It looks like art and inside there is more art. Again and again they come up with something new, they can touch art (usually it is art to sit), but you can also paint, make things, play with. Is not a simple museum like some others and you get in for free (unless you want to do a tour that costs what but it lasts) only to be recommended, even for kids

Interesting show room/gallery /museum. Has a very nice restaurant, where you "test" one style of the chairs that are sold there as well. Can be visited with children as they have an area where they can play.

For design fans certainly a must. But also visitors, who had to do with the topics design and interior design so far only marginally (like me) come in the Vitra at their expense. There is something to discover More

You could compare the furniture with that from IKEA, only that you pay 600 for a plastic chair. If someone likes the IKEA things and has too much money, then first of all to vitra Design Museum

The museum is definitely worth it! Just the mood there with all the buildings is awesome. Be sure to visit a tour. Knowing that and the stories come out so much better. The visit is also worthwhile with young people.
The shop is well sorted and has everything you would expect.

Unfortunately I am not so enthusiastic about the Vitra furniture. However, if you like this style, you should definitely visit this museum. In the showroom you can also find very, very old furniture sorted by decades.

The vitra design museum is an interesting and multifaceted place for design and sociology. There we find temporary exhibitions, the EAMES estate and a comprehensive exhibition of seating.

The design of the Vitra house is beautiful and contemporary at the same time and it is a great experience to have a look at all of the Vitra home collections. The whole Vitra Design Museum is designed to be viewed at a architectural perspective and it is a wonderful place to visit if you are an architecture + design fan.

A great museum for people looking for something special in their home furnishings. Certainly not for the small budget, but worth seeing in any case. Very nice staff and a stunning architecture.

Great campus where you can experience the products, furniture and various designs of VITRA. In addition, the museum offers a fine restaurant with a variety of delicious food and drinks. Parking is free at the entrance possible. Highlight with children is certainly the slide tower, which was closed during our visit. A guided tour of the museum should be great.

It was the best place to travel to Europe. The way to get there is to take a tram from Basel station and get off the bus somewhere, but I do not remember well ^^; If you do not know how to get there, ask those around you. It is kindly informed.

I heard that different architects were built for each building. You can also see buildings with distinctive, unconventional appearance, and you can see several furniture and chronologies. It was a rare experience to go here.

An absolute must for every design lover. I visited the museum a few weeks ago when Eames was on display and was able to take the Eames Lounge Chair in my dream armchair.
Very large exhibition spread over several buildings. You can easily spend the whole day there and get a lot of impressions.
In the building designed by the architects Herzog & de Meuron, is an exhibition of chairs dating back to the 18th century with only originals.

Similarly, the shop is worth a visit and you will definitely find something.

Stunning this architecture. Be sure to take a tour of the factory premises. Incredible how many well-known architects have immortalized themselves here with a building. The exhibition in the main building is free. You can take suggestions and try the chairs and loungers. All around succeeded. Also, the cafe invites you to take a break.
