Super fantastic fish and oysters as well as a great view of the bay bridge! The service was immpecable ( my martini before dinner was about 1/2 full on arrival, and our waitress brought me another, no questions asked). She was also perfect with the timing of the different courses. Not too fast, which I hate, and not horribly slow, and also had good suggestions when asked questions about the menu. I wish I could remember her name! I had the special fish, which was flounder and it was wonderful, as were the oysters. Everyone loved their food. It was really pretty loud however which is my only criticism. Hard to have a conversation. Their was a lot of conventioneers their that night which may have contributed to that. It's pricey, though, so be prepared for that. Most times you get what you pay for though!

Food and fantastic views make a great place for dinner. Customer service was inadequate for this caliber of a restaurant. The views were breathtaking. The food and drinks were great, excellent location for dates, groups, and work meeting's.

Soooooo delicious! I hadn't been in some time and went to the Waterbar for lunch with coworkers. Every dish was excellent... From the oysters, the ceviche, the green curry trout, to the chocolates for dessert. The assortment of flavors was perfect. So perfect we all felt as though we were on vacation. *sigh* I'm going through withdrawals...

Waterbar is a great place for a fancy evening. The dining room has a beautiful view of the Bay Bridge and an impressive fish tank with tropical fish inside. This is also a great stop for happy hour, as they offer $1 oysters.

This was my first visit to Waterbar and I was impressed. We had a great view of the full moon rising over the Bay Bridge. The food was excellent with a creative presentation. The service was equally good. I will certainly be returning regularly.

Elegant building. Courteous staff. Gorgeous View. It can't get much better. Oh wait it can.

$1 Oysters from 11am - 5pm daily and the most delicious crab + beef burger I have ever had. The oysters are so fresh I was a little sad I live in LA.

I really don't have anything bad to say about this place. It's a 4-5 star quality restaurant at a 3 star price. Will come again when I'm back in SF.

Perfect to entertain clients as the food was excellent and the service superb. A wonderful restaurant to enjoy the SF bay's best seafood place. Great food, service and atmosphere. Combined with the scenic environment, I'd return in a heartbeat!

Came here for private event where we can have a great view overlooking to the Bay bridge from the balcony. Lovely evening with the Breeze and the food and wine was just as great. However, we have a preselected menus for the event and we can t even order other foods. I requested to have oyster but it took a long time .. how possible I come here without eating then oyster! According to the waitress , they can t order now from downstairs as the chef is different and I find it very strange since it is located in the same building. Hence I can t really write very good rating of the food as I only have salad and grilled sea bass. The sea bass is rather too thick and hence overcooked the fish. No moist and a little hard. Overall is good and I hope to come next time to try the ala-carte menu !

Had a great dining experience at Waterbar this evening. Waiter Efran and busser Freddie were attentive to our every need. Wonderful crab cocktail, curry pork cheeks and perfectly cooked salmon were a great dinner for two. Service was very attentive and the kitchen supplied an extra touch before our cappuccino.
A great meal and wonderful experience.

Excellent! A+ for food, service, atmosphere and location!! We started with a dozen medium to small oysters, we let our waiter choose for us, they were fresh and delightful! My favorite were the Marshall Select from Tomalas Bay. For the main course we had the Halibut, it was steamed to perfection on a bed of creamy blue corn grits with asparagus and morel mushroom sauce...it was delicious!! For dessert we had Sticky Toffee Pudding...save room, it is YUMMY! Not big on desserts but the Sticky Toffee Pudding tops my list of all time best desserts. It's less of a pudding and more of a super moist cake with an amazing toffee syrup drizzled all over. We also tried the Carrots & Cream cheese which was a total miss for me. Not a fan of saffron ice cream and the rest was just okay. Our reservation was at 5:30 and we were seated by a window. It was wonderful to experience the bay turning from day to night, from sail boats and ships passing by to the bay bridge lights dancing in the light.
They also have a lively bar and outdoor seating, I would love to go again for a casual alfresco dinner and drinks on a warm evening.

Two stars less than my last review due to the amount of lobster meat in the lobster roll being 1) very un-uniform among the three sandwiches in our party and 2) nearly non-existent anyway. Service and view outstanding and great, though, as usual.

O...M...G... totally awesome food and service!!! This is the classic example of "You get what you pay for," because while it was a bit on the expensive side, I had no reservations about paying it! First-rate service and food! The warm Maine lobster appetizer was absolutely delectable, and the oak roaster walleyed pike was phenomenal! Thanks to the waitstaff and kitchen crew! Great job!

