I love this place. Right across from the beach, one of my favorite Marriotts to stay at. Always something to do in the area. Gave it only 4 stars because the resort fee gets you nothing.

Great location, friendly customer service BUT Kuhio grill breakfast buffet staff needs to be well trained. Not all of them but few are unacceptably rude. Sometimes small things can ruin your whole Hawaii memory. Be aware !

It was a beautiful hotel with a nice staff (Tina was amazing). Some signs of wear and tear, and our Gold benefits were modified (only 1 breakfast, but still got a good floor upgrade), but the breakfast buffett was SO good. Would highly recommend!

Stayed 5 days in this beautiful resort. Amazing staff that's very friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice with a great view! Right across the street from the beach where you can swim, paddle board, or surf. ABC store in the lobby and plenty of food options around the block. Also very short drive to all the places you want to see. Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head, the Zoo, Dole plantation. All 30 minutes or less from the hotel. Would definitely stay again.

Really nice location on main drag off Waikiki beach. Walking distance to great restaurants. Parking garage attached for rental car.We paid for view room which was very worth it. Buffett for breakfast had a great mix, nice room and service. Music by pool really pretty good. Rooms are very nice, balcony is great for view. Room service menu short, but good. We had a problem with our room and they were prompt and accommodating to our needs. Nice staff, clean common areas. We would stay here again.

We paid top dollar for a premium ocean view and then paid more for an upgrade to a junior suite that was suppose to have the same view. 80% of the view was the street. The staff where distant and not forthcoming. This place is only interested in you if you are dishing out the cash. Over priced and under delivered, find somewhere else to stay.

Super friendly receptionist. The lobby is nice and clean. We got upgraded to ocean view and it's so gorgeous. The rooms big w/big bathrooms, one of the nicer hotels I've stayed at on Waikiki. The location is perfect. Lots of restaurants nearby and the beach is across the street. The only negative about this place is that the elevator is a tad bit small which isn't a big deal. I'd highly recommend this hotel.

Really good hotel. It has normal and hot pool, gym and spa. Staff from info point and concierge are really friendly and helpfull. Really clean and cleaning ladies are friendly as well.
The bad side is the high prices for the resort fee but actually really few things provided (every morning either yoga, zumba, aquafitenss) and "cultural" activities like hawaiian dancing lessons. Furthermore, the privacy in the bathroom is not very effective, only a door for the tube/toilet but the sink is a shared place with the bedroom.
The position is awesome, just in front of the beach!!

A nice looking building right on Waikiki main street. Everything is within walking distance from here, but the driving is terrible so I'd avoid it. For a tourism hotel it'll definitely fit your needs and there's a lot of amenities for your use that are available. The view on the higher floors is alright.

The rooms are clean, decadent, and well equipped. The hotel employees are wonderfully kind as well, greeting customers with a smile and "aloha.". On top of all this, the location is incredible, it is only a few steps away from anything one might need on vacation at Waikiki.

Great Waikiki location, convenient beach access, close to shops and restaurants. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, and most have at least some ocean view. Omelets and bread pudding with breakfast buffet were delicious!

Nice location. Beautiful lobby. In my hotel room, you could tell that it was in need of a major upgrade - the shower was shabby and looked to have mildew on it. The bed, however, was very comfortable and the room itself was nice for an overnight stay. Breakfast at the buffet was extremely expensive -$85 for two adult plates and one child plate. Shopping is conveniently located within the hotel. Overall, it was an average stay. I have stayed at nicer Marriott's but as they say, location, location, location - it is right down the street from Waikiki Beach.

I didn't stay here but to drop off a family member. It's really nice and spacious! I love how it's so close to the stores and across the beach! Now, I wanna stay here for a week or two! I always loved the Marriott hotels!

Yeah. It s a good Marriott with a nice view of the harbour (good for fireworks) but Waikiki is just OVERRUN these days. It s also extremely difficult to find a decent meal anywhere in the area. Mostly fried, overpriced food, or something like the in-house sushi place which is meh. The breakfast, though, is good (if FREEZING) and the service is very good. It s a clean, nice hotel.

It's a huge hotel with two tall buildings. Overpriced with "resort charge". Starbucks and ABC store are in the hotel, you can buy things you need, but rooms are old and they could renovate rooms as nice as the lobby.
Update in January 2020: Most rooms are now renovated and rooms look clean and modern. Prices can be crazy during Christmas and new year ($800+ for normal rooms) but this seems to be normal in Hawaii. Sounds of music from the nearby hotel (Tiki's) continued till 11pm. Stay at a room facing to St. Augustine church, if you are sound sensitive.

This hotel has a great location with lovely views of the beach. It's walking distance to restaurants and the beach and it has nice amenities. The rooms are a bit dated, but, overall, it is a nice hotel with an amazing location

Parking is so exspensive. Then to top it off the pay machine was glitch infected. No atm cash machine in the hotel that works. By the time I got back to leave the hotel. Another 8 dollars was tacked on to my ticket. Otherwise, no bed bugs in the hotel and staff friendly but not helpful.

Decent hotel and great base for exploring Waikiki. Rooms are not really new, but functional and clean - those in the seaside-tower were a bit nicer. Two starbucks-cafes, two groceries, a lot of boutiques and at least three classy restaurants (the Italian 'arancia' was my favourite) are very convenient. Waikiki-beach is right across the street, and the promenade and an adjacent park provide good opportunities for runners. The hotel offers a nice gym, two small pools and a whirlpool. The enterprise car-rental office in the house is usually sold out, but there are several others within a few blocks. Waikiki-downtown with a vast variety of restaurants, shops, and bars is a 15' walk away.

At 5 am on the morning of the 12/5, I called the front desk and told me to ignore it. Then, after 5 minutes, the smell of burning was severe and when I went out to the hallway, smoke started to rise, and I quickly packed my luggage and got down. went.
I thought the words at the front desk were fake, but I'm really sorry, but the lights were gone, so I told him to rest assured.
But I was with my pregnant wife and said that I couldn't go to a room with smoke, and then she said that all I could do was move the room and gave me a room at a very low price. It was a high-grade room, but...
After that, two phone calls came and said that the smell didn't go away and the smoke disappeared, and the phone called to ask if we would go to the original room. When I asked if I would go, he said that neither he was going, but i am sorry.
We went on a honeymoon, and because of this fire, we couldn't sleep from 5 a.m. and ruined today's schedule.
A fire broke out in a 4-5 star hotel called the Marriott Hotel, which is renowned worldwide, but the service to customers is less than that of a regular motel.
The fact here is that the fire did not report it to the fire department, and even though it was a fire that could cause enormous personal damage, the response seemed too insufficient, and the pregnant woman was told to go to the room where the fire caused smoke and smell. ..
How to believe in such a hotel and choose this place.'

I will never use a Marriott hotel again
I hope those who read this review also make good choices.

The room was not properly cleaned and the carpet was tearing as well as one of the sheets. For as high-priced as this was this was one of the worst Marriott's I've ever been in. Reminds me why I don't stay at Marriott's anymore

Super great hotel right on the beach of Waikiki Beach.
Close to the Diamond Head in the southern part of Waikiki with easy access to the highways.
Service top, facilities top. Parking costs $ 30 per day and is not uncommon for Honolulu.
