very nice resort in Waikiki. it is on the shoreline, very close also to the entrance of the freeway.
very nice resort in Waikiki. it is on the shoreline, very close also to the entrance of the freeway.
Great location, nice amenities. Excellent perks for Marriott rewards members.
First time at this particular Marriott. Gym was outstanding, breakfast was super comprehensive (Chuck makes the best omelets!) and the service was second to none. My son kept asking if we were famous because of how nice everybody was! We will be back again next year!
The hotel's management is unprofessionally nasty. Once you are in, you are stuck dealing with them; and they know that you are at their disposal. Do you and I have a recourse to fight back their abuses? No, we don't. They are always the winners and you and I always the losers.
You'd expect the best from the Marriott chain and they deliver here.
Hotel room is OK, the views are amazing!!! The service hasn't been consistent. Housekeeping offered great service, room service hasn't, Moana Terrace waitresses couldn't care less! You excuse it because come on it's Hawaii, how can you be upset about much surrounded by such beauty! But the service overall here hasn't been great
It was an expensive stay, around 500 daily when i went. But it was beautiful with lounging areas, restaurants, shopping, and convince stories all throughout the first through third floors. Plus the beach is in walking distance of the hotel. Its also wheelchair accessable hotel.
Very clean and Cosy after remodeling, extremely friendly , recommended to everyone .
It was renewed and was beautiful. But the staff were not very friendly. It was inconvenient, even though there was a party, I didn't care at all.
Gorgeous view, but everywhere has that. Mediocre food and pricey.
Stayed in paoakalani tower with an "ocean view". Pretty basic room, queen bed, small bathroom. Tv is sizable which was a plus. The little balcony is nice. Starbucks and ABC store on premise. Small pool and jacuzzi located on 3rd floor next to the gym. Coin operated laundry machines near the pool. You have the option of valet or self park, street parking is limited, 2 hour metered parking between 7am-6pm. We didn't dine at any of the restaurants here so can't comment. Beach is more steps away. Plenty of food and shopping options within 15-20 minute walk from here.
I stay here a lot. Very nice and clean, many rooms that are comfy, has both valet and self parking. Several restaurants and shops. Starbucks in the lobby ave two abc stores.
The location and janitor service are good but the concierge. My key didn't work one day so I had to get a parking ticket to enter the garage. The receptionist said they would refund me but never did. I called the accounting department and someone took my name, phone number and mentioned calling me back but never did either.
Parking is 45$ and resort fee is 38$ per day but no coffee/water on the hallway.
Sales person around the lobby area could be borderline rude.
Good hotel, close to the beach, great view, friendly staff.
Great people, so close to beach beautiful view great food
We were here in May 2018. This Resort is more than adequate for a stay to discover and explore Waikiki. It was clean and everyone was very helpful. We had a 'city view', but could see Diamond Head, the ocean, and some of the city. At night it was fascinating to watch night life and see the lights on Waikiki. We were very satisfied with the service we received here, and would definitely stay here again. The reception area is vast and has such a tropical feeling being open. So relaxing and clean. Starbucks on site was VERY convenient. There is a breezeway at the front of the K tower that leads you right to some shops, including the ABC store. Then, you can exit that breezeway and find yourself right on the main strip. The walk across the street takes seconds and you are right at the beach. Lots of restaurants nearby, including some cheaper options like Cheeseburger in Paradise and Burger King. We were very happy with this resort and recommend it. Choose a city view so you can see some of the city hustle and bustle at night from the balcony! The sliding door was sound proof so we slept well while it was closed. Not sure why I have seen negative reviews about noise because there is none unless you are out on the balcony in the middle of the night. Even then, it was not insane noise. We will definitely be back...location location! Everything is close and easy to get to from here, including Diamond Head, Diamond Head Luau, and Duke's. Great stay, thank you Marriott!
The hotel offers a decent location. It's right across the street from the beach. Lots of food and shops nearby. It has a couple shops on the first floor AMD an ABC store. Only a couple minute walk from all of the major shopping centers. The rooms are nice. Good views. It is at the South East end of the main street which is somewhat quieter end. All in all a good spot to vacation.
Great food and the ppl were awesome. Bed was like angle fluff lol
The hotel is comfortable but shows it's age a bit. Make sure your room is not near one of the two sets of elevators, as they are pretty noisy and constantly in use.
we had no choice but to go here since we had an emergency landing here!! but we were so impressed first time to oahu but we will definitely be back and i will be staying here!! the restaurant view is amazing both restaurants were great and the hotel staff was absolutely amazing during the stressful time!!
Absolutely stunning place to stay at. Nice view from the rooms (at least the 2 I've been in, I should say), you got pool and gym access if you so desire, as well as an ABC store and Starbucks at the bottom floor
Even in the room on the Diamond Head side where the sea can hardly be seen, it was said to be the ocean view in the hotel regulation. There is location, too and you should stop Marriott if you like the sea. The staff at the counter dedicated to Japanese people is quite tight.
This is one of the best hotels I've stayed at. The staff is amazing and upgraded our room for our anniversary.
Great hotel, very modern with a welcoming staff. I do recommend not going to their buffet, there are other cheap and tastier outside. My family had a fantastic time here. definitely coming back and hopefully all the rooms will be renovated and also the hot tub will be open.
Conveniently located near the beach, shops and a wide variety of restaurants.
It's a nice hotel, seconds away from the beach. The hotel itself is clean. There a lots of shop s and restaurants bear the hotel.
