Very bad attention and an all-inclusive very little varied

The Villa 106-2 is too small it's like a regular hotel room

We stayed in a villa and enjoyed our stay of 4 nights. We were without water for a few hours 2 of the days because they were fixing a pipe but it didn't affect us because we were at the beach or the pool.

Well, it gives the feeling of many rules and I didn't like the sales of partners.

Excellent attention. Very good facilities. A beautiful scenario given by nature to our delight.

An excellent hotel price vs quality, with a beautiful enviable beach view. We rent a condominium with the all-inclusive system, simply amazing. Recommended if you like to enjoy the sunset from "above"

Parking is limited. The view of the room he did not touch is beautiful, overlooking the sea. The room is beautiful and very well equipped, also in excellent condition and with good finishes.
The pools were not clean, the water looked murky, full of kids and we did not use them in 7 days that lasted our stay. The quality of alcohol in beverages is bad. The food, some days were very good, others had terrible presentation and taste, we believe depends on the chef in charge of the kitchen. The service of the staff was excellent, they are very attentive. It is a hotel to go with children, not fit to rest from the noise or if you go as a couple as families arrive at the pool at 7:30 am and start screaming without respect for others and the pool continues with the scandal until 10pm. We would not return.

Nice clean rooms. Friendly service. Food was decent.

The negatives: Room smelled like mildew. No water pressure. Lots of little bugs in the room. Food was very sub-par. No beach access from the resort. Lots of high pressure sales to go on one of the daily outings/excursions. Small pool was not good - nobody ever used it for fear they might catch something. TV in the room was a 15 year old model and 20" and worked intermitently. Not within walking distance of anything. Missing shingles on the roof.
The positives: staff was polite. Large pool was nice. Views were great. A/C in the room worked. Lots of wildlife (including tons of ferrel kittens) roaming around.
Wasn't quite what we expected. Coco Beach was scary and without booking outside transportation ( which they strongly advised us not to due to scammers) you get stranded there for 4 hours.
Wasn't our best vacation...

Where do I start. I will keep it brief. If you are accustomed to decent accommodations you will be disappointed. Trust me. It is NOT, NOT NOT a 4 star resort, probably more like a 2. Stay away!!!. UNETHICAL MANAGEMENT. IM STILL WAITING ON SOMEONE TO RETURN MY CALLS OR EMAILS. LIARS HAVE TO DUCK AND COVER. The staff are good hard working nice people, however the management sucks. View is beautiful if you are not stuck in one of the tombs on the hills they call rooms. We were switched out bc we complained and they were trying to sell us their vacation package. Sadly we bought and realized it was all based on a lie. Got home to learn that the cash exchange feature was the biggest bold faced lie. Long story.... They are a bunch of liars and what's worse they don't have the ethics to have a conversation when confronted. Food is mediocre at best nothing special. Facilities need upgrading seriously. Spend your money elsewhere. Lots of other beautiful places .

The Hotel itself is nice with very comforting rooms, it has transportation, access to the beautiful beach, 2 swimming pools (100% chlorine), a jacuzzi (if you can call it that!) And no free WiFi! true that it is not More

This is a beautiful property. It's located close to the beach. Our party rented three villas. The villas are equipped with a full kitchen. We cooked. We dined at a few of the local restaurants along the beach (not affiliated with the resort). Customer service was excellent throughout the entire resort. We didn't purchase the $65/day all-inclusive bracelets and chose to just put a certain amount on it for use at our leisure since we prefer a full cultural experience. The breakfast buffet at the main resort restaurant was good. The small poolside bar was decent for drinks, but the food was not that great. It offered a variety of cut fruit. It's an excellent selection for those seeking a boutique alternative from the usual big name resort properties.

Good food clean environment, a good place to relax and enjoy

My family and I stayed at the resort, very clean and fully equipped, the only issued we had was at the arriving time, they told us that checking was at 1pm, we show up little after 1, once at the checking desk we were told that the villa wasn't ready and that we have to wait until 4pm to be checked in, that was very upsetting. Other than that we had a great time.

Had a nice experience in the hotel and got to travel to many different spots. The only thing I didn't like was the sales, they initially told it was for 120min but ended up being a 4 hour project.

When I go to the beach I like to have a kayak time ... it gives that extra to me that is important. Before booking in this place I asked if they had kayak available in the all inclusive I was told yes, so I booked ...
I arrive ... they tell me then that the kayak is only one hour available from 3 to 4pm that I have to sign up one day in advance and that if there is rain, rain or wind is suspended ... Well a bit disappointed but everything all right.
The day of the activity we arrived at the beach as they had indicated ... a beautiful sun. We waited a little over half an hour. We asked the guard, the lifeguard and simply the person in charge of the activity did not go down because he did not want to and said nothing to anyone, we went to reception to complain and nothing .... super unattended. The client is worth little or nothing. Lots of lines in the food .. Zero entertainment .... better put together a little more money and go elsewhere

I like this place for the service, the food, the comfort in the rooms, the swimming pools, the transfer of hotel to the beach and vise

We totally enjoyed this resort!! Great food, great scenery, amazing beaches and wonderful staff!

