Obsolete hotel at the end of the race , room prices compared to very unbalanced service ... very average quality of service.
Unique object the view of the Borromeo Islands

Strong point if you have a suite ...: the panorama! I also liked the somewhat outdated charm of the room even if the weight of the years is starting to be felt (especially on what remains of the carpet)

Great Hotel with excellent service and breakfast buffet. The only issue is that the central stairwell is open and if there is a function in the lobby, rooms close to the stairwell may be a little noisy. So if a light sleeper ask for a room removed from the central stairway

Very beautiful hotel with lots of amenities. The staff is super friendly, but the rooms are a bit small, and the spa is showing some age. It's a 20 minute walk to the city of stress, the hotel also offers a car service. The concierge can help book restaurants and even booked a private boat for us.

The interior of the hotel looks like an aristocratic mansion as expected. There is Isolabella in front of you, and the terrace of the room is like an observatory. However, the room is small, only 25m ^ 2 for 500 euros, and there is no shower booth in the bath. Breakfast is too expensive at 35 euros even for 4 years old. If the room is large, it's a perfect hotel, but it costs 900 euros.
Recommended for those who have a surplus of money.
The view from the restaurant is great, so I would like to stay in a large room next time. You can't enjoy the goodness of a hotel in a room with a garden view. If you think that the room is an observatory of a tourist attraction, you can understand the expensive room charge.
The restaurant menu is small and elaborate Italian food, so if you want to enjoy the aroma of simple pasta and olive oil, you should go to another restaurant. It is a restaurant for Italians who are tired of simple Italian food, and it is close to French, unlike the Italian food that Japanese people imagine.
There is a free shuttle to the city of Stresa. The platform is a black 8-seater luxury car with the hotel name in the parking lot in front of the church.
Cross the signal from the church to the sea side and stop at the left end of the parking lot as seen from the association. Since the parking lot is large, you should check the detailed location with the hotel when using it.

The hotel is spectacular, the location is perfect, the service phenomenal. This is an elegant and upscale boutique hotel overlooking beautiful Lake Maggiore, walking distance to the center of town. Villa Aminta places attention to detail in every aspect. It is evident that the people who work at the hotel love what they do, and make the guests feel like part of their family. The owner visits the hotel every day and ensures that guests feel welcomed and at home. Breakfast was included and it was delicious, and served while overlooking the lake. They also offer free shuttle service to the center of the town. The combination of the beautiful hotel, it s spectacular location, and the people made our stay truly one of a kind. We were very sad to say goodbye to this jewel in paradise.

Came from New York and loved every second here. The lake view rooms are worth it...all with breathtaking balcony views. The hotel is kept in wonderful condition and the grounds and gardens are beautiful. Inside, the detail of the decor is so elaborate and spectacular. The food is also fantastic - the breakfast was included in our stay and had everything you could possibly imagine and more. If you book direct on the website you get a better offering with discounts on the spa services and wine with dinner, and the same price as some of the big travel sites, so was glad we did that. The staff went over and beyond for our visit - from the servers at dinner to the nicest doormen & complimentary shuttle service drivers. The Hotel Manager Fabio is fantastic and does an amazing job & his team member Gian Luigi the epitome of hospitality.

Magnificent hotel, excellent meals and very good service. Well placed opposite the islands (preferable by car, otherwise a shuttle to the center exists) and not far from the cable car to the mountain with a magical view.

Included with the stay is a small Spa and a hammam but we haven't used much, I recommend leukerbad for this sort of thing.

One of the best hotels in the area, with a magnificent spa, free for guests, two restaurants and a priceless view of the beautiful island. A few hundred meters from the center of Stresa, so it is essential to have a car available.

The Villa itself is wonderful and very well kept; we understand that the property belongs to wise and attentive hoteliers. In my opinion the management of the swimming pool and SPA entrance for non-residents is to be reviewed. Welcomed by a trainee who evidently did not have the opportunity to know at all the spaces to which guests can access, the changing rooms are uncomfortable and hardly accessible. The service at lunch in the stunning views-terrace-Isola Bella, followed by a young waiter willing (battered by the upper maximum of local and did not conceal the general disappointment even under the ocxhi Customer) was also satisfactory thanks to the kitchen.

I have been to the camelia cave spa and the Il Moro restaurant, both truly remarkable. A surprise. Congratulations also to the hotel manager and the restaurant manager because they made the difference.

The best and most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in!

First night we did stay in a small room laterally view to the lake in old part of hotel which was so noisy because of non proper isolation in door and window, therefore decided to change the rooms and finally moved to 603 for the remaining 2 nights

Fab hotel. Traditional Italian hotel, with the best views of the islands.
Take the hotel water taxis and visit all 3 islands. A great 3/4 day out.
Restaurant superb.
Many fine touches, free minibar, water etc.

My husband, me and our little dog stayed here a few months ago. A beautiful hotel, very elegant and extremely luxurious, well-kept and very clean, at the height of the category and the price is in line with the standard offered. Our very spacious suite, furnished and finished in a very special way. All the hotel staff are very kind and always smiling, ready to satisfy all our needs with courtesy and punctuality. The 5 stars of this review are for this, and for the restaurant i mori, with traditional Italian cuisine and very friendly and welcoming waiters.
Unfortunately, a very negative note is to be placed on the other restaurant, Le isole, the theoretically gourmet one that is part of the structure, the dinner did not live up to expectations, nor the price and quality of the dishes which were anything but good . In addition, a moment of great tension occurred between the kitchen and the room that was displayed in front of everyone and not managed in private, which I believe would be a must to not put on a show or ruin the atmosphere of those present. Apart from this, however, we have been divinely and very satisfied.

A mystical place, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Borromeo islands and Lake Maggiore. The hotel and the park are very well kept. Fantastic staff. I recommend the restaurant and if you are in season to eat under the colonnade. Very romantic and also suitable for families. Be careful and ask for rooms with lake view, the risk is to be in a state view.

A location with a magical view. The hotel is one of the Leading Hotels of the World and therefore meets the high standard of a 5 * hotel.
The staff are attentive and the whole is clean and welcoming. Be careful, breakfast is finished early, so don't drag yourself out in bed too much.
The decor in this case is borderline over-kitsch, but ultimately goes quite well with the surroundings. After all, we are in Italy and a little exuberance never hurts ...

FABULOUS - I have no other way to describe my stay here.
The hotel is fantastic, it is like a typical Italian palace - beautiful with a sense of class. It is located on the shore of the lake, a bit further away from Stresa downtown.
The staff is the kindest staff I ever met. They listen to you and find you solution. They are knowledgeable about the region and what to do.
Rooms size can vary, was lucky to have a nice room. The walls are however a bit tiny, so can be loudly at times.
The breakfast is delicious- different varieties of choice.
My stay was just perfect and will be unforgettable.

Note on Covid - the hotel takes it seriously, mask is mandatory inside. breakfast is served by the staff. Never had issue with waiting or so. Everything is smooth. The cleaning is constantly made. Room was super clean.
