Loved this place, we spent 6 (!) hours here. The architectural tours are fantastic. Really impressive how they managed to put all these buildings together without one outshining the other.

A very interesting place of inspiration.

A very interesting place of inspiration.
B. Doshi's thoughts about living, living, living together (temporary exhibition) are profound. The service in all other buildings, shops and presentations was extremely accommodating.
Definitely worth a visit.

We were there a quarter of an hour before the tour and bought the tickets for a tour in the Vitra House - perfect timing for the tour 11.00h. Our guide, whose name I unfortunately forgot, was very sympathetic and competent. The 2 hours tour of the factory premises went by quickly and was very impressive. Even if you are not an architect or a builder.
The Vitrahaus is an eye-catcher, but the content (home furnishings) is not special, more like in the furniture store. On the negative side, I find the gigantic surface seal on the Vitra company site - not very ecological. Insofar not very modern!

Definitely an unmissable place for design lovers. Not only for the museum part but also because the whole park is dotted with buildings built by great architects from Gehry to Hadid to Herzog to Alvaro siza and Tadao Ando.

Definitely worth a visit.
If you do not want to pay admission you can just look at the main building and the grounds. That still takes a lot of time and is also very nice.

Vitra Design Museum is one of the most important museum of its kind in the world. The visitor is often shocked by exhibits regarding the sometimes surprising, brave, new form. You can see many exhibits of furniture, clothing, etc., with surprising and interesting design and construction solutions.

Just impressive! The guidance over the area is absolutely recommendable! Absolutely join in, you get wonderful impressions. The exhibition building with various Vitra products is also a great experience. The Design Museum should be on every holiday program in the region!

Successful overall ensemble. We stayed there all day. The architecture tour is recommended for architecture lovers. There are some architectural gems on the otherwise inaccessible company premises. Our guide was a knowledgeable, older gentleman who knew very well. The special exhibition in the Design Museum about alternative forms of living together was very inspiring. The only thing missing is a well-designed bike parking lot for people arriving by bike.

It's a great upmarket IKEA. With design and function bought at a much higher price. Modern furniture displayed with great attention to detail. It feels like it shouldn't be located in a place that feels like an industrial estate. But well worth going out of your way if you're in the region.

Always away from the everyday norm. Those who want to enjoy creativity, who are looking for artistry in their products and want to leave mass consumption behind them are in good hands at the Vitra-Haus in Weil am Rhein. But beware: check the contents of the wallet before buying. Here the good has its price.

If you like architecture and design, this is the place for you. The exhibitions in the museum are not always the best, but the location and the Vitra furniture exhibition are always worthwhile. And there is a good restaurant on site where you can fortify yourself when you are on your way in or out of Switzerland.

Awesome

Architecturally very modern. DESIGNED.
Furniture and light museum in a striking white building by architect Frank Gehry, Zaha Hadid,
Schaudepot, Charles and Ray Emes.
There is also a restaurant here.

Frankly a little overrated. Needless to buy the ticket: the most interesting parts are visible from the outside or are still free. If the day is gloomy, then, much of the campus charm is lost. Inside the Vitra Haus (by Herzog & de Meuron) in some spaces it seems to be in a luxury Ikea. More than a "design museum", it seemed like a super spot for the Vitra company and its products

Very disappointing. 20 wasted together: there is nothing to see! Park in the car park, take a walk around the buildings that are interesting, take a coffee break in the cafeteria and that will be enough ...

A foundation that has character with less superfluous and more pedagogy for those who want to understand the history of furniture design and its role in society. All very accessible.

First attracted by the various buildings that are the work of great architects, it is the furniture design that is especially interesting.

There is always something new to discover here. ..Facilities, insights into decorations. Ideas for the interior and get regular inspiration if you can furnish rooms comfortably or romantically or functionally. .. friends of various plants will also find a peaceful oasis in the jungle feeling and if you are lucky and go there early in the morning, you will meet the in-house gardener, who can be recognized by the large green watering can

As always, the Movel exhibition is very inspiring and interesting. Unfortunately the exhibition about Ray and Charles Eams was not as great as advertised. You could almost say that we were disappointed again.
