We come for the buildings, for the exhibition on the chairs, for the vitra house ... What is beautiful! Of the dream...
We regret in the exhibition hall: not a lot of educational concern (hard to follow), a lot of text and not translated into French

Fantastic place for those who like design. The Herzog and de Meuron building is a bright idea for a fourniture show room. And there are other very interesting buildings designed by famous architects (Frank Gehry, Zaha Hadid, Tadao Ando,...).

Currently there was a kind of "comic theme" in the museum
Rather a difficult sense of humor.
We introduced ourselves much more / hoped for.
Some pieces are stored unattainable on shelves behind glass panes.

What a wonderful experience we had here. We enjoyed a sophisticated and tasty lunch in their cafe before venturing to the fascinating museum with its temporary exhibits on communal living. We thoroughly enjoyed an architectural tour of the campus with our knowledgeable, and very funny multi-lingual guide. We rounded out our full-afternoon visit with a tour of the furnishings showrooms which are as much a museum to thoughtful design as a commercial place. I highly recommend a visit for anyone who is interested in design, architecture and good food.

Always a nice experience! We visit the Vitra house mostly with guests of the family who have heard of it but do not know anything about it. The spectacular main house always looks better than the other buildings.

This is quite a unique place. I am not a fan of contemporary design but this museum almost made me a convert. The arrangements were quite appealing and presented good ideas with respect to the use of space and the synergy of the pieces More

If you are into Architecture with a big A and Design with a big D, this is your spot. It hosts one of the production factories of Swiss fmily owned VITRA Design furniture. One of the family memebers studied Sociology and commissioned directly to young architects jobs for various buildings on the site: a fire station to young Zaha Hadid, buildings to Herzog & De Meuron, the VITRA Conference Pavilion by Tadao Ando, and many more.

We will be back to VITRA Design Museum.
I hope you got something from this review!

Super great architecture and terrain. The Vitra products themselves are already mega - the Design Museum is on the same level here. Great exhibition, great shop on a super spacious area, which invites you to linger.

The museum was not so good in my opinion, but the display depot, in which there were a lot of Vitra chairs, was very interesting.
The "additional exhibition" in my case "Hello, Robot" was also not what I hoped for from the exhibition.
If you are interested in architecture and design you can have a look at it but I wouldn't go back.
In addition, the prices are too high for what is offered.

Take a look once, but a second time I wouldn't go there.
