Mega super! Just don't fall for the so-called won holiday trip etc

Spend a long weekend with friends in Viva Wyndham Palace. Great place to be. 10 Restaurants - too much for 4 days. Buffet was perfect, food delicious and all Bartenders very friendly.
Get pampered 24h! We booked an excursion, direct in the hotel and had a nice time with Vanessa., she has shown us beautiful beaches and this small village, Mano Juan. Impressive. Very sure we will be back soon. Another reason for this place: Bayahibe has no problems with seaweed, like Punta Cana.

Excellent environment, international cuisine, beach with sunbeds kept very well. Very beautiful water. Friendly staff but a little slow. Overall good location

Viva Wyndham azteca in mexico is 100x better ... standard does not equal standard! Dom Rep not really recommended

Very bad service, bad standard in rooms , equipment missing, wc does not work, smell of mould and noisy in the room . Bad food and many sick stomachs, etc

We have just returned from a wonderful week spent with the family, from December 17 to 24, 2016. After consultation with the 14 members of the group (between 15 years old and 74 years old), we give the rating of 8/10 to this hotel complex (which includes the Dominicus Beach and the Dominicus Palace)

We appreciated :
The value for money (reservation made in June)
Theme restaurants (even if the reservation is extraordinarily complex!)

There is always a free sunbed, when the hotel was almost full, and even if some selfish people can't help booking their sunbeds in the early hours of the day.
Good quality of meals; there were qq new things every day.
No overflow with alcohol despite the "all inclusive".
Spacious rooms (we were in the Dominicus Palace section), with a bed over 2m wide.

Clientele mainly European and in particular French and Italian.
Very good quality evening shows

We regretted:
Despite the presence of many Francophones, the staff spoke hardly any French, or even English.
Staff are not always very smiley
Wifi of disastrous quality, including in "wifi points"
The very complex and very long reservation system for themed restaurants (it took us 1h45 !! to try to reserve 2 tables of 7 people in 4 restaurants). Moreover, these restaurants are advertised as full, even though they are empty !!! The reservation process must absolutely be simplified.
Restaurants are poorly suited to groups (difficulty in finding or setting up a table of 8 or more people).
a sweet snack would have been welcome around 4 p.m.,
Services at exorbitant prices 90 a 1 hour massage, 60 per week for wifi (outside the free zones), 2 / day for the safe
1 single French TV channel (tv5 monde)!
Unnecessary savings on orange juice, or on PQ for example, which were of poor quality

The place is very nice and well maintained. The staff can deal with very friendly and helpful people as well as others who do not provide good service. The food is generally varied but only of acceptable quality and the thematic dining rooms have inferior proposals to the buffets. There are no services, for example they do not give shampoo or bathing caps. The beaches are great.

Learn to tango? Activities at both Wyndham resorts are many and fun, not to mention at the palace things are a bit less crowded I think. I would have loved if they had these activities at the main part but I didn't see them there.

A beautiful area, great beaches.
Only the many German in the morning at 7 already the beach chairs and shady places with towels reserve and until noon are not seen .... But typically German.
Who is not there for more than 2 hours, whose towels should collect the hotel ...

Super nice staff, good food and a great garden area.

Edilicio 100 points, waitresses 40 points (1 day they did not make room and the next one delivered the towels at 7 PM, service at the bars 20 points, attend the timeshare and the premiums well at the rest they give fourth drinks, buffet food regular and repetitive, second experience in that hotel leaves nothing to be desired.

It seemed a more exclusive service than the Dominican beach. The truth looked cleaner, more complete and with more space. Although I do not experience it. I perceived him as a travel agent

The beach, the hotel, the services and the staff are exceptional.

Fantastic to say the least, I recommend it for honeymooners, or between couples, you are pampered from morning to evening, excellent and abundant food, for all the palates of the world. Staff always friendly and smiling and cleaning to say the least maniacal, I recommend it for all those who want to experience the Caribbean feeling even a little at home! Highly recommended!

