Loved this place! We got the best table in the house for the views of the bay bridge, the service was excellent and the food (including presentation) was amazing! We went there for happy hour and were so pleased with the prices and selection they had available.
Great ocean view. Nice to hangout with your friends and enjoy their lobster roll. Yummy! I would recommend. A bit expensive though.
The restaurant is very expensive and we wanted to change the table and the lady saw us ugly, she didn't give us preference. They do not give you entrance or bread, or anything you just order to eat, we pay 160 $$ for this
One of my favorite restaurants in San Francisco. Located at the base of the Oakland Bridge. Fresh seafood fresh oysters as well as some steak options. Good atmosphere on the water with great views day and night also the sister restaurant next door the epic is a great Steakhouse
Amazing oyster selection. I recommend asking the very knowledgeable staff for recommendations (my personal favourite is the Kiwa). The bar is also very competent, I had a good Hep Cat, and a particularly well crafted Dry Martini (my go-to drink for gauging bars).
Not to mention the privileged view, of course - overlooking the Bay Bridge.
Love the location of this seafood restaurant, right by the bay just by the East Bay bridge. Great views of the passing boats, aswell as being a great people watching location for people on the Embarcadero. Great staff who were friendly, knowledgeable and great with children. We had the full snapper shared between three adults, along with three starters which was just the right amount of food.

One of my favorite places to have a drink and take in the scenery. Cucumber martini is light. Food is a 4 star, while the drinks, service and atmosphere are a 5 star. I come here with friends after work to unwind, and the Waterbar certainly does the trick.
Very nice, BUT be aware that it is very likely that your vehicle will be broken into unless you Valet. Our rental was broken into in broad daylight, even though it was night time, snatched our carry on luggage. Terrible way to start a vacation....
Wonderful this restaurant and bar! The view of the bridge is a spectacle apart which leaves us fascinated by the beauty and the super sophisticated and pleasant decoration.
Pretty disappointing. Found this place online while looking for a nice place to have a delicious meal to celebrate. We saw they had open tables online so we called for reservations but we were told over the phone they were over booked and we could not make reservations (that should have been our sign), so we booked online instead and got a reservation for 8:30pm which was surprising since we were told it was "over booked." The view was great and we were very pleased! The food was average, not worth the price. Service was less than average. We were informed that we had 90 minutes to eat and then we needed to leave and that all of us needed to place our order at once. I understand if this is policy but it seems like maybe it didn't need to be mentioned unless we started to get near that time frame. It was pretty abrasive and overall unpleasant. We actually ended up waiting a long while for the check, which felt very ironic. We placed our entire order, appetizer and meals at once, because we were told we had to and then received them all at once as well which was a little disappointing. For the price this place is really not worth it. I felt pretty bad for my friend celebrating because it turned out to be a bummer of a dinner.

An impressive decor, it is very well received. On the other hand go there if you are rich. We are in the US, and the prices of wine and dishes (which are still very good) are very high compared to the same menu in France.

The location is the thing here, with a beautiful view of the Bay, but it's incredibly noisy with all the brick. With the location, the emphasis is on seafood and the acquarium fish towers will amuse you if nothing else. Interesting wine list. Great for tourists but not bad for the locals either.
We came here for our anniversary and the service was excellent. We got a great window seat and loved the selection of oysters and crab.

$1 Happy Hour oysters and a phenomenal location make this Embarcadero eatery special; the unbelievably unfriendly and uneven service brings the whole thing down a notch, however.

Favorite place for oysters ever! They have an oyster happy hour and they are only a dollar! The frys are really good too with the aioli dipping sauce. You can also bring ur own bottle of wine to enjoy at your table for $20 cork fee. The views are amazing when you eat on the patio, this place is great!
I like knowing if my oysters were bag-grown or line-grown. It gives me an appreciation for how much scuba diving the harvesters had to undergo so that I could shovel down raw bivalves as fast as the man behind the rawbar could carefully pop them open.
That's the sort of place Waterbar is. It's a place to get oysters, and if you're feeling very strange indeed, a place to get a few other things that I've never had. I came for the oyster happy hour, I paid a dollar a pop, and I left. It's possible I had a few cocktails ($5 during HH) between oysters, but they didn't stick in the memory.
The menu is full of interesting and exotic varieties that changes daily like the tides, but if you come for the 1 dollar - 1 oyster happy hour, you don't get a pick. You just eat whatever mystery shellfish you get, and you'll like it.

The wood fire grill, fish tank, oyster/drink bar and view of the bay bridge makes for a dreamy, romantic ambiance. If you love seafood and are visiting San Francisco, I'd highly recommend the investment to dine here. The Dungeness crab, when in season, is particularly memorizing to eat. So good!

My family and I had a wonderful dinner, the food was absolutely amazing and it was great just being able to enjoy the outdoors and the view.
Our waiter was okay, he wasn't friendly. He didn't introduce himself and had this nonchalant attitude until I overheard him speak with a acquaintance who sat next to our table and then he became cheerful.
His tip amount was based accordingly.

Went here with my family for Restaurant Week! They got the Prix fixe, while I ordered the lobster roll and some oysters. The oysters are well priced (~$1 each), and while small, were fresh tasting. The lobster roll ($24) was excellent, very buttery with a good amount of lobster, and comes with a side of chips. We also got two desserts, the honey Panna cotta and a sticky toffee pudding. My family really liked the Panna cotta (which comes with real honeycomb, nice touch), but I really enjoyed the sticky richness of the toffee pudding. All in all a nice meal with a good view, but I think you end up paying a little more for atmosphere as opposed to the quality of the food.

Great atmosphere and ambience. I enjoyed the aesthetics of the space and the vibe was smooth. Our server Nathan was charming and really personable. We had the soft shell crab for an appetizer and sea bass for the entree. Talk about delicious! This was a quick five hour trip for us so we didn't have time to do much else. However this was a great experience. We sat right below the GGB. It was breathtaking at sunset.

Great place for a warm summer day on the piers. gets crowded on weekends but if you can find even a single spot at the bar you can order a drink and casually order your food for your party that has snagged one of the not reservable tables next to the restaurant. the food is quite good and the bay bridge is about 200 yards away.
Sea food was very good with some unique fish selections on the menu. Service was very good overall. Dinning room has great views of SF Bay and the Bay Bridge. Wine selection is very good. Would highly recommend this restaurant to any one.

The view is spectacular. With that being said, our expectations of the food was average. The mussel risotto was amzing. The texture of the mussels was perfect. We also indulged in the oysters. The prix lunch was a great lunch at a great price.

You can enjoy delicious seafood while enjoying the beautiful view of San Francisco. Raw oysters were delicious. There is meat and the steak is quite good. However, be careful if you ask too much because the amount of each dish is large!