BUT!!! I'm left with a very sour experience! When you arrive they swipe your credit card for a $300 hold for deposit on your room....they supposedly remove it when you check out. We checked out I said you removed the hold and he said yes. The other couple we were with had this process done differnetly, they had their card imprinted with the old style paper signature, and it was disposed of when they checked out. The next day when we got home I checked my transaction an they clearly charged me $300 US on my card which is $403.80 Canadian, it's clearly a charge....holds do not show on your statement. I've since called down to the resort several times, they keep telling me it's my bank,but clearly it's an error on the person taking the hold off of my card. I've emailed the resort as well with no response. This is a large sum of money that is not theirs!! I just want them to refund my card...they do NOT want to deal with this issue. The amount is still on my card and has not been refunded.

I've since emailed West jet Vacations to tell them my issue and my credit card company will handle it from here as they are calling it FRAUD!!!

Great views with a reasonable price. No surf though!

It is one of the best resorts there can be.
Of course, it is not very profitable if you don't have much money.
But it's cute, safe and nice.

It is a ok to have a family vacation, but not a 4 star all inclusive. It is more like a 2 star. I would not come back.

The villas are spacious, well-maintained, although the kitchen furniture (very well equipped) ask for a change. Recycling inside the village is non-existent and although they have different dumpsters outside it is clearly not enough and people do not discriminate.
The really bad thing is the food service: variety, food temperature, presentation, flavor, it is really very sad that a place with such a beautiful view has such poor food (at least at lunch).

Loved it here!! We had a room in the hotel on the 2nd floor! The view was INCREDIBLE. We saw the ocean from our balcony. The room was nice with all the necessary amenities. The food was alright (all inclusive option), but I wish the a la Carte restaurant was open more than twice a week. The buffet was good but not great. The view was nice from there and the staff was AMAZING. We really enjoyed socializing with all the employees, they were great. There are monkeys all around the resort and also many animals, it was very nice. We did the sailing tour from the hotel and had the whole boat to ourselves- highly recommend!!

Had a decent time. Freddie at front desk and Ivan at the bar were great. The food was just okay. Not much variety and I couldn't eat most of it. We got in at 10pm due to a delayed flight and there was absolutely nothing to eat. We ended having to go to bed hungry. The next three days the bar was out of most of the ingredients needs for their cocktails. The Pepsi was always flat. Charged 40.00 for a small container of sunscreen. The entertainment was awful. They put out twp sets of connect four and Jenga and called it game night. On the 4th day, the front gate refused to let our taxi through the gate so we had to walk downhill to the outside of the property which was incredibly annoying. The thing that really ruined it for me was check out this morning. The girl was rude and quite frankly put the ball in the coffin for me. I will never recommend this place. I chose because it had decent reviews, but if this is the standard in Costa Rica, I will not be back.

The building was a little old, but the food was delicious and the staff was very accommodating. Costa Rica is a fantastic destination and Villa Sol was a great place to stay. The view of the ocean from the resort was breathtaking.

The resort is nice, very hilly though. Getting around is mainly done through three shuttles that run every 10-15 mins around the resort. The hills are very steep and sometimes you feel like you're going to fall off the shuttle unless you hold on tight. Food options are very limited for an all inclusive. Only 1 main area caked the bahia and the food is mediocre at best. It could definitely be better, not much protein served at each meal and not enough seasoning or taste to the food. Could have some chicken nuggets or French fries as back up for picky eaters or kids. The villas have one bedroom with a queen bed and a sofa bed and apparently every room is like this, so if you're with your brother mom and dad, you're a bit screwed. Hot water is limited, came back from the beach and had barely lukewarm water to shower with, although I'm told the next person had lots. The drains are vey slow as there are bugs everywhere. The bed, the floors, the walls.... all have ants, haven't been bitten by anything yet tho. There isn't any drinking water in the rooms and they don't let you carry out any food to the rooms either. So you have to resort to going to the grocery stores or in emergencies the little mini marts on the resort. A jug of water cost about 7/8 bucks. AMERICAN. For water to keep in the fridge so you can drink at night when you get thirsty or take it in bottles to the beach/sightseeing.

We stayed in a villa, #50. It was very clean and well equipped. It sleeps up to 8 people. The views and sunsets overlooking playa Hermosa are spectacular! There's a shuttle that runs every 15 minutes to take you down to the beach. The pools are a short walk away. I would highly recommend this Villa for your next trip to Costa Rica. We hope to return soon with our friends and family.

The liquors are of the worst quality, then it is an all-inclusive with few choice of drinks

Nice and comfortable rooms with a good price (in some seasons). It does not have a beach in front, however there is a free transport that takes clients to the beach of Condovac that is part of the resort. The beach is not special, there is a lot of mosquito nets so it is recommended to take a repellent. The pool is a decent size but it always goes full. The restaurant leaves a lot to be desired, at least the meals included in the rate. Free parking inside the facilities.
