Awful experience. My kids Christmas presents of Nerf Guns were taken out of their bags and thrown away because they "were in the shape of guns". Seriously!!!!! A lovely Christmas trip to Holland ruined at this airport.

Today we arrived after a lot of traffic jams, 5 minutes before the gate closed in the parking lot. After we ran our lungs out of our body, the departure was already closed, you can imagine something about it; panic everywhere. And there was our saving angel, a very friendly lady saw the panic in my eyes and immediately started calling if we could still come along. Of course I couldn't even find my boarding pass because of misery and yet she remained friendly, patient and put us at ease. We were allowed to continue! And there too there were very friendly people at customs who could help us further. I am eternally grateful to you! 5 stars for you!

Been to many airports in the world, but now departed from Maastricht Airport for the first time. Beautiful and well-arranged airport, incredibly friendly and service-oriented employees, we received free sandwiches for the road. In short, a positive attitude during this Covid-19 period, how nice is that!

Efficient but extremely ugly and uninviting airport. Parking on p2 is still far too expensive for a shadowy and moderately maintained terrain; count on 60 euros for a week. As long as the flight is cheap, just okay.

First time we flew through Maastricht with Corendo...

First time we flew through Maastricht with Corendon and we really enjoyed it. Very nice airport, fast check in with a very friendly employee. Customs is nice and smooth. Plenty of toilets and nice and quiet everywhere, enough space to sit. I do not understand the negative comments about the airport at all. We have not experienced the long wait for luggage in previous responses. It is true that compared to Schiphol you may have to wait a little longer at the baggage claim but you are also 15 minutes faster at the baggage claim because once you are out of the plane, you are within 3 minutes at the baggage claim and you do not have to wait 15 minutes first walk. But apart from that we didn't think we had to wait a long time for luggage. We have a great experience with Maastricht Aachen Airport and we certainly want to travel more often through this airport, in fact, when booking a holiday or flight, this airport gets our first choice. Much more relaxed, clearer than Schiphol, for example. Super!

What a horror !! Lesson learned, rather parking costs than this airport what a stuffy rotten loft! Small, uninviting and unfriendly staff. Really work Limburgish ..... SLOW! Once you have passport control you are no longer allowed to go to the toilet. One tent for far too expensive food and drinks. One word: WORTHLESS. Once .... But never again !!!!

If you had a good time in the Netherlands this airport will make you forget it. I was stopped for documents check and an investigation that lasted for half an hour. The reason for which I was stopped, strange behaviour, they claimed. The only things I did was having coffee. So I think it wasn't strange behaviour rather than being coloured or have an Arabic look. I was check throughly, and had to completely unpack my luggage. I felt extremely annoyed and discriminated. I don't know what is the reason for all of this, but I know that I'm not coming back here.

Small functional airport. Departure went smoothly.
But the way back. Gosh, what an amateurish hassle with the suitcases. More than 45 minutes waiting for your suitcase, while only one plane has landed. They need to improve strongly on this.

Poor phblic transportation to the airport. If you go with your own car, there are poor parking conditions and the traffic signs are confusing. If you miss the departure terminal, you have to drive a lot just to turn back. 1 or 2 turnarounds would make things easier.

this is clearly easily accessible
1 parking immediately on location clear anyway
also to let you pick up and such still achievable without penalty
usually there is only 1 check in so also for the elderly among us nice and friendly
no stress just nice on vacation!

Very small airport with poor services. Bus to the city not too frequent (especially at the weekend). Trying to take a taxi for 7 km is above 30 euros. Staff very fussy and not very delicate. To eat there is little or nothing and with high prices (it is essential to bring something). From Maastricht by train it is easy to reach both Belgium and Germany

Let's start positively: it is good that Limburg has a functioning airport, they have already rebuilt the terminal and it looks pretty nice. The airport is very small, the range of flights is very limited and especially the service is adapted to the very limited range.

but:

1) the last bus to Maastricht leaves at 11.03 p.m. That is too early if you know that flights will arrive around 10.30 pm and if you know that you only have a handful of baggage traders. Flights sometimes have delays, luggage has to be waited a long time and the bus does not wait, so a lot of customers are just unlucky.