Aweome!!The food and the view are to die for
But what caught my attention was their service .Our host Chelsea made it so special for us.She has a fantastic attention to detail trait.
From the chef,to the servers and everyone out there are thorough professional and warm.
These dedication and humbleness makes this restaurant stand out inspite of being pricey.

The seating is first come first served unless reservations are made. This leads to quite a bit of hunger games type of behavior from guest. We had
3 groups waiting on our table while signing the check.
Our waiter was not attentive at all but the bar backs and bus boys were on top of things.

Oysters were very delicious but small and the $3 beer is not on the happy the happy hour menu so had to be requested.

Great views, great decor but I won't be returning.

Expensive entrees? YES. Great view? YES. Amazing weekend $1 oyster happy hour? YES! Also, drinks/ champagne are not too pricey considering either. Great appetizers too. I recommend stopping by on the weekend after cruising down the Embarcadero. Also, a pretty solid spot to watch the Bay Lights when you feel like splurging.

Lovely view of the Bay Bridge especially at night. We loved the food but what really stood out was the service. We ordered several courses and had to wait a long time for our dinner. Someone came to our table to apologize for the delay, admitted that the kitchen had over cooked one of our meals and was remaking them both, and offered us some wine and a little appetizer on the house. Our food came shortly after and was amazing and perfectly cooked. While we were enjoying it, the manager came over to ensure we were satisfied and also apologized for waiting. The way I see it, we got to enjoy the view and each other s company longer and the wait was well worth it. Plus we got a couple of extras! I would definitely go back!

I read a few reviews about this place, the majority of which were good so I decided to check it out for myself. Checking in, I felt welcomed. Left my coat at the coat check, and then was seated at my requested seat next to a window. Tate was the server at my table, and she was so knowledgeable. Gave some great recommendations and was even able to have a dish modified to my likeness. The wine was good, sea bass and tuna were both delicious, ambiance lovely and service very good. Btw, I'm still raving about the bass since it was seasoned so well and cooked to perfection. I hardly ever find a well seasoned fish when I go out to eat.

The restaurant has two levels and an outdoor patio. The views of the Bay and Bay Bridge are superb. Restrooms are gender specific, with a changing table in the wheelchair accessible stall. Restroom was kept clean.

If you're driving, the restaurant has valet service for $20.

The very best place we have been to here in San Diego. Monica and the other server were astounding! Made us Texans feel at home. Luke thank you so much for the exceptional service! No less than 5 stars. Went above and beyond our expectations!!!

The experience is truly something of San Francisco legend. The cocktails, appetizers, wine list, and main dishes are all special. If you are not sure go with the wait staff's suggestions. The atmosphere and views of the bay are spectacular. It's alittle pricey, but worth every penny.

I totally liked this place, the food is remarkable, as well as the restrooms were tidy. It was a little cold indoors, so that was not totally cool. The food serve is good too. I will definitely take into consideration returning once again if I get the opportunity. Me and my pal bought the special and we were not let down. My one tip is to keep the cold exterior. Thank you!

Waterbar was amazing. My girlfriend and I got two of the only non-seafood items on the menu (steak and duck), and it was easily some of the best steak I've ever had. We also had some fried cauliflower as an appetizer, and it was delicious.

I've heard many good things about this restaurant as it's very close to work. I've always wanted to try this and Epic Steak next door. Perhaps I've built it up too much in my head and unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype. The food was fine, but not remarkable, and of poor value. Still, the view is hard to beat, unless you're sat near the back. During the day, try to sit out on the patio. For dinner, get a window table with full view of the Bay Bridge. Then it's probably worth it.

Great location and I wanted to really like it but the food just didn't really fit my taste. Some of the flavors felt a little greasy, even the curry seafood dish. However, manager was great and very accommodating!! But not so sure if I'd come back for the food.. :/

The most romantic restaurant in San Francisco. There is a small aquarium in the restaurant and the food here is seafood. Oyster is delicious and most of the menu is delicious. At night, you can see the glitter of Bay Bridge and you can have brunch in the morning. It's a great place to go to Farmers' Market on Saturdays, to have brunch, to have a romantic dinner on Friday evenings, or to have a nice dinner with your parents.

We went for happy hour. Fresh oysters, solid cocktails, attentive service. Unfortunately, I felt that the bald waiter was discriminatory which is unacceptable in this establishment. It's hard to hide racism, even with a smile.
