just writing a review to let y'all know that if you come here for health professions licensing, the counter closes at 4:30, not 5:00. if you go on the DOH website it will say this too. do not rely on the Google hours. and if you're not sure, call and ask.

They take forever to update your status on certifications. I sent in two copies of documents at two different dates, and they still haven t received anything. Then I received and email regarding my application that is incomplete , but they never stated what documents needed to be submitted. I called the same day and they sent me the exact email saying nothing but saying it s incomplete.
I ve been calling on a weekly based so I could get my status active so I can actually start working. Every worker I ve encountered has told me the a different thing. One worker told me that they were working on my files right now. Another one said my files where not on the system, and another told me to call on a weekly bases and just catch up with them to know the status of my file. This doesn t make sense, and I am really frustrated. Their slack has been not only me but others through financial burden. Do your job and give me a straight answer so I can do mine.
A year ago my wife applied for her MHP license. She didn't have enough time so the DOH representative said, don't worry we will hold the $200 you paid us and you can apply in a year. Well a year later, my wife goes to apply and apparently the $200 we paid is forfeit. So we have a garage sale to come up with the $200 AGAIN and my wife applied for her license a few weeks ago. And NOW the DOH is saying my wife didn't respond to some phantom email that we didn't receive and she has to apply again. WHAT?!?! The DOH keeps taking our money and they keep lying to my wife. This is how our STATE OF WASHINGTON is. They are quick to prosecute someone for stealing, but they take your money just like any common thief.
The guy seemed annoyed to answer the phone. Haven't been able to pick.up my license for over a month because they keep sending it to the wrong g address . Need to fire the whole staff for ineffecient work
I don't understand why you charge a convenience fee when I'm using your complicated online service and paying with a debit card. Sounds like you should be paying ME a convenience fee. Thieves.

I needed birth records from more than 50 years ago, I walked out the same day with them in hand. I returned the next day to correct my mistake and within minutes it was fixed. They were super friendly, accommodating and quick. Excellent customer service! Pro tip: park in the lot to the North of them for easy access to their front door.
These people are very helpful especially with the needful things that are needed . They have a great attitude especially with all the paperwork that they have to do on there end.

has taken FOREVER for me to get CNA certified . I m talking months. I ve passed both state tests and my classes. I passed the tests in August and still am being processed . I have all my papers in and it s October. Do your job so I can do mine.
It is more than a shame. It is inconceivable and irresponsible that the Department that claims to CARE about the health and safety of the people of WA is not available TO the people of WA. I went to the Department of Health last week. Doors are shut. I was on hold two different times and the last one I actually waited for 5 HOURS. NEVER spoke to a human. Please tell me HOW you believe you are there for the people of WA. It is WRONG.
Paid for my medical credential renewal application on February 1st. Here it is March 7th & it's still pending. I've called several times with no help! Everyone except one lady I talked to had an attitude! Finally asked for a refund today because it's been 5 weeks & this is unacceptable! Was told that my fee was nonrefundable... where on earth did I sign anything agreeing to paying $172 & it not being refundable? Wasn't even told that or that it would take this long! Jerks need to give me my money back! I dont even want to work in healthcare now because of you people! You people need to pull your heads out & do your jobs!
Thanks for employing my wife who doesn't quite get things but learns slow but past her giant head, she can be a nice person .. she needs improvement in make choice and decisions, maybe next year you can let her deal with the public without wanting touch faces and no no spots..Leighanne is a great addition and high five her for being so special
THE WORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD. I have been trying to switch my CNA license over to Washington from Idaho since June 18th. It s is now JULY 25. I couldn t verify myself online to do the online application so I had to drive over to Olympia which is 7 hours from me, to try and speed the process up. My start date at my new job has been delayed 4 times because of this place. HOW DO YOU EXPECT PEOPLE TO WORK AND KEEP JOBS IF IT TAKES SO LONG TO SWITCH A LICENSE OVER. Literally the worst experience I ve ever had.
I feel sad to move this state after I see all their administration. All the systems are corrupt and a business.
Because I drove from Bremerton to Olympia to spend 35min. On hold to do somthing I could have done from Bremerton!
I tried to reach them on the telephone over e-mail several times throughout the month of September but nobody ever answered me, I even kept the phone ringing for over 3 hours one day just waiting. Due to me taking advantage of the September 30th extension it wouldn't let me renew my RN license online so I had to mail a check. After 3 weeks of anxiously waiting after I mailed the check I finally saw them deduct my check from my bank account but when I check online my RN license says expired. I couldn't even reach anyone to see if I was allowed to return to work like this. Luckily my facility allows me to return to work with proof that I paid before the September 30th extension date on the check that was deducted from my bank account. I don't understand in the middle of a nursing shortage how they can do this. It's now been 3 weeks since the check deducted and my RN license still shows as expired on the website.
Why bother saying you are open until 5pm when it actually closes at 4:30? Thanks for the wasted time and effort.

I called to check on the status of my licensing, and I talked to a man named Steve. He was EXTREMELY rude, unhelpful, and almost sarcastic. He was no help at all, and did not make my call a pleasant experience. I have submitted TWO employment verification forms now, because they apparently never received the first one. I told him that it was super important that it gets processed, since I began work back in August. He was extremely unprofessional and rude, to the point where I was laughing at the end of the phone call because I could not believe his responses to me. I called back minutes later and talked to an extremely nice lady who explained things in a much clearer and kinder way for me. If Steve was an employee of mine, I would probably sit down with him and discuss how to respectfully talk to customers! Really disappointed with my experience on something that should ve been processed a while ago.

I called this place with some questions, waited 20 minutes, got through, whoever was supposed to be on the phone wasn t paying attention and they were joking around with coworkers. I was then hung up on without anyone checking to see if someone was on the phone. I kept saying hello over and over again. The last thing I heard from someone was I don t need to hear that.... click

Thanks to Randi millerd in the department of health after weeks of waiting for my massage license after paying over 250$ for everything they require ,i get a very late notice in the mail saying i now need a fingerprint backround check and i can only use the card they have provided ... well there was not a single fingerprint card in the letter and envelope they provided. I called and they said i could drive there and get it then drive another hour away to pay to get my fingerprints done then i could drive it an hour back to them just for them to take 32 dollars for the process of faxing my prints & now i will probably have to wait another 4 weeks untill i actually have my license in the mail by then i will probably lose my job because i cant do massages without it and because i have been waiting on my license for months now . So thanks for making the process even longer and taking money that i dont have . My life is being affected every time one of you gets lazy .
