Kathy Severson was very helpful in finding an appropriate family plan for my state. She also helped get coverage for my son who returned from full-time Army training and needed civilian insurance during his National Guard service.

VelaPoint has proven to be an invaluable resource in trying to navigate the treacherous waters of individual health insurance. JJ was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, patient and professional. It is truly a breath of fresh air to deal with someone that understands the true meaning of being in a service business.

It's difficult to leave a 5 Star review about dealing with an insurance company. But, after struggling with other companies, VelaPoint helped me get it done pretty easily. They get 4 stars.

I was able to apply for health insurance quickly. I dealt with two very pleasant people (Jesse and Cynthia) who were well spoken, knowledgeable, and patient. There was no waiting on hold. An unexpectedly positive experience.

Bought insurance coverage for new employer that had none in US. Was sold 3 policies to cover me. Called to cancel and they only cancelled one. Was billed for several years and then told me it was my fault that i only cancelled one! Initially called to cancel after only one month of coverage due to how bad it was. Poor customer service and not looking out for the customer!

I would definitely recommend to anyone. Jessica was a delight to work with. Even when I was having brain fogs she assured me everything was okay and helped me tremendously. More genuinely helpful agents like her.

The representative who assisted me with health insurance decisions was very thorough and patient with regards to my questions and was readily available, making my experience in getting coverage extremely helpful!
Once I made the decision, he was able to secure health care coverage in a matter of minutes.
I had spoken to two other individuals of which one, was not able to answer all of my questions, and it was apparent that he did not want to spend much time with me.
The other person, although thorough, could not customize a plan to suit my needs and did not have access to various plans to achieve that.
With all that being said, yes, I would highly recommend VelaPoint!

VelaPoint is very bad. They sign you up for things you don't need, charge you for services you never receive and delay delay delay any resolution. I had a terrible experience dealing with this company and they continue to take unauthorized withdrawals from my bank account. Stay away from VelaPoint.

I work here and I don't hate my job. I have an awesome boss, friendly coworkers, and better bonus structure than other callcenters. They give you 18 paid days off a year plus 10 paid holidays! The company culture is great- we work hard and throw lots of events and contests.

Dwight went above and beyond helping me get health insurance. He spent all morning on the phone with me until everything was complete.

So far they have been very helpful. My agent Ryan was easy to talk to and very accommodating with my schedule.

Jesse Mays has been really helpful, extremely soft spoken and friendly. He was very patient with me especially because it took many too and fro discussions and delay as well before i finalized the policy.

Be Careful. Transparency & honesty not their best traits. Try to sell products that veers from the help your looking for. Agent claimed he was able to assist with AHC, and really was not. While he tried to assist me with it he tried to pitch me on items that were not part of AHC.

Agent was knowledgeable and helped fill out the application and the price is immensely better then what I was paying.

He was polite , patient and went out of his way to send me crucial information I needed and made sure I had a thorough understanding of what I needed to do.

I was somehow directed to VelaPoint agent Sam Arazio to find insurance to satisfy my legal requirement to have health insurance. Sam signed me up for a plan with Manhattan Life. I'm now being told that the plan did not satisfy my legal requirement to have insurance. So now I'm out over two thousand dollars and will not be receiving a 1095 and I assume will be fined on my taxes. This company is a predatory scam agency.

I was so excited to find this insurance agent but after she enrolled me in my plan, she cut off all communication with me. I cannot get ahold of her and she does not respond to emails :(. Super bummer!

The process was a little drawn out, but Latoya was awesome. Her patience with the situation was great. The insurance system itself is confusing enough.

Jeremy was a upbeat, congenial voice, seemed very knowledgeable and was helpful. I would recommend him with one caveat, do not argue with your client on the phone when they are giving you their experiences with the healthcare system. A person can still be denied insurance. The law may say no one is, but if you are of a certain age and unable to get a job due the market you are in, you can be denied because you are not "paying taxes". I have had to pull from my savings, pay my taxes on it when I do, both state and federal, but still get denied. The system has not been refined enough yet to cover exception to the rule situations. Otherwise, Jeremy was very professional.

I was defrauded by Agent Anna Laemmert and Velapoint Insurance. I called Providence Health Plan to obtain health insurance for myself, my wife and my two children. I did not realize it at the time, but I was forwarded to Velapoint Insurance and they took my application for the health insurance. I spoke to an agent by the name of Anna Laemmert. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary until about a week later when I received a whole life insurance policy, a cancer/heart/stroke policy, and a plan enhncement policy. I never ordered any of these policies and Ms. Laemmert fraudulently signed me up for these policies without my knowledge or consent. These fraudulent policies cost almost $200.00 per month and they had already stolen the money out of my bank account by the time that I called in and cancelled the policies. Furthermore, Ms. Laemmert lied to me about the cost of the dental policy which it turned out was another $169.00 per month. All told, these policies cost me almost $400.00 per month. I cancelled the policies and when I complained to Providence, the manager at Providence was horrified at what Velapoint and Anna Laemmert did to me and he told me that he was going to immediately suspend Velapoint from selling these policies. They are supposedly conducting an investigation into Ms. Laemmert's fraud, but in the meantime, I am filing a complaint with the Oregon Insurance Commisioner. I'm sure that Velapoint and Ms. Laemmert has defrauded many other unsuspecting customers of providence Health Plan. BTW, several emails sent directly to Ms. Laemmert asking for clarification were ignored
