Food is good, but they are almost always understaffed in the kitchen. This means that there is often a thirty minute wait, even when they are not busy. I have been coming here for years and it is always that way. Today only 1/2 of the kitchen staff showed up on a Saturday morning.

Horrible service. I couldn t do an online order. When I tried to call in the order it was a whole series of recorded information that you cannot bypass. So, I finally went in to order. When I went to pick it up, part of the order was wrong and they re-made only only one portion of pancakes that was a mistake. By then, there was a line of people paying so even that part was not fresh. By that time there were cold eggs, pancakes, and bacon in ALL of the order. Ugh!!! My large coffee (to-go) was barely 2/3 full and I had no butter in the bag with two orders of pancakes. I tried to ask for help of another worker and they said checking my order was someone else s job. The $30 I spent at breakfast would have been better spent at McDonalds (for a fraction of the cost, a full (hot) coffee, and hot food.

I wouldn t recommend this restaurant. There are far better options!

If Randell is there you will reallt enjoy your meal, service & experiance, if Randell isnt there i doubt you will get any service or what you ordered.
Randell is probably the reason this place still runs!
Corporate should really consider promoting him or giving him a bonus.
Without him this village inn may go out of business. What a champ!

Showed up. Tons of people waiting to be seated. No one there to take names on the list. No cashier at the front. 60% tables available but no one there to authorize seating places for anyone. Hardly a server to be seen at the tables that people were seated at. People started writing there own names on the list. Then crossing off their names after 10 minutes and leaving. Never will I step foot in there again.

I called in a to go order and the lady on the phone was pretty nice but after I got there 15-20 minutes later (the time frame they gave me) I had to wait for 5-8 minutes before I was greeted at all. When I was finally greeted, it was by a line cook who seemed to be off duty. He was extremely nice and took better care of me than the other employees who made eye contact with me and walked away. They didn't give any syrup with the pancakes and they left out one of our sides .The food portions looked tiny and all of it tasted old and cold. Overall VERY disappointing. We just wanted some warm food after a long day of traveling.

Really??? Ordered Eggs Benedict, got hard boiled eggs. Their idea of a fix was giving me 2 poached eggs in a side dish bowl. Wth? Then hear the cook screaming in the back ask 'why is this order being made again!!!!!' Really? Why? Because it didn't get done right the first time

My Family went in to eat breakfast today, we ended up being in the restaurant for 2 hours. We were told the wait would be 10 minutes and waited 40 minutes for a seat, with a table of the same size that came after us, was seated ahead of us. Once we were seated, it was an hour before our food was on the table. The food was cold, the manager had a complaint at a table near us, he spent plenty of time dealing with that, but when my husband spoke up and said our food was cold he proceeded to just apologize and walk away. I was more than willing to pay for a part of our meal, but not all. I asked to speak to the manager when I went up to pay and when he came up I began telling him the issues with our meal. He argued with me about how long we had been there, then told me that when we checked in the "guy" who checked us in said it was a table for 2 and then came back to say 5. I asked what guy and he raised his voice at me and said again the guy who checked you in! I said I checked us in and I told you 6 from the beginning. At this point he took the check and said I'll take care of it and just walked away from me. I have been in the service industry for 15 years and have never seen a manager so disrespectful and unwilling to hear concerns from a customer. We will never go back.

Had to ask twice to get water and then sat for a while waiting for a refill. The food was fine. The tomato soup was hot and ready delicious. The grownup grill cheese was ok, barely warm in the center. The chicken fried steak was a generous portion and was tasty. Staff was friendly.

Been there twice in a two week period. The first time my food was cold, my toast was burnt. The second time we were seated immediately, but waited 15 mins before the waiter greeted my table. Then when the waier did show up he greeted the table seated after us first. Needless to say we walked out and went to the waffle house....

Went at midnight after a long flight and canceled accommodations all we wanted was something hot and quick. Maybe two other tables were being used, while the rest sat dirty with old plates on them. The waitress was attentive and friendly. But the manager on duty was horrible, loudly folding silverware the next table over from us she had the whole restaurant to do it in but choose that particular table, while sitting there she took a phone call and played on her phone the whole time. The food was ok, Luke warm on the outside cold on the inside, yummy!

