First time to the Verizon Amphitheatre to see Dan + Shay. This is the best. Great show and venue. We were lucky enough to do a quick meet and greet. Nicest guys in show biz.
It was alright. Went to see Chris Young. Although I'm not into country music, the tickets were free thru Vet Tix so I figured I might as well. Going thru security was a hassle. They pushed everyone thru a metal detector and looked in their bags with a poke stick. Well, i beeped so they made me double check my pockets and take off my belt. I need again so that used a wand on me. That thing beeped too. In my opinion, it was an unnecessary hold up over nothing. Inside the concert, we had orchestra section seating. Security halted me because of the cap on my water bottle. I was given the choice to either throw it away or sit on the lawn. So i went to the concession area and smoked a cigarette, and put the cap in my purse. Then went to my seat. They didn't even look at my water bottle that's time. So stupid! I've never heard of something so ridiculous!
Wonderful, spacious venue with plenty of greenery to separate you from the traffic in the area. Parking is thought-out, with plenty of room for larger concerts. Refreshments terribly over-priced.
This is an amazing place to go to concerts. It's a beautiful, open air Amphitheater. You can get a seat which costs a little more or the cheaper tickets are in the grass, behind the seats on an incline, so you can see good from there, too. If you sit in the grass, you need to bring a little chair or a blanket to sit on and maybe an umbrella. The seats are covered, but the grassy area isn't. My husband and I went to see my favorite band, NEEDTOBREATHE, and it was incredible! The sound was so great and there isn't a bad seat in the whole place. You can see very well over everyone in front of you, no matter how short you are. There are vendors everywhere for drinks and food. They sell wine, beer and liquor. There are employees starting way out in the streets to point you in the right direction. We had a little bit of a walk from where we parked and a little jump down an incline. I wouldn't recommend wearing heels . There were staff members and security everywhere and we had no difficulty getting to our seats. They were so helpful, getting in and out of my seat, pointing me to the restroom, ect. It is pretty casual dress. I had such an amazing time and really enjoyed the music. I will definitely do it again.
Went to see Lynyrd Skynyrd. Show was great. However the food was way overpriced. I waited in line over a half hour to find out they sold all the pretzels. Got two hot dogs instead. I bought 2 beers from another stand. One beer was 15.00 and the other was 13.50. I gave $40. and got $5.00 change. The hot dogs were horrible. The service of this venue puts a black eye on the good shows that Verizon brings. When going to a show, my recommendation is to not rely onverizon for food or drink. They will rip you off
Beer is expensive but I guess that's at all venues. Other than that it was great
Time to get my rock on awesome place for a concert steve miller peter frampton still can do it albeit from a wheel chair but they still get they groove on
Amazing show !!sound was very good ..parking was very organized and the attendants were helpful!!!
I have been to several events here and have always had good seats no matter where you sit.
Easy entrance and exit, acoustics are extremely clear and without distortion but there aren't enough people working concession and it takes forever to get food or a drink but besides that it was a great experience with friends.
LOVE this place !! Without a doubt, the BEST outside venue !! Well staffed, well planned lay-out and the sound is incredible ! Plenty of bathrooms and concessions.. only one gripe.. beer too expensive !
The parking here is awful. It takes a while to initially get in, which is tolerable because the employees do a decent job at directing traffic. Leaving, however, is a whole different ballgame. It basically becomes a free for all in a dystopian world where society has collapsed and every man is for himself. I've only been here twice and each time I asked myself "why, God? Why me?" So I probably won't be back unless it's someone I'm dying to see. Verizon, get your parking lot act together.
Cigarette Smoking is out of control (picture a smoking bar, when there is no wind- it s that bad. It is a Non-Smoking venue which was not enforced AT ALL
Yes, the venue itself is nice and sound quality good, but if you can t breath..have so much smoke around you keep coughing and get sick from how heavy it is....you can t enjoy yourself or the music.
I purchased a VIP pass and facilities were very nice
Great place with wonderful acoustics, shelter for rain, but seating was a little cramped.
Awesome place! Went to the Korn & Alice In Chains concert and it was A-H-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!
Parking was a nightmare - sat in traffic for well over an hour and miseed most of the Doobies' performance! Spent too much on tickets to have to go through this! I'm not inclined to go back!
favorite venue to see concerts. easy accessibility. great location. top place to see a concert!!!
I won't carry my teenage girls anywhere but here. It is nothing like Lakewood very clean security is on top of things. No nonsense you don't want young ones exposed to.
