I lived at Vie at Raleigh and I was told I would have to move apartments since they contracted my building to a local school , and upon moving no furniture was in the new one ( I was told all the furniture was there). Also they STOLE all the clothes in my dresser plus everything in my night stand and all they would offer me in replacement was $200.00. Their reasoning was that it was past 7 days which was not true and now I am out of half a wardrobe. Corporate wont even answer the phone. DO NOT MOVE HERE. They are not professional and do not work at all to make what wrongs they did right. I have only lived there for 2 months and they do not care about residents AT ALL. If I could give negative stars I would.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Vie are University Towers charged me a full months rent after telling me I would not be allowed to move in until the 15th of the month with no exceptions. They are also making me pay full price only to be informed after signing my lease that residents would not be allowed guests, the community centers/lounges would be closed, no access to the gym and the rooftop pool would be closed. They refused to let me out of my lease given everything that is going on with COVID and refuse to lower the cost of rent even though the entire community is closed. DO NOT STAY HERE. They only care about your money.

The response to our original post above was just to save face publicly. The Vie Property Management has never paid what is owed for our services rendered. Now they just ignore all emails and phone calls. We had to file a lien on the property. If you are a contractor working for this company, BEWARE, you may never see your money or the will dump you and not pay their final bill. Terrible ethics.

Horrible to work for. Corporate is composed of inexperienced, ego-maniacal, micromanaging idiots. You are forced to attend web meetings so you can listen to them blather on and on about nothing because they love to hear themselves talk. I had to restrain myself from laughing at these fools at some of these meetings. Very immature company. Do yourself a HUGE favor and never work for them or ever live at one of their properties, unless you are a glutton for punishment. I'm so glad I quit that job. I talked to a former co-worker lately , who is sadly still trapped there, and found out it has gotten even worse after he told me what the corp-idiots were expecting from them now. Did I mention I'm so glad I quit? WALK AWAY!

Vie Management is VERY unprofessional. They're doing business in Savannah, GA as Savannah Terrace. I signed a lease with them under their property manager MARQUIS HODGES. A day later he contacted me, leaving a voicemail saying that the original lease I signed was invalid since they couldn't offer me the promotional that was running at the time. So i decided not to sign the new lease since the original was invalid. Then they sent my account to collections before I even moved into the place. I hadn't set one foot on the property, Haven't touched any keys, hadn't made any payments at all. VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

I completely agree with all the negative feedback that has been written as it is all correct. I moved my daughter and her roommates in there 1 day before classes started, because they wouldn't let them move in any sooner, and the place was just as disgusting and filthy as all the other reviews say. They turned in a move in list, which is required by all new tenants, to report all the things that need repaired, cleaned, etc. and the complex is supposed to have 14 days to remedy all the items listed and to this day none of them have been completed as required. They have complained to the apt Mgr, Kammy Henderson, several times that nothing has been done and her response was "I didn't know anything about it" even though one of the follow up complaints was made directly to her. No one has even looked at the move in report to address the issues and there is absolutely no communication between the office staff, maintenance, or any other staff member at this property. Now to put the icing on the cake, there was a drug involved murder on the property Sat night 8/26. The victim was not discovered for 3 hrs after he was shot 7 times. The property's "crack" security guard didn't even find him, even though he is supposed to be doing patrols every 15 minutes, from what the appt. Mgr told me, but was discovered by the Raleigh Police who were responding to a noise complaint. They caught the shooter, a resident of Vie, who was dealing drugs out of his apt and was also in possession of 6 pounds of marijuana. I wonder how many "other" drug dealers are living at Vie that management has no idea of, since they don't seem to know, care about, or do anything about all the other "normal" things that most property Mgr's should be aware of. Like cleaning the apartments before new tenants move in, repairing or replacing needed items (which in our case was quite a bit) and many other things that "respectable" property management companies do. This place could absolutely care less. I've even called the Regional Mgr, Patrick Lang, twice and he apparently doesn't return phone calls and is like the rest of the uncooperative uncaring property management company.
I urge anyone who has written a review like this to do the same on the Better Business Bureau's website because as of now there are none and they somehow have a B+ rating. What a joke.. this place needs to be condemned and any staff member that is associated with this property needs to be fired, starting from the top down!!

