Poor staff behavior, old furnished property with nice views. Staff behavior to improve, availability and 5* attitude are completely absent on high-season periods. Standards of a much lower rated property. Definitely not reccomended.

This is the best holiday my family and I have ever had. From arrival the position is breathtaking. The staff are outstanding there is nothing that is impossible for them. The view is amazing. The room was immaculate always. The food was delicious. Lots to chose from and the waiters were so attentive. The outside dining is spectacular. We loved this place and will definitely return

My room was very good with beautiful lake view and hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel lobby is gorgeous and the garden is lovely. I appreciate the hotel staff received me at the train station had gone to the platform to find me when I was worried about how to take my luggage to leave station without a lift. The hotel staff led me to my room was very friendly and professional. The staff of restaurant where I had lunch speaks Chinese was also very friendly. All the hotel staff did job well. I also appreciate the hotel staff drove me to train station who help me on the luggage. I really appreciate their consideration to a guest who traveled alone.Hopefully, I will go back to Stesa next year.

Every aspect of our stay here was First Class. We celebrated our anniversary at an outdoor dining table overlooking gardens and Lake Maggiore. The food and service were impeccable. The following day the hotel set up a private boat tour of 3 Borromean Islands. To cap off the day, we had The Cooking Experience where we got to work with the kitchen staff in preparing dinner. It was a blast!!

Located in a strategic place to take ferries to the islands, close to the mottarone cable car, great view. But essentially very welcoming and excellent services. Recommended.

The environment on the lake is delightful but the rest is not recommended

The hotel is beautifully located. We are here for the second time because we like the special location and the personal atmosphere of the hotel so much. Every wish is easily met and everything is thought out to make the stay as relaxing as possible for the guest. The rooms, which we have received so far, were each time very generously and stylishly furnished, so that we always felt very comfortable around. The next stay is therefore already in planning.

Great hotel excellent staff, excellent especially for ceremonies

I have n't stayed in this hotel. I have had coffee and dissarona. This is a truly magnificient hotel with beautiful gardens, opulent building and wonderfully trained staff. Here nothing is pretentious, the service is genuinely excellent. The hotel is somewhere between Streza and Baveno. Commuting to either town would require car or bicycle (if you dont want to walk the 20 minutes distance to either town). I think one should visit this hotel when one stays in Baveno or in Streza.

Beautiful hotel in the style of a princely villa. The position of the suites overlook Lake Maggiore and its three islands are opposite. The island Bella moves and emerges on the lake like in a paradise. Every detail of the furniture is taken care of according to the style of the era. The refined refinement of the staff is in perfect harmony with the internal environment and the beauty of the garden that surrounds the Palace. At least once in your life it is good to live in this magnificent place. Every left is lost.

A really beautiful and authentic hotel. The stuff is helpful and they solve every inquiry in really short time.
The view from the terrace is very beautiful. In front of the hotel are two island located. Isla superiore and Isla bella. Go there and visit them! It is worth every hour.
The only negativ about the hotel is the walking to the city center. There is no really sidewalk for the first 300m from the hotel.

Hotel 5 stars L. The location is very beautiful. The view also. In front of the Borromean islands. The Spa with the very beautiful cave. The first time I went there the maid service on the floor and the service at the restaurant had me a little disappointed compared to the 5 star luxury. I returned again in July (after a few months) and found everything improved. The quality of the services offered is now truly 5-star luxury. The view and the location always enchanting.

Very good service, delicious cuisine but small portions. With the room price, you could swap the 10 year old TV sets.

The hotel only have around 70rooms, make a little exclusive than the hotels in the center, The J suite is nice with good lake view, staff is friendly and helpful

The level of service and hospitality this hotel provided us was superb. From the moment we arrived to the second we left the staff was extremely helpful, friendly and kind. The hotel itself is stunning, very clean and has a good amount of amenities. The gym has treadmills, ellipticals and two weight machines within a good sized room next to the spa (which we unfortunately we're not able to make use of). Breakfast is amazing with a wide variety of options (including milk alternatives for coffees), and the dinner we had at he restaurant on one of our nights here was sublime. We simply could not have asked for a better experience at Hotel Villa E Palazzo Aminta, which made the entirety of our visit to Lake Maggiore Perfect.

We had the opportunity to spend in the pre New Year period in this beautiful Hotel overlooking Lake Maggiore. On arrival we found a warm atmosphere, all cared for in detail with friendly staff and a fantastic smiling service and present Director. Beautiful atmosphere. We will be back soon.

We spent eight days here on our anniversary. The room was large and spacious with enough storage space. The bathroom is superb. We wanted a lake view room in front of the hotel, but our room was on the side. In fact, when booking we had checked "lake side" which means lake side and not lake side. Meals are served on the terrace in good weather. The buffet breakfast is excellent. We keep a very good memory of this hotel, well located in front of the lake, but a bit out of the ordinary compared to Stresa.

The whole hotel is overloaded with pathos that slightly turns into bad taste. But the rooms are very comfortable with a gorgeous view of the lake. Excellent restaurant with very tasty cuisine. But all the pleasant emotions from the visit crossed the black receptionist when we asked him to call a taxi. From the beginning, he stated that he did not know the taxi numbers, then he offered to take him himself, but on condition that he paid him only in cash. When we asked to write the bill to the number, he suddenly declared that he was very busy and could not go. As a result, he got nasty and pretended that he simply did not hear us. Such behavior is simply unacceptable for any hotel!

