Not a bad location that opens at 8am but to have a...

Not a bad location that opens at 8am but to have a staff member standing at the door operating a computer that gives you a ticket is not only insulting but it would have to be the most stupid thing I've ever seen.
Are the staff really that desperate to do something in the office.
Either have a reception desk or have a lazy staff member at the door.
It is very rude but then again so many of Vic roads staff are known to be.
Some are OK but you clearly have the lazy ones that consider it a chore.

I made an appointment two weeks in advance. I arrived for my appointment approximately 15mintues before.

I waited for approximately one hour before being told to re book an appointment. I enquired why or whether or not i would have to pay another fee for booking an appointment and was told I don t know, book it online or call someone.

During my wait, I asked the attendant twice about when my appointment might be - after customers who had arrived after me were having their appointments and was told to kept waiting. The person did not look at when my appointment was or if I had been properly noted until I asked him to.

I am disappointed in the service and lack of knowledge with the VicRoads staff, considering I am very time sensitive. What s the point in booking an appointment.

Really fast, efficient and friendly service. Arrived early, greeted at door and my interstate conversion got completed in less than 5 minutes at the counter (they even let me check my photo) I walked out before my booking even started. Girl at the door seemed a bit bored but we all have those days.

Had a surprisingly good experience here after finding out are car rego was expired. We were prepared to wait but barely sat down, Shaun processed our rego in no time at all and now we can drive our car legally again.

It is not fair to make someone wait for more than an hour, while many other walk-in queries came in after you being served just because your query is not an easy quick one! If there is no one knowing how to serve a particular request, you should be able to tell the customer to come back another day otherwise honor the queue!! Nobody even were willing to help me with estimated time to wait!

Fast and efficient service. Glad to see all the revenue earned by fines and regos etc are being put to good use. Even the help line on the phone is actually helpful. All other government institutions should learn from VicRoads.

I turned up at peak hour traffic and was stressed with having only 15 mins until VicRoads closed and I had parked in a carpark with only 10mins parking. When I entered I was greeted with a wonderful smile and sat down to wait less than one minute. My vehicle was transferred in as little time and I was on my way. Thanks Vic Roads you are great!

After an unfortunate experience at the Carlton branch, I was directed to this branch where I received phenomenal service by Mark and Simone who went above and beyond to assist me with my Interstate Vehicle Registration Transfer. The facilities and services here are fantastic and the staff are friendly, helpful and understanding. Thanks also to Alex (Customer Service) for pointing me here!

Omg this place is amazing (ok I know it s weird to say that for a government department). The service is so friendly and fast, a huge departure to VicRoads in carlton 10 years ago, where I got given the wrong info, they got my name wrong and there were hoards of people. These guys at the hub has two concierge who help answer quick questions, direct queues and everything is just so fast and efficient. Staff are laid back and not grumpy. A huge thumbs up!

Posting one star for accessibility in main waiting...

Posting one star for accessibility in main waiting and service area: one A2 sized screen in the corner of the room displays the ticket being served next, these notifications on the screen are about a5 or smaller, difficult to see from any distance in the room if vision is not 20/20. I thought there might be an audio accompaniment in which the number would be called out to make up for this issue but it isn't the case- there is a tone that sounds but it isn't very loud- about equal to the hubbub of talking people in the space and equal or less to the sound of the auto sliding doors at the entrance.

I arrived to the office and parked only to find a meter that already had 30 minutes paid. Being from the US, I expected a massive wait and debated feeding the meter for an hour or two just to be safe. Instead, I entered the office and was helped almost immediately. The staff member, Jess, was super friendly and informative. I would definitely recommend this office to everyone for fast and friendly service. In and out with my issues resolved in less than 20 minutes!

I was in and out in 60 seconds with the forms I needed and having clarified an legal enquiry with the concierge (he showed me in the document where it gives the answer). The guy was a gun. Didn't get his name but give the bloke who was working there at 9.45 this morning a raise!

Unbelievable - the best experience in a motoring office in my entire life. I was in an out within minutes. Ryan was helpful and fun with his quirky sense of humour. Being open to 6pm is also very convenient for us 9-5 workers.

Twice now my replacement ID has not come in the mail(for whatever reason, I blame AUS post) and now I am off to Hobart in a few days and from there I am overseas for 18 months. Went in and explained that I needed a new one sent to an address in Hobart but I was told it was dispatched and would come sometime next week even though it has been 13 business days. I guess I just have to come back again on Monday or Tuesday again to let them know it still has not come. Last time I went I was amazed with the service (was served by a young lady with blonde hair) but today was nowhere near that (was served by a young male). Feeling annoyed.

Very modern and clean office. A staff member was just inside the front door to help me to where I needed to go. I had to wait about 10 minutes to be served but the seats were very comfortable and the environment very pleasant. The staff member who served me friendly and efficient. Well done VicRoads.

I've been here many times, and most of the time they would do a good service.
Until one day I came to inquiry on motorcycle rules, etc. which I think VicRoad needs to educate their staffs on.
I understand that they outsourced this part to private, however, VicRoad is still the one that provide all of the licenses and rules.
Unfortunately the staff's knowledge on this is very poor.

I had a great experience at this service centre, very friendly and helpful people. Although I was attending to renew an expired drivers over 5 years old, I would have to do some tests in order to get my drivers license, However I since discovered that my less than a year expired QLD drivers would enable me to do a interstate transfer so I can obtain VIC DL. So Ive booked online test and Hazard test at my own cost, now I will be attending with all the necessary paperwork to do a interstate transfer to obtain VIC license. Make sure you do your research before hand. : )

Very clearly understaffed.
Force people to booking things that should be solved there & then. Confusion on having a person guide the queue much slower than if they just let people use the ticket machines but then disappear off with people to help them, holding up the queue.

The actual appointment bookings are also weeks away for things that should be relatively straight forward interactions (transferring vehicle registrations & licenses interstate).

Thought I'd have to wait for ages... I didn't... then I was greeted by Melissa behind the desk and she was freaking awesome... cheery and joked around but at the same time she didn't waste a second of time getting the job done.

Printed my ticket at 8.02, was the fourth ticket to come out of the machine. Still hadn't been served at 8.50 and people were walking in being given a ticket and getting served 2 minutes later. The system for calling numbers is rubbish.

Quickest and most efficient customer service ever received from VicRoads so far. I was served by Paul B who was excellent in his dealings. I was at VicRoads for my replacement license to be rephotographed. Paul apologized firstly for any inconvenience caused where he didn't have to. Later he exactly knew what he was doing. Overall experience was excellent. However,I would like to mention that the 113 Exhibition Street - VicRoads center doesn't have a washroom? I was sent to next door building to use washroom which I guess will be very inconvenient for elderly and during winter days. Rest was all good.