Just attempted to move my son into the Vie @ Ralei...

Just attempted to move my son into the Vie @ Raleigh & the apartment reeked of cigarette smoke and mold. It was filthy from top to bottom, & there was black mold in the vents and ducts. My wife and one of my son's roommate's mother, who had driven down from Boston, MA today, went to speak to the head manager, Chris Crippen, for the 3rd time today to tell him our two asthmatic boys could not possibly stay in that room and asked to have them moved to a clean, smoke & mold-free room. We were told there were no more rooms available, even though their giant message board in the lobby showed more 3 & 4 bedroom apartments still available. When he refused to help, we demanded we be let out of our leases, and he told us we would have to write to corporate, which would be him. He said their lawyer would be the one to decide whether or not to let us out of the leases, but then said he was actually the one we would have to write to, and he is not a lawyer. He refused to give us his lawyer's name and contact information. He said they would not test the room for black mold and insinuated that we were being unreasonable and couldn't be made happy. There were so many upset parents that many were emailing and writing to the local TV station, WRAL, asking for a reporter to be sent out to the apartment complex. The police even showed up at one point. There was garbage piled in some rooms, broken doors, windows, fixtures, dryers, and nothing had been cleaned at all. There were piles of dead roaches in apartments. The pool has not been available to be used for the past TWO summers because they cannot get it inspected because they don't have proper fencing around it. When we asked him about it, Chris said he spent $100,000 in renovating the pool, but can't afford decent fencing, so there basically is a lovely "pond" there with multiple lounge chairs, but no swimming. All of the money was put into the mod lobby area, and the apartments are garbage. The maintenance man, Eric, was the only decent one working there. He apologized profusely for the state of the room, AC wasn't working either. Absolutely unacceptable and will be speaking with lawyers tomorrow about getting out of this bogus lease. What a SCAM!!! All four of the boys had to find other places to stay for the night tonight, and school starts tomorrow! Most unethical management ever!

I had huge problems with vie management and smartnest changing, and me being overcharged. They threatened legal action- roommate discovered their lawyer lost his license. Shady from beginning to end. They have no consistency.
I had no choice but to call the attorney generals office and legislative office in IN and FL to report them. I followed up by searching for and complaining to the vie management and smartnest angel investor. Management is corrupt!!! I ReportED this company!

Email me google so i can send you the paperwork on this company, instead of allowing Vie Muncie to flag the review. There is some illegal activity going on and i have proof..

Vie at University Downs, Tuscaloosa. Poorly managed and apparently poorly funded. Renovated? Bwah ha ha ha, not. Mold in ventilation, took weeks of complaining and 4 tries to get it cleaned up. Furnished apartments got new furniture and they just left the old stuff for tenants to clean up. My daughter's TV went missing during the VIE doesn't have enough money refurbishment. Cars broken into regularly, shootings not uncommon. I wish I had paid more for a real campus apartment instead of constantly worrying about my daughter's safety. Office management is staffed with average and low IQ people. I promise they just don't care.

If you are a subcontractor doing work for this company don't expect payment even close to on time without getting empty promises and bugging them. They also try to tell you you didn't do the work. Do yourself a favor and pass them up. Terrible company ethics.

My daughter and her friends moved in last Tuesday ...

My daughter and her friends moved in last Tuesday and ended up having to clean just enough to sleep there that night until cleaning staff could come in the morning. They all piled on the couch out of fear due to the roach infestation in the apartment. Nearly a week later, maintenance came by to assess repairs needed in the unit but have not addressed the mold or roach issue. The leasing office manager stated she would move the girls to another unit by this Tuesday then avoided contact for days. Today she confirmed that she gave the unit to someone else and offered to bomb the dispicable unit in which my daughter and her friends are living. Various residents have found everything from mice to snakes in their units as well as weapons and drugs that were left behind by previous tenants. I'm sure the response to this post will be to send an email. Well we have done that and no one has followed up with suitable action. The attempt to accommodate has been minimal and they are taking advantage of young people who are there to get an education. It is truly sad and shameful. I wish I could give zero stars!!