Great place, very nice service, good food quality. We came by casually with Motorbikes and still were treated with warm and professional courtesy.

We stayed 3 nights.

Not up to my 5 star experience which should include comfort, hospitality and style.

Room was small. Measured ~ 13x14' = 185 sf. That type of cramped space doesn't equal 5 star accomodations.

The room - "superior double room with park was well decorated. However, I was not expecting to have most of the view taken up by stairs and the domestics cupboard which often had laundry, trays of dirty glasses& bottles on the floor as part of the view. Granted we could see some shrubs at an angle but "park view"?? See photo.

Doorman not available when we arrived at 10:00 pm on Friday. Had to coral front desk clerk with bell who then located bellman.

Internet in lobby was 5-10 mbd (decent speed). Internet in room .02 mbs, practically unusable.

Returned to room on Sunday at 4:00 pm and room was not made up. I had planned on a nap but that idea went down in flames. We left building, took a walk and did not receive an apology. Even better would have been an apology and offer of a drink or some type of way of appeasement for mistake.

No electricity in room if key is not inserted into unusual 10.5mm slot. Thus, cell phone batteries left charging couldn't be charged. Again, doesn't square with my experience in other 5* hotels.

Last night, room too hot. Problem was, if open door then staff walking by disturbed our rest and no privacy.

See towel card. Really? In a 5* hotel I'm supposed to swap a chit for a towel?

On the positive side, the food and food service were excellent. View from the dining room is delightful.

Superb luxury hotel at the edge of Lago Maggiore in Stresa / Italy. Panorama to take your breath away. Private beach, swimming pool. Beautiful lobby and bar with piano. 2 restaurants including one in pergola. Very romantic and magical place and exquisite cuisine. Very nice rooms some with mezzanine. Beautiful terraces. Sauna in cave. Staff very friendly and caring. Large parking. Welcome to '"the hotel of one thousand and one nights"!

Paradise found. Directly facing the lake. Breakfast on sunny terrace facing the lake is heavenly. Staff is wonderful. Location is perfect. Pool is gorgeous. Can't wait to go back.

The suites with lake view 402 and 403 were rather small as they were split level. The service from staff who we came across from front desk to restaurant including house keeping were wonderful. Management/owner came by to breakfast to touch base with all guests, a nice gesture indeed.

Awesome experience, the hotel is one of the best accommodation in Stresa, the service is outstanding and the restaurant is always proposing incredible dishes. The only negative note is the wireless coverage in the structure, in 2019 I would expect a better wireless coverage and a better internet connection

A romantic parenthesis, which allowed us to enjoy Lake Maggiore. The entire team is very caring, the breakfasts are really rich and delicious. The view of lake from the terrace breathtaking! Finally the SPA and its course allow you to relax after a getaway on the islands! A big thank you to the director and his team who made our stay unforgettable !!!

What a wonderful hotel, views are unbelievable, staff are so friendly, service superb, such a fantastic place to have enjoyed our silver wedding anniversary.

Thank god! Because the 3 nights at that price were worth one night.
Disaster from every point of view, I understand the covid period, but at the time of booking you could be warned of all the inefficiencies (closed spa, gym on reservation, etc.)
In the room air conditioning controlled by the reception so if you want to turn it on or off you have to call every time.
I had the TV in the room in 2009, no Italian satellite channel and 6 Italian channels placed in a sparse manner (it does not correspond to the TV guide that they leave in the room) ... 3-star hotel breakfast (served due to covid ok , but minimal choice).
For 2 breakfasts the waiter managed to get the American coffee wrong, then at the third (changing waiter) I managed to drink a decent one.
To have lunch at the bar I had to go to the reception and have someone call me (I had waited 10 minutes at the bar counter without anyone arriving); buffalo mozzarella is served, but only on the menu, because as in the photo, it is not buffalo mozzarella.

I know other leading hotels, and I don't understand how this can be part of them ... Bah

I was there for a wedding so I only write about the restaurant.
The position is nothing short of amazing for the view and is close to the busy state road and therefore, standing in the park in front of the villa you can hear the 'rumble' of the bikes or passing buses.
The furnishings are very well looked after and furnished in liberty and belle epoque style, which I appreciate anyway.
The kindness of all the staff will join the fact to see the owner and / or manager pass to every table to ask how we are was a kind and pleasant attention.
Good refreshments proposed in the garden, in the standard.
The step that I need considered the best in all the lunch were the char ravioli; the portions were right for the individual portions, they satiate but are not abundant; the various tastes of the dishes were well measured and harmonious with each other.
The only two notes are that the "guest" wifi did not cover the dining room and the table service could be a little improved in some aspects which, I stress, are detailed, such as the service order of the people at the table, the service always with a napkin for the serving dish and the withdrawal of the dishes.

Me and my partner, owner of the small wellness package that we gave ourselves as a gift, we found some cockroaches in the Spa And we were forced to leave the Location without any refund. Very nice but we were very very disappointed with the treatment.

Perfect in every sense! After an original two nights we returned some four weeks later. This time we extended our stay twice from 2 to 6 days. Wonderful ambience, with outstanding attention to detail. Palazzo Aminta has wonderful food and wine. We also enjoyed the Wednesday night barb~b~que, the evening piano playing and the excellent Spa. The staff are of the highest calibre. Thank you.
