Very hospitable staff and it seems like an aging hotel. The hospitality is good with age old people that is lovely for old guests but then the quality of furnishings shud improve for Superior and Luxury rooms and not just for Clubs and Suites .
Machan needs a redecor and I found the servers too artificial in their greets

Had buffet lunch. Provides authentic dishes from around the world - continental, Italian, Chinese but the number of dishes was less though has very good variety in salads.

Mid Night coffee with family at Machaan was amezing as always

We went there to avail the pool service as the pool for our hotel (taj ambassador) was under renovation. The lobby was great... The pool was good too but the water could have been cleaner. The changing and shower facilities were good.

Rooms are luxurious and top of the line. All this come at a good price.

Super nice place for stay. One of the aldest hotels in Delhi, very nice garden with pool. One of the best lounge on top level ever seen, renovated just recentl. Recomend for bus. meetings, they have separate rooms and of course very good for corporate events. Staff is super nice and kind. Has several restourants with onenof the best meniu.

Nice Hotel well situated in the central Delhi great road connecting with major attracting places like INDIA GATE , RAJIV CHONK are just few km away from the location . Good ambience with quality of service is great.

Hotel is situated in heart of Delhi and close to power centre of India. Normally some VIP will be visiting this place & the day we went there for lunch Argentina president was visiting here for some purpose. Food wise they have good option & quantity wise providing bit smaller portions comoare to price they are charging for food but at last it is a five star so we have to keep price out of mind while ordering anything else will not be able to order any thing as even tea will cost you more than 500 rs.
Also please find little history as found on web regarding Taj hotels In 1970s, the Taj Group began its business in metropolitan hotels, opening the five-star deluxe hotel, Taj Coromandel in Chennai, in 1974, acquiring an equity interest and operating contract for the Taj President, a business hotel in Mumbai, in 1977, and also opening the Taj Mahal Hotel in Delhi in 1978.

I went there last year, firstly it's taj so you can't expect less. it's just grand. and beautiful. loved the palace like atmosphere here. The rooms are very beautiful with great views and very damn comfortable. Food, yes the food were delicious. my favorite hotel from the area i guess.
