Beautiful view and great food and bar.
Service is too notch.

The best clam chowder ever. Large pieces of clams in it. They make their own margarita mix from scratch. Loved them. The bar service and dinning service was awesome.

Omg the highlight of any Central coast trip. Get the poblano clams and the tuna tar tar. Add the salsa to tar tar. Next level

Best views, good food, great service. Kinda on the fancy side, so it s not a shorts and flip flops kind of place.

Ordered the shrimp cocktail. Fabulous flavor. Fresh shrimp. No smell. Clam chowder bowl was lovely and the fish and chips we're done to perfection. Halibut was awesome. Coconut mojito was excellent and the local 805 pale ale was spot on. Semi formal dining experience so a good place for a nice dinner or special occasion. Service was fast and friendly.Well done!

Food was so so. Not bad but not great. The view is unreal. I highly recommend you visit specifically to see the view during the day and at sunset. Worth buying a lunch to see it! We visited in early September. Make sure to bring a jacket as it gets very windy by the water! If you don t have a jacket, you will be cold :)

Yummm! The food is delicious. The staff is accommodating and polite and you can tell they enjoy their job. I went at night so couldn t see the view but you could tell it would be beautiful during the day. The cocktails are on point.

Service was great! The food was expensional! Would highly recommend the mocajete. Will definitely come back.

The Mahi Mahi was just OK. The only vegetarian option, enchiladas, was the worst vegetarian meal I've ever eaten. The brown sauce was bitter and the enchiladas were completly tasteless. Although the pork chop was ordered well done, it was overcooked and slightly crusty. The marguerita was weak and the fried ice cream dessert was so-so. The service was impeccable. I don't plan to return.

Great views, atmosphere, and food. South of the border inspired menu. Great local sourced ingredients and a creative food fair. Drinks are also off the chain. Had the Smoke on the Water. Yum. This place is the real and not the jabroni.

A great place for dinner! The food is of very good quality, and has something special (try the Asian nachos!). Fabulous view over the ocean (including sunset ). Friendly staff.

I went to Sunday Brunch. Good food, nothing spectacular about it. Bottomless mimosas included do that was a plus. The waiters are on top of your drinks and plates too.

Well, first of all the ocean views are spectacular. And, if it's a nice day you can site outside at the front of the restaurant overlooking the ocean and have a drink and an appetizer. It's my go to place for a Jeffe Margarita which is with muddled jalapenos and cilantro. Excellent. I've had a couple different appetizers there before. The Nachos which are amazing and very filling and the ahi poke which is a refreshing healthy light appetizer if you want some good protein. The staff are friendly and the service is good. Can't go wrong going there.

Unfortunately wait half an hour, but the system is very good here! The name and cell phone number was recorded so we went for a walk and got a message when the table was ready.
So either you should make a reservation or just take some time and wait.
Such a main course is rice and red beans, extremely small bowls which I find very nice! The rib eye steak medium cooked was on the one hand unfortunately something on the other side perfect !!! The grilled vegetables are perfect and tasted very good. The perch was still pretty juicy and had no more creten in it which is great. The spinach could have been a bit more flavorful but that's okay I've done something myself ... These dried apricots, however, were not mine. The dessert was the chocolate mousse which was delicious ... the raspberry sauce was way too liquid.
As always in America, it definitely cost a lot ... 120 $ with a bottle of Riesling.

We had a wonderful dinner with friends. We were able to enjoy a beauitful sunset from our boorh. The service was fantastic. We enjoy talking with our friends and eating good food.

I love Ventana. It is the kind of place you can go and have a drink and soak up the view or you can have amazing food. I have to say I am sad the tapas are going away. I love their tapas menu. But I did have sunday brunch for the first time. Amazing!!!! A little pricey but worth it. We had a great server. I wish I caught her name. Also the bar tender there on most sundays is so great makes a killer bloody mary.

