Although Vardags explained to me that they were unable to help me in this instance, the service I received from Client Relations Assistant Eve was excellent. I cannot praise her enough for her time, compassion and consideration and whoever she spoke with, with regards to my circumstances. Despite being unable to help me, she compiled the notes and made a confident referral with another solicitor firm that Vardags highly recommended as an alternative to me. Eve kindly forward the summary notes she collated when discussing the points of my circumstances and someone from the alternative Firm got in touch with me a couple of days later and I hope to continue with them on a consultation basis. Eve was extremely patient and kind and I have nothing but nice things and praises for her. Eve, if you see this - thank you once more and best to you always.

Last year I was faced with one of my hardest challenges to date, an emergency family court case. Connecting with Sarah at vardags was the first step and she put me at ease straight away. Unethical phone call with the Client Relations Service. They kept me on hold for 30 minutes in what was described on their website as a "free consultation" only to tell me they wouldn't be able to comment as to whether they could help with my case or not without my financial information (they wanted to know how much cash I had saved in my bank). I explained I was comfortable with their fees and happy to share detailed financial information if I were to proceed them, and gave them a flavour of my finances - yet they still couldn't tell me whether it was case they could assist with? The next firm I spoke with said it's unethical of them to ask for financial information before saying whether they could assist with a case. It's also been a huge waste of time, they could have explained their policy within the first 10 seconds of the call rather than keep me on hold for half an hour. No other firm I spoke to this morning had any problem in giving swift feedback as to whether they could assist with my case or not.

Vardags service is exemplary and their legal support is excellent. Frank Ryan, Head of Litigation, is a highly skilled, insightful, talented and experienced lawyer. He is tremendously perceptive, judicious and dedicated to resolving matters with an abundance of pragmatism, lateral thinking, emotional intelligence, personality and human touch.

After ending up embroiled in very difficult litigation, I found Vardags a very personal service and immediately felt they were on my side, although they were rightly initially very tough with me in determining the exact facts - whether in my favour or not.

Ayesha"s email to staff about how they should dress is inappropriate. I prefer substance over style.

They over valued one party by twice as much in a divorce case, when all the numbers were clearly laid out and it was literally a case of adding up. Fortunately this was noticed by me (I'm not even a solicitor!). For the money, such rookie mistakes are unacceptable. If it was done by a trainee, it should have been checked by a senior. The party then had to pay their own solicitor to amend it. Disgraceful. At least get your sums correct, you deal in divorce! Not to mention they seem unpleasant, greedy and unnecessarily aggressive. They seem to have a very low ethical standard.