I saw that it closes at midnight during weekdays. Walked in at 11 pm to place an easy to-go order. The waitress was walking around to prepare for closing and didn t acknowledge me. In fact, another couple waiting to be seated left. And I did the same. If the hours advertised say midnight, then what happens here? As a consumer reporter, I m fascinated. Who sets the closing? Corporate or the employees? Highly disappointed.

I give that place 2 stars bcuz they lost their good cooks or something. I spent $40+ there last night buying food for my family and was told it would take about 15 minutes. Nope.... Took only like 10. And when I got to my room 2 blocks walks from the restaurant I discovered that my over easy eggs are more like double over not easy and the taters were apparently cooked 2 hrs prior to me ordering. The only thing that was edible were the pancake's. Really disappointed in the food prep. The service from the cashier was excellent. But the cook should be toasted cuz his cooking is lacking to say the least.

Like the great philosopher Ron Swanson, I also enjoy breakfast food. The Village Inn has great breakfast food and Free Pie Wednesday. This presents a conflict for any free American. Save room for pie or fill up on bacon with other breakfast items as sides? I chose the latter. Hot bacon and other breakfast foods have a warm satisfying enjoyment that is on a timer when it leaves the kitchen. Pie? You can take it with you or come the next Wednesday and start the debate all over again. Leave room for pie or fill up on Bacon?

I would mainly go here to get pie and/ or some coffee. It is usually quiet inside so it would be equally as good of a place to bring your laptop along, compared to a coffee shop. The food and service just isn't as good as other breakfast style restaurants.

I had a bad experience at the Village Inn on Tower Rd, in Denver Colorado. I ordered one of their scramlers and had my eggs burnt at the bottom. The bad thing about it was, the cook that tried to cover it up with my gravy. The second time, they put the wrong gravy on my food. The manager comes out and says he's gonna have them fix it, again for the third time. I still love this village Inn, but some people just got to step up their customer service.

This was the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant! The place was understaffed. The wait to sit down was long even though there were plenty of booths, the service was slow, and the wait for food was long. The lettuce in my salad was brown. Just an awful dining experience....my advice is eat somewhere else! I will never eat at Village Inn again.

Great food, even better service! We were waiting for family to come in to the Denver airport and had to kill time due to a flight delay. We found this little gem and will definitely be back. The food was wonderful and our server Tonya was the BEST! She is friendly, on top of her game and gave us the best service without hovering. Toward the end, we wanted her to stay and chat. I would go back just to see her. Oh, and the pancakes are delicious! Would definitely recommend!

Staff was extremely nice and made sure to take care of us. Food is what you'd expect from this category of restaurants (Perkins, Denny's, millstone, etc) and is reasonably priced. The staff is what made this location stand out, if you're looking for a place to get a bite before your flight, this place will make it right!

Im not a white person, i go in, they sit me down for 30 min. All the white people after me get instant service. I got frustrated watching families eat before me when i was there 30 min before them. Still no one came to take my drink or food order. Dead silence for my whole seating experience. Very racist white washed up in there.

No one greeted us. We stood waiting to be seated for several minutes. We ordered a split plate. Food took forever to come and was not split. Asked for an extra plate that took 5 minutes to come. Bathroom dirty, dirty paper towels covering the floor.

We were never asked if we wanted a booth or table, she just sat us ato a table because all the other booths were dirty. My son and husband used the restroom and said it was filthy. We ordered salads and had to send them back because the lettuce had turned and was slimey. Gross. My husband ordered pancakes and they were extra greasy. Both of our breakfasts were just ok, the quality of the food is not great. There doesn't seem to be any flavoring in their food, very bland and boring, we will not be returning to this Village Inn ever. It appears that Village Inns in general have gone down on the quality. This isn't our only experience at a bad Village Inn. There are two in Aurora that are just as bad.
