Usually I find museums boring but Swiss Museum of Transport is something out of this world. I don't know why they call it a museum. There are so many interactive things to do at Swiss Museum of Transport. If you are with kids (or if you have child-like curiosity), you will easily spend an entire day interacting with all exhibits.

There are separate sections for trains, cars, planes, boats & even space (where you can walk in Zero gravity). Visit this excellent museum once in a lifetime for sure.

After a long time I was in the Verkehrshaus again. It has a lot of great interactive things to test and experience.
Unfortunately, entry is very expensive, which is a real shame. The prices for food and drink in the self-service restaurant are also at the upper limit.

This museum is amazing! We originally planned to spend three, maybe four hours here. After all, how much can this place hold our children's attention. Turns out that between the train hall with its simulations, the car hall with its mirror maze, or the yard with the 'games' that demonstrate transportation using ships, trains, trucks and airplanes - three hours flew by with us barely noticing it. We ended up spending the entire day here, and still skipping out on things we wanted to see. We didn't even do the chocolate tour!

A highly equipped and welcoming technical museum. You can spend a whole day in the museum with your kids and family, and you're still not exhausted. It's wonderful that the exhibits can be reached.

The chocolate tour was fun. They gave cute little carts. Each seats around 5-6 people. They usually put one group in each. These move on an automated path. It was just about 20 min long tour.

The tour itself may not have something that you already don't know. However presentation is fun.

Very interesting and instructive.

Very interesting and instructive.
All in one place, from the history of the auto industries, ships, planes and helicopters to the space program.
There is a Planetarium as well as a Cinema.
Daily ticket for all costs 56 francs.
It takes about 4 to 5 hours to get around.

A really great experience, much more than a museum. Railways, ships, airplanes, 3-D cinema, planetarium and much more. Admittedly, even on a Monday more than well attended. But it's worth it! Actually, one day is not enough. Tip: even if you swallows the price, be sure to take a day pass, so you can go in and out as you like.

The transport museum is always interesting and if you live in Switzerland it is better to buy an annual subscription it pays off. Children there are always interested, some attractions are updated. In 10 times we arrive there and find something new interesting for ourselves!

I was more than pleasantly surprised when I took my colleague and his children to the Swiss Museum of Transport. Above all, it was an absolute highlight for the children, that is: child-friendly from A to Z, so totally recommended for families! But the adults are certainly not neglected either. The chocolate adventure was the culmination at the end of the visit, something of a professional nature, so the words literally stay away. So what are you waiting for? Every now and then in the Verkehrshaus and the team there: Friendly, whether at the cash register or in the museum area, keep it up !!!

As a transport nerd, I loved the exhibits.

As a quiet person, the number of kids drove me mad.

If you're the same way, you'll want to visit outside of school holidays.

An ideal place for children - various train simulators and aircraft, a lot of equipment that you can look into. The museum seemed to me not big enough. A bonus to the transport is a visit to the Hans Ernie Museum.

Swiss transport museum is a very interesting place for kids and train enthusiasts in particular. The museum is curated with real time vehicles. All the information boards are in English, enabling foreign tourists to read through easily! There are a few interactive equipment that provide real time experience to visitors! Overall it is definitely a good 4-5 Hr visit.

Defects:

Defects:
- Sugar. For children, there should not be chocolate in tons at the entrance, it is the Chocolate Lind Adventure - DIRECTLY at the entrance - Exclusive, on about 200 m2! A supermarket would be more useful.
- Beverages. Since there is no supermarket nearby, drinks are sold to horror travelers. All drinks in 0.5 liter bottles 5 francs ( 4.5 - child friendlier it is not).

Advantages: see website of the traffic museum

Spectacular, suitable for everyone, especially for families with children of all ages! It is divided into aeronautical thematic pavilions, cars, boating and railway vehicles. There are lots of virtual and manual experiments to do. At fixed times there are experiences that you can participate for free. I find this museum very complete and super well maintained. The staff super nice and friendly ..... I highly recommend a visit!

Visiting the museum is fun for young and old. The exhibitions for smaller, younger ones tend to be less experience-oriented. For young people it has a lot of wonderful experiences and thoughts. The play area with the reloading area, the trolleys and the garden train as well as the trampi buns offer great variety for everyone. Attentive and very friendly welcome. Good, adapted, friendly restoration. The homepage is illustrative, but can only be used to plan the visit. Unfortunately, some toys were out of order on our day of visit (conveyor belt, mail delivery bag, etc.).
Still happy to come back.

Lucerne is also known for its fantastic museum of Transport, it is located near the lake, often the facades of the same building are themed. A visit is definitely worth it, inside it is the story told of the evolution of Switzerland's transport. Along the lake you will find a fantastic park and wonderful hotels. Lake Lucerne and its surroundings are fabulous, snow-capped mountains and green hills that are reflected in the lake. Various events are held in Lucerne during the year. Lucerne a place that must be visited during your visit to Switzerland. Top place
