Located in the heart of Taipei, W is Taipei's most famous luxury modern hotel. It is young and energetic, suitable for young people, and the transportation is very convenient. The swimming pool next to the bar is really great.
The seven-star high-end hotel is a favorite of international tourists. The service staff is very attentive and opens the door to carry luggage.
Woo bar is super. The atmosphere is great. And the drinks are gonna blow u away. Kinda expensive though
Anyway, I have been to 30+ countries, visited countless cities, and stayed in various restaurants. We are often confined by the collective consciousness of the society, we wear the cloak of traditional norms and live carefully outside, but often ignore the closest people around us. As a Taiwanese, I have always ignored the beauty of Taiwan. (Well, it s a bit wrong.)
When traveling and on business, I often stay in hotels under the Marriott International Group. When Taipei had W Taipei, I always wanted to move in, but I had no chance. (Because I live in Taipei)
I often feel that Taiwanese restaurants are too expensive and it is better to travel abroad in Taiwan. This year, due to the epidemic situation, I couldn't go abroad, so I decided to go to W Taipei on my girlfriend's birthday (11/22). Give your girlfriend (and yourself) a gift. Living in W Taipei, in my opinion, you must live in a room that can see 101. There is a price difference, but I personally think it is worth it. Once I open the door and see 101 outside the window, I will completely forget the price difference^^, let alone lying in bed and watching the night view of 101. I am very grateful to Angel of W Taipei Loyalty Team for preparing birthday cakes and cards.
I am not spoiled for many details about staying at W Taipei this time. Let everyone find out for themselves. I can only say that I am very satisfied.
As for the area I hope to improve, the lounge chairs in the swimming pool should be kept clean. I can smell uncomfortable smells when I lie on them. In addition, during the breakfast buffet during the epidemic, the requirement for guests to wear masks when taking meals was not considered persuasive.
In conclusion: W Taipei 101 Viewing Room is worth living.
Everything about my stay was perfect... friendly staff, clean rooms, amenities and location. I wanted to see a concert at a small venue and the tickets were only sold at a kiosk in 7-eleven. The concierge took care of this for me. Definitely went above and beyond.

ROOM
We were upgraded to a fabulous suite which was incredible as we were celebrating our anniversary. Karen Chan and the entire check-in staff were all very helpful. Our room was not ready when we arrived but they offered us a drink in the restaurant and alerted us when it was ready. The room was very well appointed, spotless, new and very spacious. I was incredibly happy with the room and the room experience. 5/5
FOOD/DRINK
We had drinks at the roof top bar as well as in the lounge and had breakfast in the restaurant. The drinks were all very tasty and well prepared and presented. As a platinum guest, I received free alcoholic drinks for a set period of time (not everything was available) which was an amazing perk. They also provided free tea and coffee throughout the day (any espresso based drink - cold or hot). This was a wonderful perk and a big benefit to fight the jet lag. The food was all very tasty, while we only had snacks the bar (get the French fries with truffle parmigiana!) and breakfast, it was all very tasty. Breakfast had a huge selection of cuisines and a range of healthy options (and less healthy but tastier options). 5/5
SERVICE
This is probably the best service I have had at a SPG/Marriot hotel. The speed with which they attended to your requests, cleared plates, asked if you needed another drink was almost frightening. We were joking that they were hiding under the table to clear our plates. Everyone was very pleasant and offered to help whenever we needed it. Well done. 5/5
OVERALL
Previously, my favorite SPG property was the Nines in Portland however this has bumped that to #2. I would highly recommend staying at the W Taipei. They treat you well, the rooms are great and the food and drink are very good. Thank you for a great stay.