Room was clean and nice. However, music from restaurant / bar across the street is so loud that it made sleep impossible during performances. We were on the 13th floor, facing the Diamondhead direction, in the tower closest the beach. I suspect the other rooms on that side were in a similar situation. I would ask about noise level if this might bother you.
Awesome open-air lobby and less than 50 yards from the beach.
Great location, terrific restaurant selection, amazing lobby, but hotel room slightly outdated. The room configuration is from the 70s where the bathroom vanity is separate from the toilet and shower room. There is no door to separate the vanity from the room. I really wish the hotel had modernized rooms.
Friendly staff, comfy bed, awesome location- thank you Marriott
Currently, one pool, laundry, access passage, etc. cannot be used during renewal. Although it is not a big problem, there are thoughts about "anyway", so I got 3 points.
Beautiful hotel with even more beautiful views of Honolulu and the ocean. The views from our room overlooking Waikiki Beach were once in a lifetime! We had our room for almost a week and the staff was incredibly generous and welcoming for our entire stay. The concierge helped up set up all of our activities and gave us perfect recommendations our entire stay. The wide open lobby just feels like Hawaii, and doesn't let you down for the entire stay.
My husband and I are staying here for our honeymoon and love it! The staff is very hospitable and seem genuinely excited for you to be arriving for your vacation. Our room had an amazing view (it seems most rooms do) right by the ocean for incredible sunsets. The restaurants are pricey, but no more than any other local restaurants, and the food is amazing. Highly recommend the morning buffet, it has everything you could possibly want and then some. I would definitely recommend come again!!
It's an OK hotel. The rooms are a bit dated. The hotel is across the street from easy beach access. Not bad.
Parked here to walk around Wakiki strip. Tight parking and then when we came back, had to go through the hotel lobby to find the garage. Signage is not clear. But the parking is close.
Nice place to stay. Across the street from the beach & good location for accessing all types of shopping. Sliding glass doors in rooms are not soundproof so you will hear all types of street noise.
Lots of people who are you coming to the hotel is located in the rain. The only thing I can get it payed off the phone. I am NOT and I am a beautiful day. I am NOT sure what the heck is a good idea to have the right to be a good time. I am NOT and will never become a druggie. The first, but the only thing I would have been a highly technologically, and a half of my friends from the hotel 3, I have to do you want. The
Hotel located almost near Waikiki beach. Very close to restaurants and shops. Plus, there is also a park on the other side of the street and the ZOO located there. In the evenings, discos are held in the hotel on the first floor (they are not burdensome for the residents of the hotel). The only downside is that bed linen and towels are not changed daily. You need to remind about this service. The standard of the hotel is adequate for the price, so do not expect gold seats or door handles.
This place is pricey, but I will not vacation anywhere else. We were on the 23rd floor of the ocean-facing rooms. The VIEW is breathtaking, and we get the sunset view. I love how the lagoon is right across the street and there are so many shops around. We got our nails done below and my friend had a wax done at the spa below. I LOOOOVE the pool and bar on the 3rd level! Pricey, but the mai tais are potent, and all of the food is very tasty. We had kailua pork nachos, poke musubi, the calamari was cooked perfectly, the Marriott burger was on point, and the onions rings to perfection. I like they have the red lihuimui powder for thr margaritas, and the pina coladas were on point. DEXTER was thee absolute best! He chased the birds away with ice cubes once he figured out they were bothering us. I love that the cabanas are rentable for the day or half day.
I will staycation here anytime.
The room we got was very spacious and clean. I love that the sliding doors to the lanai had some great soundproofing. Service was great.
Old building, great location, but not worth the price. Room smelt moldy, floor boards were all very dirty. Carpet needed to be replaced. Did not feel like the usual Marriott experience we are used to.
Waikiki beach is right in front of you.
When the restaurant on the second floor needs to be used, it is a little difficult for the wheelchair to approach.
There was. I had to go to the 2nd floor with the elevator used for fire on the 1st floor. But the restaurant on the second floor was good.
Everything was solved on foot.
It's a place I want to go again.
Everything was great about this Hotel!! Location - walking distance from Waikiki Beach, great customer service, lots of restaurants and shops within the Hotel and nearby.
Room clean, staff nice. Resort fee included breakfast but $40 daily was a little pricey. Also, best to go off property if you don't want to spend a lot for meals.
ate at sansei awesome sushi and karaoke on the weekends. plus happy hour is great.
Good hotel, right by the beach. Went during new years time so it was quite busy. Location is great but service could be improved a bit. Overall a pleasant stay.
Perfect view of Waikiki beach from the ocean front rooms! Nice hotel and staff.
Great hotel, rooms are very clean, professional staff, nice size TV (55 inch), right next to the beach, great restaurants attached and nearby. Parking will be a pain during peak season.
Loved the hotel and the ataff is very friendly. Nearby affordable shopping and just a great location across from the beach!!
Attended a wedding. Food was delicious, servers weren't friendly.
We came for Arancino's, because their uni pasta is so amazing. Even my toddler loves it!
Close to the beach, you can enjoy the atmosphere of the resort
Trird to charge me for parking even though did not park in their garage, check ur bill. Very old, had to switch room cuz AC was making noise, then have to get people to come in and fix the sliding door to the balcony for the second room even though we didnt want people in for the day. Stay somewhere else
Excellent service and amenities. Great location for kuhio beach Park, which is very kid friendly for swimming.
Newly renovated rooms had an option for a room, with two queens and two twins. Perfect for the 2 teens and the 2 younger kiddos.
Stayed here for two weeks. The staff was amazing. Lost my wallet and they helped me find it. Had to change rooms at one point due to construction and they had a new room for me within 5 minutes. All of the restaurants are good too.