This impromptu stop on our way back from San Luis Obispo was a great decision. We have never heard of a halibut chimichanga but it was awesome. When you take a bite into it you can totally taste the fresh halibut perfectly cooked. We also had the halibut tacos. No add-ons, no cover-ups, no taco bling. Just a fresh flour tortilla and some pico de gallo sitting atop a few fresh pieces of fish and cabbage with a side of fresh guacamole and sour cream. The fish here is grilled, but done so by the hand of god - light and airy but still featuring tremendous fresh fish texture. To end the night, we had to have a side of flan topped with strawberries whipped cream.

Food was great but service and view was even better. Worth the luxury tax for sure.

Best of California cuisine. Menu may not be many pages.

Their Focus is the quality not quantity of items offered.

Great location with some of the best view of the bay and PImo Beach.

What really makes the dining experience nice. You ll find the dining room is not crowded with tables and chairs. It s never fun to send your food flying because of the guest at the table behind you continuously bumps your chair and this won t happen at Ventana Grill!

We had to wait a little while due to COVID, but it was well worth the wait!!! From the appetizers to desert everything was amazing. I had the burger and it may just be the best burger I've ever had. The mudpie desert was also amazing. Highly recommend.

Views! We had no problem getting a reservation for lunch. Parking wasn't bad. Even without a "window table", the views are fabulous. Food great (except needed more sauce on the fish tacos). Complimentary birthday dessert if requested. Good service and menu. I'd go for lunch instead of dinner in order to take advantage of the view.

Sea Bass was fantastic! The rice and beans were pretty good too. They served fresh tortillas before hand with some salsas for dipping, which while good, were not remarkable, but that's not really necessary. Of course, the view was fantastic.

Spectacular views of the ocean, especially around sunset. Enjoyed the fried calamari appetizer and the blackened scallop & shrimp plate. Pork chops were also good, steak nachos were ok. Overall solid but just a bit pricey.

Halibut ceviche was so fresh! Seafood penne pasta was also excellent.

Fun food buys here for an out of towner. Vegetables looked big and delicious. I saw some things we don't have on the east coast.

We had the clam appetizer, delicious. My partner had the seafood pasta - very rich and tasty. I had the tuna salad - very fresh and satisfying. The mudpie dessert was excellent, and plenty for two to share.

Have been three times and all experiences were great. Last was take out tonight 11/19/20 and everything was on point.

We had "Asian Style Nachos" and the clam chowder for starters. It was outstanding. Excellent food which is worth the price.

Have agree with Mr. Harrington, "Front of house" is pretty weak. Last year called to make reservation for our anniversary, was told," we only take a few reservations so walk- ins don't have to wait" after waiting nearly an hour we went elsewhere. This year I called to make a reservation, (again on our anniversary.. Its a beautiful place) went through the restaurant's menu 3 times finally got the hostess and was put on hold. Twenty minutes later, honestly, I got to the hostess, who suggested we "walk-in". I said no, and asked about a reservation, the only opening was 530 so I took it. My wife knew she would be running late so I called to see if we could come 20 minutes later..nope not a chance. Really? Twenty minutes? It also must be said the hostess was very unpleasant. Reminds me of places in LA who treat everyone except celebs like crap right up until they close. Beautiful place, great bar, couldn't tell you about the food.

Food was amazing. The shrimp ajillo was the best! Views are one of the best in the area. Get a table outside by 5 to enjoy the perfect sunset view.

Food was great I didn't really think the value of the tacos at $15 was really Worthy of three tiny little tacos but the view was worth a million dollars!

So we went to this spot because of the good reviews. Unfortunately we were told that it would be a 2 hour wait. We asked if we could place an order to go as they have some benches outside for I believe it was Ventanitas but they were closed. Front staff stated that due to our party of 7 we would not be able to place a take out order due to the fact that they only accept orders for up to 6 to go but wanted to know if I would like her to ask for us to place an order for 6. I believe she tried her best but was unable to make our family feel welcomed. It might have been our regular attire or our skin tone but we were definitely not welcomed there. Sad experience to say the least.
