Our room had a decent view of the beach. The lobby is nice and open and the pool area is great. Rooms were a bit small, and the shower head weird but overall the experience was great. Easy access to Waikiki and the beach access is easy to get to.

The property is beautiful and very close to alot of food places and trolley. The only problem was the room cleanliness we had two rooms and both of them were dirty. The tv and internet didnt work in the room. The staff and manager apologized they are going thru reconstruction. I would still stay there again. Housekeeping does need retraining on vaccuum and wippeing all counters. Old coffe stains and other crust substances on counters. Dirty qtips on floor. One day water was shut off didn't know until night prior. May should have stated on website ahead of time or at check in. Jordan at front desk was really helpful and the BEST OUR entire stay and the manager. The staff is amazing and the food at the breakfast Buffett and seafood buffet night well worth it. ABC store in lobby which helped woth grabbing late night snacks. Has a DVD rental box free for guest ro get movies came in handy with DVD and fridge in the room. Microwave $10 a day. Make sure if newding a car rental from downstairs book a day ahead gets full quickly.

Friendly staff and accommodating for Bonvoy members. Rooms are ok. But standard prices are abound what expected for the quality of room. Good restaurant options but Definetly does not feel like a resort. Outdoor lobby and seating area is best around town. Very pleasant to work or sit.

The rooms in the north most tower are very old and have outdated utilities. The southern tower is slightly nicer and have a better view of Waikiki Beach and the surrounding Honolulu. The housekeeping staff are very rude and reluctant to provide any help, and they do not do a very thorough job cleaning the room. This is quite the opposite at the Ko Olina Vacation Club just on the other side of the island. The Internet prices are expensive for one day, but you can add up to 5 devices on one room.

We had 2 wonderful nights stay. Pillows were excellent! I am very picky when it comes to pillows. I slept like a baby. Refrigerator was a little loud in our room. It is downtown so expect some noise. Our view was wonderful. Oh yes! Drive slowly in the parking garage around the corners. Some people drive fast.

Check-in was very poor in terms of both speed and attitude. Took around 45 minutes for 5 rooms (also saw a cockroach scampering in the lobby though that might not be the hotel's fault). We didn't manage to sit together for breakfast next day because the server assumed we were another table of the same size double checking our booking. Didn't even take down the name or room number.

We had a partially plugged drain in the bathroom and maintenance dept fixed it as soon as they were called. But the air conditioner was not working so the room was hot and muggy especially after showering. And bathroom should have a ventilation fan. Could have been better.

The hotel is what you should expect when staying at a Marriott. The concierge service was informative and accurate. No pressure to add excursions. The staff at every turn was knowledgeable and helpful. The resort fee wasn't a surprise and on par with the other hotels in the area. The fee included extras I did not expect and we took advantage of them. Enterprise rental is on site which we chose to use for a day. I will recommend this place to friends and family.

Ocean view room

Ocean view room
It was the best.
Morning, evening, night scenery.
The wind is nice.
Because it is the end of the beach
I think it's quiet.
If you use the trolley
There is no problem.
In T Galleria
If you want to walk, you can walk

Almost all rooms are ocean view, so that's a perk. Pools are nice, one stays mostly shaded during the day so those that don't want a lot of sun can enjoy still. Beach conveniently located across the street.

The Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort is in a very central location, and within walking distance of the beach, shape, and restaurants. They make us pay a $30 activity fee which seemed kind of bs. It included a code for a free Shutterfly photo album, 1 drink, and a Blu ray rental card. But who goes to Waikiki to watch Blu-rays in their room? The room itself was nice, with a balcony and great view of the water.

Everything was fine. Parking is expensive. Resort fee is mandatory and expensive. Good location. I stay here regularly for business. Some rooms fell like they are missing furniture becuase there is a large open area that looks out of place.

Paid for an ocean front room for my honeymoon, this is the view they consider ocean front so it wasn't smart to pay for the upgraded room. Wanted to pay for everything up front so when we got here we didn't have any additional charges. I guess there's a mandatory 35/day resort fee they add on, then the petty part is they even charge tax on it..... The resort fee gives you some free alcoholic drinks (which we don't drink) and free movie rentals (because we came to Hawaii to watch movies)
The good part is the room was cleaned several times a day, it is a pretty good sized room, and the workers are nice. Don't think I'll stay there again, for a couple bucks more you can stay in the Moana, right on the beach

I was quite disappointed by this place which has a room rate of over 500$/night. I had also stayed at the nearby Coconut Waikiki at 175$/night and found the latter better in service and hospitality. One could easily sense that the Marriott was more interested in extracting cash from its customers than providing decent customer service or treating its employees well. Employees appeared generally demotivated. Some specific examples of my issues here:
- Room was fairly standard and dated for a luxury hotel and bathroom was no better than an average Holiday Inn. Walls were thin so one could hear conversations clearly from the room next door.
-The hotel has two 30 story buildings for residents but a common infrastructure that is woefully inadequate. Queues for the 40$ breakfast were 30-45 minutes, swimming pool was tiny and overcrowded and there was 1 jacuzzi for the whole hotel.
- a can of diet coke would cost 11$ for room delivery and we were told it could take 1/2 hour
- our luggage was delivered in 1 hour.
- Reception kept me on hold for 10 minutes to answer a simple question, luckily their phones have a speaker.
- Lani at reception should be trained better as she appeared to be more of a pompous official than a friendly receptionist, I would have thought that was a minimum requirement in a 500$ plus hotel in Hawaii of all places. Compare that to the friendly receptionists at the Coconut Waikiki
- Cost 9.75$ for me to print my boarding pass at the Business centre, at the Coconut they did it for you for free.

The location was great but with so many irritations at an expensive hotel, I would look elsewhere. Marriott has recently taken over Starwood, where I normally stay happily and I hope they don't infect the Starwood hotels with such sloppiness and greed.

Location was great, short walking distance to many touristy things to do around the area. Room was regual room nothing too fancy. If ordering food to the hotel room expect high prices. Scooter rental place across the street was too notch.

Rooms are specious and clean. Hotel has two outdoor pools and one jacuzzi. The second pool has a large sitting area with a bunch of lounge chairs for sun bathing and one outdoor bar. The hotel itself is adjacent to the public beach.
