An asset to the community, and an amazing group of soulful career helpers. Harm Reduction in its truest sense. SIS, drop-in, sex-worker drop-in on Fridays, HIV/HepC testing, safe sex supply distribution, community outreach. They really have it all. A leader in the field. Support.

Wow what a place. They will never turn you around and never judge you. This is a place where you to if you need help or are looking for ways to help the community. You can volunteer your time and help give away medical materials that are needed to help IV users not spread diseases and also to train and pass out Nalaxone kits so you can save a life if the time comes when you see someone OD off of opiods.
I have seen miracles come out if this place and this place is a safe haven for the homeless and the users who need an AC when it's hot outside or a chair when it's freezing outside. Unfortunately, they ended up losing the place over a month ago for reasons that are not of my business. But I hope they get another chance because I've seen more good than bad for this place. Enjoy it while you can.

Ruining the Heights by encouraging drug use and flooding the streets and parks with used syringes and junkies doped out of their mind all over the neighborhood. Their 'feel good' mission is making everyone except junkies less safe. My block always has junkies shooting up and doped out on it, the local parks have used syringes EVERYWHERE where my kids play.

I completely understand what are they trying to do, but I strongly disagree with the location of this location. More and more addictive people keep coming to the heart center of Washington Heights to do drugs under the supervision of a trained staffs.

This place is awesome! They offer everything from counseling to safe injection supplies, medical advice, Hep C and HIV testing, they can get you into rehab, point you in the right direction for whatever it is you need. It's a safe place to talk, get help or just chill out. I volunteer there and I'm currently taking a class on Harm Reduction.

Slowing down the spread of disease is a great cause, the collateral damage to my neighborhood of Washington Heights is criminal. The sidewalks are littered with syringes, syringe caps and humans strung out on heroin. If the needle exchange is going to set up here and exchange needles why arent they also doing clean up for their wares that are littering the streets and sidewalks kids are playing on?

I also think its interesting they decided to set up on the eastside of Broadway and not the west. This just reinforces the Broadway divide that has been going on for decades.