2) there are no standard waiting taxis, there is no taxi information point where you can order a taxi if necessary. The general service counter has a magazine with a number of taxi companies - it took a while before they found it. Eventually a number was given and despite point 1 no effort was made to arrange the taxi for the customer. A taxi to Maastricht center costs 40 euros. A huge amount.

That is a shame because point 1 has already disappointed the customer and point 2 ensures that the customer can no longer choose MST in the future.

Conclusion: definitely go to MST by car because public transport can go wrong. That is not acceptable in 2019. The service is not adapted to what a modern airport needs. There are no sound agreements with bus and taxi companies.

Author's tip to MST: go and talk to Flixbus, maybe they'll see something in a stop at MST. This offers enormous opportunities for attracting customers from the Belgian border region.

Small airport for a small town, even if you are european citizen, if you are not white you have high risk to be stopped & interrogated by the security agents. My 2 last experiences in this airport, one leaving and the last one arriving, were so bad at point that I was asking myself if I were still In Europe, Too much time lost for nothing.

After plane land the airport shuts down.

Klote airport, everything here is broken. First of all, the luggage belt was broken (three times even!) So it took a long time to hand in suitcases, this removed the advantage of online check-in. Then the plane broke, annoying of course, but even more annoying because the whole airport is also broken. The security gates constantly go off without anyone walking through them, as if they have their own will or something.
Furthermore, the air conditioning works only minimally, so you have to get fresh air to the smoking room, where little fresh air can be achieved. Delay is of course annoying, but that is why the only store at the airport should not close its doors. Finally, the staff are very unfriendly, always react shortly and do not arrange clean dishes for food / drinks. Fortunately, we now get everything reimbursed. The WiFi connection is also not optimal. The speed of this is minimal and that is not yet about the time that it works at all.

The security staff is self-sufficient and arrogant. Non-dangerous everyday objects are declared dangerous and you are forced to give up your luggage for a lot of money. The question of where the danger lies was succinctly answered with "This is my decision", not to mention a printed regulation. The fact that the security staff can be misused as a revenue generator of a low-cost airline is a new dimension. Oh yes, it was about simple jumper cables, which are about as dangerous as belts, which was not objected. That's the level of a banana republic. In conclusion, one can only advise against flying only with hand luggage from Maastricht, because one is exposed to arbitrary rules of the staff. The only waiting room is way too small, so many people had to stand. There are things that you do not have to experience again. Now that I've read other reviews, it could have been because I was a man traveling alone and German. Welcome to Europe!!

Took a long time before the luggage on the belt lay desolate bad ... A tip maybe you can hang signs where it is indicated which flight has which baggage belt!

There are minuses I hear next to me: the WiFi and the chargers do not work and that is annoying and bad. You then fall silent, cannot do anything anymore and you are cut off from the world. Flying always has a delay, until you are suddenly called to board. That is now the case for us, a buzz, many are afraid of missing something and quickly stand at the gate. A little too early, there too the wait will certainly last 20 minutes and after that a lot of waiting will follow.

Already twice traveled from here from here. Most customer-friendly airport I have already been to: a hilarious shuttle bus driver, super-friendly canteen lady and desk clerk, customs officers (military police) with humor. They can learn something from this in Belgium.

I would recommend the negative reviews recently to use this airport.

It certainly was not busy, and we did not have to wait long.
The employees did their work well,
and were nice.
When we were in the plane there was a slight delay, but the pilot promised to fly faster and we just arrived at normal time.

Quiet airport
I live in belgium
but we prefer to drive to Maastricht than to Brussels airport
Maastricht airport is much more pleasant to wait and the service is much better than at Brussels airport

An airport is useless if no transport to other loc...

An airport is useless if no transport to other locations is available. This airport has only a very poor public bus connection (once per hour) to Maastricht. People arriving at the airport have to arrange transport with relatives and friends picking them up.

Ugliest part is that this airport has "Aachen" in its name but the transport to Aachen departs only three or four times per day, the last at 4 p.m.