Great food and good fun village Sea and beautiful secured

4 stars and because I am really demanding .. if not quietly .. it would be a 5 for most. Things to improve: drinks .. in general .. I like to drink soda and .. the Coca-Cola from the buffets leaves a lot to be desired (machine) .. in special restaurants they serve as a bottle .. not at all. The food is a 7, it can be improved but in general it is good. Alcohol is fine and not much more than that, do not think that it will be first line ... because it is not, but there is Fernet branca.
On the other hand, it was quite difficult for me to find something that I really like or made me want to eat .. the desserts .. weak .. like any free fork in Argentina.
Strong points ... pasta, pork ... and when they rarely do anything on the grill. Another thing .. is that the beach has a lot of stones .. corals .. but being a really VERY large hotel with lots of beach .. it is just a matter of looking for a good place. Another thing ... the issue of getting change, something that is not possible inside the hotel, they recommend an exchange house in front of the beach entrance, where they treat you with good vibes but control the tickets ... they gave me one they didn't want to drink ... and then when they come back they change it but at a lower value.
Points in favor .. people .. obviously some may have a bad day but the truth is that the employees in general are super attentive .. how did I say .. exceptions are everywhere.
The room that I got (palace 6000) are relatively modern ... with a view of the garden and no humidity issues ... the cleaning is good and I estimate that it will depend on the employee ... which in our case was Wendy and she was macanuda.
The views are beautiful .. walking from end to end of the hotel takes about 15 min (in vacation mode) and it is a daily walk that is worth it.
It is true that the prices of the stores are a bit inflated .. twice capable .. but if you come to such a place .. I reckon that should not be a problem.
The animation and its staff are very cool .. night shows are every night .. I'm not really into seeing them but I know people are very cool.
In short .. I would go back .. with the subject of food I settled down .. I recommend the excursion to Saona Island that the hotel does at the cost of u $ s55 .. it is the right time for everything .. and the guides are excellent ..
If it is your first time in the republic .. arm yourself with patience .. the vendors can be quite intense .. (only those of the public silver, fair that visits the hotel every 15 days or those that are in Saona) .. the truth is that they depend on selling and you have to understand them .. they will never tell you a price before paying .. and the haggling starts haha.

Tip, get change for $ 1 Sometimes a tip can make a big difference!

Beautiful hotel. The staff is of an excellent human quality, they always take care that one is entertained and comfortable within the facilities.

The buffet is of average quality, but the drinks at the main pool bar are excellent.

The partners' rooms are extremely spacious and beautiful, with many amenities.

I recommend getting up early, go to the main pool of Dominicus Palace and have a cappuccino!

Great place for family vacation, good food, and very clean, excellent atmosphere

Very nice big hotel. The hotel guests can also use the hotel next to them because they belong together. Very nice staff. Direct beach location. Many small restaurants in the area which are all inclusive. Program is taken care of. Nice well-kept area.

Terrible service. I had problems since I came in and to get the room. We are 10 of family and reserve in a restaurant and I had to beg for a single table. They do not replenish drinks from the bar fridge and in general it's service is bad

Nice resort, the mini club at the Palace is better than the beach. Otherwise there are a lot of people, so a lot of waiting to recover drinks at bars. Beautiful sea views

No respect for guests, loud music that does not allow to rest that is heard in the rooms until after 24 hrs. It is very good that there is music but in the disco, not in the common area that is heard throughout the hotel.

the village is a single body but developed in three areas .... palace (area on the left more reserved and less crowded, beach (central area is the heart of the village and much more crowded)) French (area mostly populated by people from France less beautiful in the beach area because it is rocky)

Good hotel for weekend getaways and extended stays. Great variety in water sports included. Score especially for the good balance in price / quality.

Excellent everything! So much to be quiet or have fun all day, with the staf of their animators, the only thing that would add, would be that there were, ways of moving, within the complex. For the size of the Hotel.

Beautiful hotel with a huge large and well-kept gardens. A pond with turtles and at the other pond live the flamingos. Gekos and crabs are also at home here. Jacuzzi, swimming pool, Rastas, massages, gym, palms where the eye can see, white beach and turquoise water like a picture book, what more could you ask for? I am fascinated by this beautiful landscape, the food is fantastic, a culinary delight for every taste is something. The poolside entertainment is fun and creative. That's how I imagine the Caribbean. The people are super friendly and totally relaxed. The weather (though hurricane season) was gorgeous, we had half a day of cloudy weather over the 12 days, a short rain shower from time to time that is like a blessing at 30-35 degrees.

An unforgettable holiday I hope to return sooner or later

Great facility, phenomenal beach, short ways. Staff at 30% nice, but only if you speak a few words Spanish. Room so-so. Food very good and varied. Alamo / National spot.

The best the beach the water full Caribbean sea. The island Saona, a beauty the animators the return on the catamaran at sunset with music dancing a real party. The gardens like Caribbean vegetation and very cute flowers. The rooms lack maintenance.Internet bad, the juices (full Caribbean) and are artificial.

The hotel is very nice, excellent! The staff should be friendlier.
The seller of the Coco Bongo Ticket inside the hotel (Alexander) deceives the customers, he personally told me that the price of the ticket included 2 gifts (Coco Bongo merchandising) and he never gave them to me, he would hide when he saw me and never showed his face. Swindler
