed with books, videos, manuals, CDs, language learning resources and computers. :)

I don't see what more you could ask for in a town library. There are plenty of computers. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. They have events throughout the year. And most importantly, as a library FIRST, I have always found the book I wanted. Most of the time with the staffs help.

Absolutely love Wayne Library. It's the perfect environment to either study or just get work done; it's quiet, the wifi is great, and the library offers different seating areas whether that be standard tables, private study rooms, comfy couches, or cubicle-like units. It also offers a wide selection of books and other resources. Love this library!
