I stayed at Villa e Palazzo Aminta for 3 nights in early Aug 2020. The hotel is charming, the facilities excellent and the staff very welcoming and professional. Private lake access is just opposite the hotel and great if you take you paddle board, as we did. I highly recommend it.

5-Star-Luxury-Hotel with tiny rooms, not enough space to even have two adults standing at the same time? Not worth the money! But the service is a 5-star-service.
The staff was very friendly. Unfortunately the WiFi in our room didn't work. Even after the complaint, nothing has changed.

The room was okay, there was no shower but you always had to climb into the bathtub. The price was definitely too high for the performance.

The furnishing of the villa might seem a bit kitschy to one or the other, but in the end it is just very consistent and if you get involved: Very nice!
But the best thing is the service: Here every guest is treated like a king - you notice that at the reception.
The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired, and in the evening you can also dine in the two restaurants. The prices for this are high, but reasonable.
A room with a view of the lake is highly recommended; then it is difficult to leave the balcony.

this was part of a driving trip through parts of Europe with the attraction of Lake Maggiore. the hotel was very accommodating- our room though small had a nice balcony and was comfortable. we were on a semi pension so we ate there for three nights. food was very good though would suggest they could do more to change the menu for those staying in the hotel. the only real negative was the poor and sometimes non existent wifi service

Returning from dinner we noticed that on the bed we had been left with two chocolates and they had put mats with goodnight written in different languages.
It was really a nice surprise.

To be a 5 star L he lacks something to get the fifth star, for example in the spa the hydromassage water was a little cold, a fork with a bent tooth was brought to the table, the balconies are only divided by separators that do not give privacy ... but they are really small things, for the rest the hotel is very beautiful, the view from the rooms is spectacular, the food at the restaurant very good and refined, the staff always very kind and helpful. If you want to have breakfast at the hotel you will find a buffet stocked with practically anything imaginable, they will cook your eggs at the moment in the way you prefer and in an excellent way, they will make you hot waffles at the moment and much more.
This hotel does not merit the 5 star rating and we would not recommend if travelling with a young family in particular, we booked a family room/suite with a separate room for the children only to find that this has been given away to another couple on arrival. Our unexpected neighbour then complained to us about the noise we were making due to our children and the hotel staff claimed that "further communication" was required to secure the room setup that was advertised. The priority for this hotel is
quite clearly maximising profits over the experience of its hotel guests and we will not be staying here again on our next visit to this fantastic area of Italy.

We celebrated a special occasion at Le Isole restaurant by the terrace. Beautiful ambience and unique menu. The service was excellent and the hotel owner was supervising everything himself, a very professional gentleman.

Having hired a car from Milan airport the drive alone to this hotel, which overlooks Lake Maggiore, is quite something!
Beautiful scenery, perfect weather and then you come across Hotel Villa e Palazzo Aminta.
It s described as a small and elegant jewel and you can absolutely agree on all levels and see why when you stay here. A grand hotel when walking through the main level steeped in history around every corner. Outdoor restaurant areas with breathtaking views of the Lake including a very well laid out outdoor swimming pool to go with.
Even the corridors that weave around as you make your way back to your room continue the theme throughout the hotel.
The rooms are very generous in size, very well appointed and the bathroom area is huge!
Car parking in two separate areas for guests, which allows easy access if you wanted to drive down to the main area of Stase during any time of the day.
The staff are incredibly welcoming upon arrival. Throughout the stay they were easy to engage with, very helpful and polite the entire way through. One thing we did enjoy is the personalised approach of what looks to be one of the main owners perhaps? Every breakfast he would walk to each table and make sure everything was ok including our overall time at the hotel. That s a great touch!
Overall a superb stay. I guess tourists generally go to Lake Como?? (guessing) So this was a nice change of pace and the better of the two lakes to visit in my opinion!

Pompous hotel with professional service, average very little Italian food. Heavy minus: no walk to Baveno or Stresa ...
Absolutely beautiful hotel. We were lucky enough to be able to dine here the day before we dined at a Michelin starred restaurant and I have to say that I would be hard pressed to choose between them for quality of food. My wife said she preferred the Aminta's chocolate mousse with a heart of raspberry to the other dessert. The fassone fillet was equally as good too.

Approaching the structure some time ago, I had the "luck" of coming across what they later told me was the owner, a woman with a dog who seemed to give more importance to the dog than to the questions I asked her. It will also be a nice hotel but if this is the business card it is better to retire and find more courteous managers. Thanks for your attention

A five-star luxury for which the luxury of answering is not included in the price. I have recently returned to your area and found myself better elsewhere, less glitz and more warmth.
Very old, uncomfortable and narrow. You pay amazing price for an old days glory - it badly needs renovation already for years ... ETRO amenities does not justify cosmic pricing. Pool and spa is a joke... not worth even trying...

Very nice location, wonderful wedding. Most of the staff were very friendly, we had problems with a couple of items that got us back because too much noise disturbed the hotel customers.