Great Venue, Security was hassle free, overpriced concessions (that's the norm isnt it)
Great place for a concert, I've been to many here. The seats, about 1/2 of them covered are all good spots. The lawn (general admission) is my favorite for dancing, best spots in the middle. Some dont like the slight incline but it's no problem. Parking is good & free. No camping out allowed. Bringing 1 sealed bottle(no alcohol) is allowed. Alcohol sold in venue is expensive. Lawn chairs rented for $5. Wheelchair areas between seats & lawn. Handicap accessible but the lot is rocky. Simple security check of your person with lil metal detector & maybe a side pat down. Your bag, purse, backpack will be looked through entering venue.
What a great venue for a concert! Well laid out and superb facilities
Big beautiful venue with giant screens - audience members anywhere (seated or general admission field) will be able to see and hear the stage perfectly. All staff were nice and patient and venue was clean and organized.
This amphitheatre is awesome and the concert was a very memorable experience! As usual drinks were very expensive but chicken finger plate was very good.
Great venue, parking is great, getting in and out of the venue doesn't take long.
Great venue, but they do not enforce their own rules. Its a smokers paradise in the lawn. People smoking everywhere even though the rules state no smoking. Security doesn't even try to enforce the rules.
Great space for concerts. If you are going in the evening and do not want to be in the setting sun sit in sections 100-103 as 104 over is all in the sun until it sets.
It is nice. You can't take guns in even with a concealed weapons permit. Their sign is at the gate. No pocket knives or bullets either. The staff are nice and understanding. I would recommend this place for concerts.
Seen Godsmack, great concert! Everything went smoothly from parking the car to making a purchase, nice & clean.
The lights, sounds, and special effects were incredible!!!
Very typical outdoor amphitheater. However, they gave out free cotton candy which I had never seen before so I respect that.
Very disappointed at the length of time getting put through the security line. Treated very disrespectfully there by multiple personnel.
this was the best day of my life , and the amphitheater made it 1000000% better
Helpful Staff, my wife was having mobility issues to the point we thought we would have to leave. The staff offered to transport her from a distant parking lot to the ticket gate via golf cart. Kudos to this Team for their compassion and attention to safety during the event.
Arrive early as parking is uncomfortable but the venue is fantastic and attracts the world's finest artists. Do not hesitate and go!
Attended two graduations back to back, love the venue and friendly staff. And of course very awesome sound system.
Small cozy venue. Lawn seats are great! Short chairs are good, too! No one mean and obnoxious yet. :)
Easy to get to. Food and drinks close to seats. A great evening.
Nice venue. Great sound. Staff was excellent when resolving an issue I had with my seats.
Judas Preist and Deep Purple
AWESOME SHOW !!!
Nice and open, lawn is easy to access and walk on. Acoustics sounded great too.
One of the best venues I have ever been to. Easy parking, friendly staff, the place is clean and safe.
Great venue except food is expensive and the parking is *horrible* - traffic flow in and out is epicly poor. Fix this guys. It's a mess!
Saw Thomas Rhett here in Sept 2017. The lawn was packed so get there early if you want to get a good spot. Great venue. Closest bathrooms were portapotties with no means of washing hands.
Went to a show with my husband, just had surgery and had to sit in handicap sits and they were great about swapping my tickets so we could. Great place wonderful people
Excellent venue for shows. Easy access to get in and out. There is honestly not a bad seat in the house.
Lakewood's uptown sister. Everything is marvelous. Marvelous neighborhood, marvelous venue, marvy acoustics. As usual, get there early or enjoy the marvelous traffic...is reachable by Marta, but start trip well ahead of time.
Just got out of a concert there , great shops and stuff , oh but one more thing , can you speak louder I can't hear a word your saying
Lot A is where the drive in concerts are now. It was very well organized and I felt comfortable with the distancing. Bring food, drinks and blankets. Enjoy the live music from your car or right next to it. I'd love to attend more, especially year round. We needed it.
Great place! Lots of vendor areas helped to reduce the length of the lines. The staff were the best I have ever experienced at a venue like this. They were all eager to help and very kind, from the parking assistants, the ushers, the security and the concession staff. They even had a bathroom attendant in the mens restroom that was directing people where they needed to go to make it move quickly. I would definitely recommend this venue!
Amazing venue, very well staffed, great sound properties.
Setting is nice. Traffic control both human and car is abysmal. Concession prices are outrageous. Double vodka and 22 oz beer was $40
Sweet place to see a concert, but the seat descriptions are a bit vague and the sun is in your eyes sometimes depending on where your seated right when a band is coming on.
Beautiful concert venue. Not a bad seat around with amazing staff and good prices.
Very nice. Clean. Well managed with big crowds. One of the nicest concert venues I've been to.
