Definitely consider looking at other hotels. I upgraded to a beach view and my beach view was looking at another hotels air conditioning unit. When I told the front desk staff they were rude and told me I could change rooms for an additional charge and would have to check out by 11 and check back in at 3. Extremely disappointing when traveling to Hawaii expecting to wake up looking at the beach only to look at another building. The pools on site were small and the resort charge seemed excessive
For what was offered on site. Only things that made up for the poor service was the impressive
Hotel gym, refillable water bottle distributed at arrival with fill up stations throughout the hotel and being a short walk to the beach and main strip. I will definitely have to start considering different hotel chains after this trip.

Great location right near the beach. Easy walk to 100s of restaurants and shops. The lobby has several stores for conscience too (starbucks, ABC, etc) so if you forget anything it's right there. They have towels you can grab from the fitness club to take out to the beach. We made good use of their laundromat located on floor 3. Cute trifle flowers for your hair on check-in. Ask the valet for towels or water too. They also have a shuttle you can take to the airport ($16 per person). Was NOT happy about their$35 resort fee as out only include coupons for percent off at shops- absolute garbage to charge that for nothing. Overall, Really great location for visiting Waikiki Beach.

booked a week at the hotel for $326.00 a night, pretty pricy but had to book last minute. I arrive to check in and am told I have to pay a mandatory $37.00 activity fee and $40.00 for parking, much more than I expected to pay, but I was there, not much else to do. Went to the room thinking it was gonna be a big vast suite... Nope, small one bedroom with spring mattresses, low water pressure, internet was spotty at best, and a tv remote that didn't work... What was the money paying for? I called another hotel closer to base that had a cancellation and military rate, free WiFi, and they waived my parking fee. When I went to the desk to check out of my overpriced room, I told them I was unsatisfied and they charged me another $75.00 for early checkout. No such thing as, "if your not satisfied, get your money back" at marriotts I guess. Very dissatisfied, and will think twice about staying at another marriott.

It was a very bright, clean and nice shop.
There is a riboose in the main, and the sub is in a buffet style.
If it is Waikiki, I think that it is a reasonable amount of money.

Nice but a little older. New shower caulk needed. Lobby is nice. Rooms below 14th floor can hear people talking on the street. Literally people yelling at 3 am. Get a higher floor. You may hear some light traffic but not people yelling. Staff is nice. Bring 12 oz water cups not water bottles. The lobby water has a no water bottle policy. I see why too. I saw a lady put her water bottle right on the nozzle. Gross! I dont want your germs. I got a corner room in the 25th floor after one night on the 13th floor. So no more noise. The hotel fee is 30 per night and may include internet, one free drink or coffee in the off season. All of the hotels on the SE Waikiki area are across the street from the beach. But that is considered beach property because the city owns the beach. Not a true very real resort but is a nice hotel with two towers two pools and good location.

Great Location, Amazing Customer Service, Comfortable Rooms, Great Ammenities and Beautiful Property. We stayed there for 8 wonderful days and would DEFINITELY stay there again. The Beach was only steps away, the pool area was wonderful with plenty of lounge chairs and cabanas. They provided food and drink service both at the bar and with servers at the pool. Plenty of Towels for use at the Pool and at the Beach. Around 500pm everyday, there was live music at the main pool area/ bar which was a pleasant surprise. The Customer Service was unsurpassed. From the moment we checked in we were made to feel valued from the front desk staff, to the housekeeping staff, the person handing out towels, to the servers, valets and even the maintenance staff. They epitomized the Aloha Spirit and enhanced our experience! One of the front desk staff even sent a hand written note and care basket full of Hawaiian inspired goodies "just because" I can not begin to tell you how nice that was ! The 5.2 Acre Property and the Resort itself has an open air reception area with plenty of seating, concierge services, two Starbucks, two ABC stores as well numerous shops with Clothing, Jewelry and Authentic Hawaiian art, jewelry and clothing. The property itself had surfing and scuba diving lessons, segway tours and an AMAZING Spa. The Location is wonderful as it is located only a 5 min walk from the Honolulu Zoo, 10 min walk to the upscale shopping areas, farmers market and numerous restaurants. We didn't rent a car but Uber and Lyft is always available if you need it and the hotel is also on the "pink line" for the Trolley. There is an Enterprise Rental Car location in the building if you want to rent a car to explore the island. Our room had a partial Ocean view and full view of Diamond Head. We sat on our Lanai every morning and drank our coffee and revelled in the remarkable view. The building was quiet, the only noise coming from the city itself. I honestly can't say enough about this Resort. We will definitely stay there again and recommend that you do too ! Aloha !!

