Waikiki Beach Marriott Review

Convenient location, interior decoration and service in general, no thermos only coffee machine, will not consider again next time

Great hotel for a relaxing vacation. Staff is friendly and professional. Beach located right across the street from hotel. Many places to dine. Two different pool areas. Many shopping stores in walking distance.

Stayed here in 2006 and enjoyed it just as much the second time around. Fab location.

Great place to stay, central to all great activities, awesome buffets and plenty of food choices close by...but walk down to Queens Beach for quieter times.

I stayed here for 3 nights. Loved the location and staff. The pupus I ordered were very tasty as well as my dinner. Valet parking and a close walk to the beach.

This location is beautiful. It's nice to hang out in the lobby, it's quite spacious!

Visiting a friend. Room was lovely, but friend was charged four extra times for something. Had to show them her bank statement, as they wouldn't believe her. NOT the best.

Staff were amazing. Rooms are 80s at best. Clean and central. Restaurants were fantastic

We stayed here in September for our honeymoon. Greag location, close to bus route, lots going on. We got a premium ocean view room with 2 balconies (corner room) it was gorgeous great staff, laundry on site so you dont need to pack heavy. They broufht us chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of champagne for our honey moon. Paradise!!

Overall great stay just ran into a couple minor issue 1 front desk lady didnt make us feel welcome didnt smile at all kinda rude idk why maybe because we were locals....sigh* and parking garage for hotel is super tight so just becareful

If you really want to visit Waikiki (I prefer the other islands) then this is a well appointed and we'll located hotel.

First time in Hawaii. The Marriott was a great place to stay. On Waikiki beach and next to the shopping. Already planning my trip back.

We stayed at ocean front view, but everything was great.
The room has been renovated and the photo itself. It was 39 square meters and it was very spacious, clean, and the interior was cute. Personally, the bed was very easy to sleep. We think that it is cheaper if it is this area even in the same 4-star hotel.

The view from the room is the best. When I entered the room, I could see the blue sea in front of me. The sunrise and sunset were beautiful and impressed. The location is also right in front of the beach & very tall building, so you can overlook Waikiki from the top rather than other hotels. You can see all of the sun, the sea and the city, and you can enjoy breakfast and drinks in Lanai. It was also right in front of the beach, so it was nice to get back to the hotel as soon as I entered the sea.

The location is a bit far from the center of Waikiki, but personally it was good. There was a bus stop in front of me, so I could go anywhere by bus, and there was no night noise & the walls and windows of the hotel were well made, so I was able to spend a quiet time.
There were Starbucks, ABC store, rental car shop in the hotel and it was too convenient.

There is no problem with employees and housekeeping is perfect. There was also a pool and everything was good.

Since there is no shaving & toothbrush, you should take the amenity.

It was a hotel where I wanted to stay again (the area with a pool seems to be renovated and I want to go!)

Hotel rooms are nice and well maintained. Even the Mauka (Diamond Head) side views are good.

Once you go to Marriot you don't want to stay anywhere else

Just arrived, seems very nice. Clean room. Modern feel. Spacious. Open commons area. A block from the beach. Spectacular views.

Ocean front view rooms are not really ocean front. You will see buildings and parking from the window. And somewhere on the side ocean will be visible

Visited the Italian restaurant for lunch. Great kama'aina discount on special lunch menu. Great service! We were seated even though we showed up 5 min before close of lunch. Very attentive staff even though they were technically closed already. Will visit again!

Worst service I ve received in any Marriott property. Two front desk employees lied about their managers email when I wanted to discuss their disgusting treatment. Will definitely reach out to Marriott about the matter but please do yourself a favour and don t stay at this property. I checked out immediately and found many other better resorts around.

Rooms were clean but outdated. We were upgraded to a ocean view room.

This place was really nice. The gym was great too! I enjoy working out and the gym here at this hotel pretty much had everything. Stairmaster, treadmills, smith machine, cable machine, assisted pull up machines, straight bars, dumbbells etc. The breakfast buffet was alright. Very expensive in my opinion! Better off eating across the street. Other than that the room we stayed in was double bed and it was a big size room. The lobby area is nice to hang out and eat.

A well laid out resort, food was a bit on the pricey side but delicious all the same.

Great hotel and minutes from the beach. Water refill stations. Rooms were spacious and clean. Pools are heated until 11 PM. Only drawback was the $50 parking valet but imagine trying to find parking :/.

I went to a site visit for work and Cheryl showed us the banquet rooms, sleep rooms, and reviewed the upcoming renovations.

Resort Fee = INJUSTICE!!! I pay close to 2k for a room and they want to add on $30 per day for a resort fee? I already booked the room. Biggest scam in America right now is resort fees. Don't worry. I will make sure I do the equivalent in damages to Marriott properties.

Customer service is great. Rooms have amazing views and some updated features. The beds are mildly comfortable. Rooms are spacious. The pool was fun and the food was amazing poolside. DO NOT go to the breakfast buffet...

Deceiving description.
We booked a premium, balcony, ocean view room. We got a room that looked directly at all the other hotels across the way. Front desk and manager said "It was a view from the balcony"
What a scam. An employee of Marriott said " happens all the time" . Several guests complain about the "ocean view" description. On check out, another guest wanted to talk to manager. Her complaint was the same as mine. If this is the only way Marriott can fill their rooms.... shame on them

Parking lot could be better equipped. Bathroom is outdated.

It is important that the people who attend know other languages we are Spanish speaking and communication has been very difficult

Recently stayed at this Marriott for the first time -- have been to many hotels in Waikiki and was very happy with this property. Though it is across the street from the beach, it has easy access. There is also a fabulous sushi restaurant, Sansei, on property. Ocean views are excellent as are mountain views. Employees are accommodating and helpful, housekeeping staff is excellent.

Excellent check-in: larger room upgrade and more drink coupons for no extra charge. (Room was available and when I mentioned we had a larger room previously agent gave us an upgrade. Resort is increasing so we got the more of the old coupons.) Maintenance was able to quickly fix a shower issue once reported. Would stay here again.

Great staff, valet, excellent location definitely, elevators always busy

Upgraded for a fee using SPG American Express. Room 2361. The sound of the elevators and the noisy equipment are also old. The door of the unit bus is not damaged and drainage is bad. It was a 2 bedroom affirmation, but it is also against ... It was said that the pillow was hard to sleep if it was said in the house. There is no use here.

The drinks are wonderful, cocktails and others . I recommend it

Located in Waikiki, close to the beach, shopping, Diamond Head and the zoo. Easily accessible and has parking available for a fee.

Location is right across from Waikiki beach. My room is ocean facing with a nice view of the beach. The staff is pleasant and friendly. The room has a nice balcony for my morning cup of coffee. It's a big hotel where it's easy to get lost but good choice of restaurants and bars.
