with such high expense, I found that W Hotel's service is very disappointed and overrated. If you plan to have Xmas party or New Year final countdown, I will strongly NOT recommend this hotel because they have unacceptable rule and bad service "attitude". Why spend much money to make yourself unhappy while there are many other choices around that area?

Nice hotel w excellent buffet breakfast. The hotel however is starting to show its age as shown by some furniture and electronics in the bedroom.
The hotel is renowned for its young and vibrant atmosphere. Its young staff force also means speedy check-in, responsiveness to guests needs.
Of course, very few hotels are able to beat this one when it comes to convenience and proximity to CBD and shopping. In fact, you can literally step into a huge department store from the hotel lobby.

On 12/12/2020, a wedding banquet will be held in the Qili Hall on the 8th floor. I stayed in the extraordinary suite the night before. The room is very comfortable and soundproofed. When using room service, I can feel the professionalism and enthusiasm of the W service staff! Yoyo, the little butler on the wedding day, was very attentive and caring. He really took care of me in every possible way. He always cared about whether I was thirsty, hungry, pain in my feet, etc. It s nice to have you Thank you Tina, who is in charge of the catering. The speed of the dishes and the activities are well matched. Finally, I would like to thank Eva Chen for communicating with us in detail, listening to our needs and giving us professional advice to complete this successful wedding, thank you! !
Loved the room and amenities, clean and modern per usual W standards. Hotel is located in Xinyi District, which is more business-y and with big shiny department stores, and close to the 101, but not as close to other major tourist-friendly areas. Room cleaning was great on a daily basis, check-in was professional. If you don't want to be close to the hustle and bustle, W is a great choice.
The lobby is casual and the staff is not in a well-appointed atmosphere with a T-shirt.
However, the rooms were large and stylish, and the quality of bedding and furnishings was good and comfortable.
Fantastic guest services but unfortunately the Hotel was overwhelmed with family with kids. The pool was pretty much useless and the choice of drinks offered at the lounge was limited. Platinum guest, avoid at all cost.

Visited Tapei in November for a few days. Check-in was not great, however Karen came into the picture and made it all good. Contemporary hotel located in a very convenient location to shops and restaurants.

For the buffet there was no King Crab as advertised and the shrip still had sand in it.