Rooms are a bit older in the paloakalani tower, it's a short walk across the street to the beach, which is nice. Unfortunately it was raining the night I arrived and there really wasn't a good place to just grab a drink that wasn't open air, so be careful of the weather. Otherwise a nice hotel, if a bit expensive because of its proximity to the beach. Also I was in a room facing East, and the buses start around 5AM, which creates a lot of traffic noise that is not fully insulated by the window.

I had a great experience at the the Marriot. The place was huge with lots of stores and if you get lost, the friendly staff can help you find where you need to go. I came to rent a car from the Dollar Rental Car located inside the resort. I got my car within a few minutes and the valle quickly brought out my vehicle. I will definitely rent here again in the future.

The worst hotel I have ever been in and I have worked in many hotels in my life. Inroom airconditioning sounded like a plane taking off, hallways had no aircon. The access hole in the bathroom was hanging off if its hinges. No bar fridge in room despite saying that we were meant to have one. The pictures of the website were deceptive beyond what I can say.
The 1 star is for the staff being nice

After the initial attitude and arguing customer service person. We were upgraded to a beautiful ocean view, given champagne and chocolate strawberries and continued apology for our initial greeting and misunderstanding regarding our room. After the cruise we returned to the Marriott and to my Surprise we had upgraded rooms and marvelous service. The resort is beautiful. Love the open lobby. Food and little pricey but equivalent to most places in Hawaii. Need to consider free breakfast even if it's a sandwich and coffee at Seattle best. Which was really good.

I d really struggle to even call this a resort... it was more of a basic hotel. If you re looking for a place to simply sleep, this will work fine, but if you re looking for more you ll be disappointed.

The hotel it's fine. Many of the staff were not the friendliest, and the concierge we dealt with was much more interested in selling us stuff than advising us. The location is convenient, but Honolulu kind of a dump.

In town for business and the Waikiki Beach Resort is a great place to stay, the rooms are very clean and spacious. The location is great, right by the beach and several restaurants. A few drawbacks were I was on the seventh floor and could hear construction crews working and in the evenings cars driving down the road behind the hotel. The toilet was loose and uneven so when you sat it wobbled. Will definitely select this hotel for my next visit.

Very clean. Polite staff. Great location. Got two full beds instead of one king, though I snore so it was ok. Sheets didn't wrap bed properly so my feet rubbed on the mattress protector all night.

Great value for the level of attention to detail and all the perks involved (free coffee a day, drink voucher, dvd rentals, free parking). Great when traveling with a baby (ours was 11 months).

I could not find a single thing wrong with the place although I felt a bit embarrassed from drinking tap water hehe. I enjoyed the food, the design, the guests, the walk from my room to the gym. The place was great. Having a roommate on my business meeting was pretty comfortable

Beautiful hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Many amenities on-site and far enough from the craziness near Lewers Street to be great (but close enough to walk to if you want that). Rooms are clean. Most have beach views. Parking is ridiculously expensive ($45 valet, $40 self parking???????)

Very nice layout. Room was great. Quick walk across the street to the beach. My only complaint would be the beach was crowded and not the clean. Drove to North shore of Oahu an beach was amazing.

The hotel is nice and the stafg is very frienxly and helpful. There are two pools, a hot tub, and gym and most importantly it is across the street from the beach. There are 4 restaurants to choose from, all have good food. The rooms are a good size although some bathrooms are a bit on the small size.
Overall, a great location and choice for waikiki.

Just finished a 7 night stay and while it s a good location the service we received was very poor, check in staff were poor and even on occasion we had to ring housekeeping to clean our room as they forgot. Also buyer beware of what ocean view room means. They are also renovating so a little noisy during the day when you are trying to relax by one of their pools (the other is closed). Renovation are not advertised anywhere until you arrive. I for one am starting to ask myself why I am a Bonvoy member when you receive this sort of poor service.

This "review" is really for the inner courtyard of this Hotel - not the rooms or other service a guest would experience.
- The inner courtyard houses a few shops and a couple of different lounging areas - all with plenty of light and fresh air. 2 shops of particular interest to me are the StarBucks and the ABC store. They are both neat and well kept with service typical of their respective brands. That they are both conveniently located and with the adjoining lounging areas available to enjoy your drink while possibly either using your laptop or just catching-up on your cellphone or tablet - this is a much more pleasant and relaxed environment than trying to do the same at other Starbucks locations which are often packed-out including other locations frequented by the pungent unwashed homeless (unfortunately this situation is totally out of control in Waikiki with other states dumping their homeless here).
