One of the buildings that explain why architects visit the Vitra Campus. Early example of Gehry design style and concepts, recently repainted.

Just to see the concentration of works by famous architects it is worth going
A very rich and original site to visit for design enthusiasts.
A nice place to relax and architecturally definitely worth a look.
There are many corners and angles to explore and great things to explore from the chair to the table and history about the Vitra company
The VitraHaus is neat. As is the museum installation that details how the famous fiberglass chairs are made. It is out of the way.
Beautiful museum and design academy near Basel in Weil am Rhein
Honestly to my mind if the building is interesting by design the expos remain airtight and confusing
Is really only for designers or architecture fanatics. The topic was "Together!" that showed the way of living together. Very boring. Terrain is very interesting and large.
Beautiful place.
Been there so often and always happy to come back. Museum, coffee and the Vitra Haus are wonderful places. There is always something new to discover
There is a furniture museum and a building museum, and there is a free slide behind the parking lot. There is a gas station and Lewis nearby without paying the parking fee.
a very interesting Design Museum, I recommend taking the combi ticket, in the sense of visiting both the Museum, Schaudepot and absolutely the tour with the guide, to get an explanation of the history and every detail of the Museum that otherwise would have escaped us. For the necessary time it takes all opening hours, currently from 12 to 17, but if normal hours resume, they can be used for an all day visit. Just to know, you can also eat, take a coffee break, and there is also free parking.
It feels like all modern design traces it's roots to 20th century industrial design, and this place is a shrine. You night not know the names but you'll still recognize the pieces, and you will know many of the architects who have contributed to the space. At the very least the main building is a lustworthy assemblage of Vitra's catalogue, and institution m inspiration for how to spend a lottery winnings.
Anyone interested in interior design is in the right place here. An informative and very well designed exhibition in an architecturally outstanding building, which may well convey inspiring moments to the visitor.
You should have seen it.
Architectural. Top
And great furniture
Interesting exhibition in a park-like setting. Highly recommended.
Very interesting museum with many buildings by very famous architects from all over the world. Really highly recommended in the context of a tour lasting about two hours.
I can recommend this place for everyone who likes design.
Beautiful exhibition of design and history of the chair ..
Simply an experience again and again. Super stylish place, inspiring and pleasant. Never seems out of date.
The service in the bistro is unfortunately extremely bad. There you wait 5 minutes until you can order, then you wait 10 minutes for the cake and another 5 minutes for the coffee. And even paying takes an eternity.
Brutal The mecca of furniture design. The complex has buildings by star architects and some very good ones.
Every year I visit the Vitra Design Museum 1-2 times and I enjoy the new exhibitions & inputs & inspirations. The events are very cool and there is something for every taste. I Vitra
There are many beautiful buildings and chairs. I recommend
It's great to have a clear sun and a sunny Sunday day here.
I was impressed that the museum was not only presenting own designs, it rather seems they have art and design topics which vary from time to time and may be independent.
Cult. We have been there 3 times. Always nice, classics and those that will be safe once.
Only from the outside breathtaking architecture, inside exciting exhibition, presented very vividly. And: real Italian coffee enjoyment!
An interesting place with impressive buildings. There are also changing exhibitions that are quite varied. It's always worth it!
Great place to have a great day. Amazing breakfast and coffee place. Beautiful open exhibition in the main house and a great architectural tour. Enjoy!
Anyone interested in architecture is in good hands here.
Very nice! Yes you can visit all the facilities alone (for free from the outside with a ticket for exhibitions to see inside) or with a guided tour.
Great architectures frame and enhance some of the most representative industrial furniture products of the last century. Unmissable!
If you are interested in good contemporary chairs and furniture ideas this place is really excellent
Amazing design and quality furniture from star system architects
An exceptional museum, a milestone for those who love design.
The design museum hosts a temporary exhibition on disco design and experience. This not a design museum, nor a vitra design one. Staff does not inform visitors of the waste of time and money in paying the ticket!
You can find a very dry timeline of vitra design in the furniture sales building, admittance free of charge.
The shop and the various buildings from architects Ghery and Hadid are interesting, as well as the depot. Very interesting the atelier of Eames in the basement of the depot, which is accessible free of charge from the toilet area in front of the depot cafeteria.
The depot itself is an interesting collection of design items, which deserved some more details and information panels.
Campus invites you for a walk without compulsory consumption, great furniture ideas of course also want to be discovered and it's worth it
Had a fantastic tour with a Dutch guide, who knew a lot and told her story with great pleasure.
During your so-called visit you can always discover new things and meet old 'acquaintances';)
A very interesting facility. You can spend a day well.
It's a great spot for furniture lovers and architecture lovers.
We recommend taking a construction tour. You can see the architecture of famous architects such as the SANNA factory.
I really liked the objects/buildings on the Vitra Campus, and the surrealist exhibition was fab
After I found the museum in a travel guide and it was actually very much hyped on the Internet, it was on our "must seen" list. It's quite interesting, but from my point of view not worth the high price and an exclusive marketing platform for Vitra. Unfortunately there are hardly any exhibits and you have actually seen everything within 30 minutes. 11 euros are really too much for that!
My tip too: You can save the 6 euros extra for the viewing depot.
And when you're in Munich, take a look at the Pinakothek der Moderne.
Must see place for students of design and anybody with a passing intetest in style.
Must go. Architecture is phenomenal, what a great place for those pasionate about design.
Love this place. The must see for architecture and design lovers!
Must see for fans of design, entry a little expensive.
Such a great experience
I m sure coming back soon again
Opening to past and present design. Very interesting expo of Balkrishna Doshi.
Much Much Much ...
Not for smaller children, although you can try everything
Nice interior and exterior design and nice exhibitions
For everyone... If you love good design this is place you have to visit, but if you dont love good design this is good place to start falling in love with it...
Nice design museum about decor and interior in a beautiful building
Vitra should be familiar to anyone with an interest in design. So basically a sales exhibition but at a very high level. Even the composition of the buildings and the spacious outdoor area invite to a relaxed stay. A walk through the beautifully designed exhibition rooms completes the day.
What you definitely should not miss, are the dishes in the small museum restaurant. I indulged in a Pollo Fino and was way off the high quality of the food. Noteworthy.
I didn't understand the museum. If you have no relation to the artists, rather meaningless and expensive (9 for students)
I had been waiting for years to visit him and he met expectations. On arrival you are greeted by the Vitra house, a splendid building by Herzog & de Meuron and a garden full of Vitra chairs, thrown in there as it happens. I must say that despite having seen a thousand times photographed, Vitra House is beautiful, and get lost in the infinite spaces is pleasant. Here you will meet the history of contemporary architecture, pavilions and buildings of the largest, Tadao Ando, Ghery, Zaha Hadid, Siza, Piano ... and others. Some enchant you with their volumetries, others for their industrial rationality, someone will make you play. You will spend pleasant hours. Visit the depot with the history of seating design. Impossible to leave without buying a piece of design history.
Very cool. Great inspiration. Just fun if you are interested in design.
