Lovely & quite large park with 6 tennis courts, ornamental lakes, & a recently installed boules pitch. Lauderdale house has a cafe & sometimes hosts exhibitions. Fine views over London from the upper paths & generally a tranquil oasis in north London. Nearest tube Archway & either walk up Highgate hill about 15 mins or take bus 210 or 271 up the hill.

A beautiful park which is both peaceful and tranquil.
It is located just off Highgate making it a secluded spot which makes it perfect for anyone who is looking to have some personal space to gather their thoughts.
One of London's hidden gems - nicely laid out and something for everyone from dog walkers to kids to picnickers to those visiting the arts events at Lauderdale House. Highgate Cemetery is next door and well worth a visit to see the graves of famous people from Karl Marx to Douglas Adams
Hoping to have an art exhibition in the wonderful gallery space at Lauderdale House, Waterlow Park in summer 2021! It also has a great cafe with outside - aswell as inside - seating. The park has 2 ponds, children's park and tennis courts. A bit of a steep hill to walk up to Lauderdale House and up to Highgate Shopping area. But can catch the 210 bus from near Archway up to Lauderdale House and the park if you can't manage the steep hill!
I walk everyday through Waterlow Park, and everyday it s different. The light, the trees, the flowers. It s beautiful and there s a spot in which you can see the whole city
I grew up in the Whittington hospital and this park for me has so many childhood memories. It was the very first park I visited with my mum, dad and brother and playtime here was always so much fun. Fast forwarding 30+ years and I still visit on a regular bases and each time I do, fond memories come rushing through my head. The park itself is beautiful with lots of greenery to explore, a lot of seating areas to rest, has a children's play area and various sporting areas such as a tennis court and nice ponds where you will find lots of ducks swimming. It's quite a big park with a few mini garden areas but not hard to get lost as you will always find many routes which lead you back to where you remember. My favourite time to visit is in the evening just after sunset because it's just a gorgeous view of everything and will give you that peaceful relaxing sensation of joy.
A very attractive London Park and Lauderdale house is lovely. However the playground is not the best, there is little equipment and it's a bit boring but it's a great place to read a book and relax or have a picnic.
One of the least known beautiful tranquil parks in North London. A 11 hectare Park in the SE of Highgate. It's splendid here. A peaceful place for a walk and relaxation. The nearest underground is Archway and upper Holloway. The Highgate More
A nice city park with plenty of open space, trees and gardens. Be a little aware though that Highgate is on a fairly steep hill and much of this park is on different levels, so wheelchair users might find it hard going and the very elderly might have to take the routes gently.
Very pretty green spot, never seems to get too crowded so a good place to lounge on summer days. There's a cafeteria here also, though I think the food & drinks are a bit pricey so best to bring your own
Always a lovely park. An open space for kids to ride bikes or play ball and a quieter back space between the trees and squirrels. Good cafe and a playground to keep the kids entertained
One of my favourite parks - compact yet interesting. Good for some hill running, ponds, kids play area, tennis courts, good views of London and has good coffee shops and pubs nearby in Highgate.
Really nice park with some lovely period landmarks and other features. Quite hilly though (I guess it would be, considering where it is), so not a great place for a relaxing walk, more a stomp up some stairs... Great views though
Always keen to go for walks here as much as possible. The park is well maintained quite relaxed. Lots of parks benches dedicated to people from the area and people who also enjoyed the park. Lauderdale House is also in the park and recently saw some jazz by Camden Music Hub held there. The Duke's Head across the road is always a great place to visit after a stroll in the park!
A small park, but not without the space to play, to have a picnic, or to sit on the shore of the small lake inside. When the weather is fine, it is a pleasure to sit on the many benches that are there to find some relaxation.
I don't visit Waterlow Park as much as I should. The last time must have been at least eighteen months ago. It's not particularly large but it *is* interesting and picturesque... which, I guess, is what parks should be!
