During this difficult time of Covid-19 Vanderbilt mortgage and Finance has been extremely helpful they have Went the extra mile to help, I did has a pleasure to work with Mr. Tyler Kyle, while on the telephone with him I was very pleased via his work ethic, very understanding, warmth, patient and professional, Mr. Kyle s he would take his time and listen to you and try to help, He s very considerate and supportive. He go above and beyond.

Pennie was very friendly, patient, and explained things to me in a way that made me feel comfortable about what needed to happen. Times are tough For my family right now.

Times are tough For my family right now.
We have been our home for 4 years so far and we got behind on the payments. I was worried we might loose our home but i called Vanderbuilt up and a man that goes by the name Chris Bowman answered the call.
Was happy to help me to get back on track and work with me. It sure is nice to have good people that understand and willing to go that extra mile.

I called Vanderbilt today and first spoke with Julie, customer service representative.

She was very knowledgeable and went the extra yard in helping me pay off my home by getting authorization to over ride the standard amount allowed.
Not only that she was positive, friendly, and so patient .

I talked to other representatives and no one offered this convenient way to pay..... Especially with Covid 19 pandemic. This is what older people look for in service excellence.
Thank you for employing such a great employee.

Also I spoke with Regina who was also a big help, friendly and very positive.

So my hours have been cut at work but not enough for unemployment so I called them to see if they could help and the lady I spoke to was just rude and was like well everyone is being affected by this!! And then said well your stimulus check should help you get your April payment made like I don t have other bills falling behind. I definitely am switching to a better mortgage company once my credit gets better!!! Please know they don t work with you

We've had Vanderbilt as a mortgage company for over 20 years and they still call me the day of the due date ..I haven't forgotten my payment date in 20 years ..Had 2 mortgage claims after 2 hurricanes ..Have had the hardest time to get claim check from them to do my repairs ..But they can call me the day the payments due...smh ...They said they sent part of my claim check out on the 25th of Sept...Today's is Oct 6th ...still hasn't came ..I sent it to them and made it in 3 days ..All the people here think Vanderbilt has been good to yall but they're really just interested in their mortgaged property ..They will say everything you want to here ..but, you're still paying the bill...add it to the end and you'll pay all that accumulated interest ...Wont owe this company after Jan 2021 and I praise my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for it ahead of time...NEVER AGAIN WILL THEY HAVE OUR BUSINESS...!!!

I am having trouble financially because of COVID-19 and emergency vet, car repair, washing machine failure, and taxes. I needed to see if I could defer a mortgage payment. Sarah took my information and spoke with Sherry and they were able to get me payment deferral for not just one month, but two. I am so grateful. They were so understanding, reassuring and helpful. VMF has been nothing short of wonderful for my fam...

VMF has been nothing short of wonderful for my family and I so far. I was initially approved almost 2 years ago, but decided to wait. I came back to them again this Summer when I purchased my home. Laura Tinney was just perfect for us! She was so nice! No matter how many times I called her with crazy questions, she was always happy to help me. She ALWAYS called me back the same day if I had left a message for her. Vanderbilt really made my home purchase experience amazing. I was able to go online and pre-qualify. They are so helpful from the very beginning, letting you know what to expect at different stages of the loan process. This was very helpful because it made everything get completed timely and I wasn't stressed or overwhelmed at all. It was a wonderful experience dealing with this company and I have already recommended to a friend here at work.

My family and I have been consumed with the effects of the current pandemic that everybody is facing right now. I have been very worried about how to stay on top of all of the monthly bills including our mortgage. Today I spoke to a gentleman, Tyler Kyle, who was very sincere and supportive. I was unaware that there are other options for paying my mortgage, during COVID-19, that turned out to be very helpful. I very much appreciate the information he shared and I definitely recommend calling Vanderbilt Customer Service if anyone else is struggling at this time.

We finalized everything and are expected to close in the next couple weeks but I couldn t wait to compliment my team. Every person I ve spoke with at Vanderbilt has been amazing and so helpful! Sara specifically, my FHA processor, has answered every question quickly with no judgement and has calmed all my fears. Buying a home is scary and she made me feel like she held our hand through it. Not only does she do her job efficiently but she is so personable and established a good rapport with us immediately. I have no complaints and a thousand praises!

I have had the worse time with this company saying one thing and doing another without even telling me what s actually going on!! Sarah (I believe her name is) has not helped me at all with anything and with this being my first time home buying experience you would think it would be a dream come true but it has been the complete opposite. I would give this company negative 2 stars if it would let me. This company as done nothing but make me feel like I am just a waste of there time!!! Thanks!!!

I am a Judicial Assistant and ran into a situation I hadn't faced before on a case. First time dealing with Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, Inc.
I had been searching for 3 hours trying to find an actual human being with whom to speak. From the first click on Vanderbilt's website, I located a phone number. Skeptical if I would find any one to talk with, I tried. From "Hello' to "Goodbye", I dealt with one amazing lady. Heather Apperson. She not only answered my questions but helped me in locating the forms and explaining the processes I would need. I was so relieved and thankful, I had to take a moment out to leave this review and hope she sees it, as well as, those with whom she works. Heather was awesome!

Got approved for the loan amount, but hey wait the...

Got approved for the loan amount, but hey wait they won't finance land over 10 acres! That would have been helpful information to know before they did a credit check drag our credit score through the mud, as is in every case! The offer was for the acre's, but instead of saying that first thing, the just went ahead with the loan process. Then asked if we can have the land owner just sell us 10 acres? Pis poor business. Could have saved us the credit hit on the inquiry by being upfront in the first place.

I have had a problem with my payments which increased in March or April 2020. I started calling Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance in April 2020. I have never met/spoken wtih employees who were and are so understanding and helpful. As of today 9/24/2020 I called Vanderbilt and spoke with Mattie who informed me my payments have been reduced. I want to take this opportunity to give kudos and praise to Mattie, Jenny, Missy, Kandace, Melissa and I pray I have not left anyone off. Vanderbilt kudos to your company for having the BEST employees I have ever encountered. God bless these employees and this company.

Don't believe the fake good reviews. This company is owned by billionaire Warren Buffet, they pay people to write their good (fake) reviews. If you want honest opinions from real customers, read the 1 star reviews. All they offer is predatory lending on poor people who can't afford a traditional home mortgage. The staff is rude and talk to you like you're a piece of trash (how they honestly think of poor people). One day, you will all answer for and pay for your treatment of other human beings in this life, including you, Warren Buffet.

I just want to say that i have had the most helpful experiences when dealing with Kendra Geer and Andrew Bogard. I have had some issues over the life of my loan and they have been understanding and went far and above to help me get my loan issues resolved. I would recommend them to anyone as well as Vanderbilt if you are needing a home. they will work with you beyond all measures if you are trying your best to make ends meet and then something pops up and is beyond your ability and get behind in your payments. They are the best!!!

I would like to personally thank Vanderbilt and especially Dylan Faith. He has had the absolute best communication and customer service that I've experienced in a very long time.
He has been completely transparent with me during this tough time and all he asked was communication on my part and he would do all that he could to help me out.
The company as a whole has been absolutely great since my mother passed away. They helped with the transition and gave me time to grieve and also gave me the proper documents that I needed to fill out.
I'm extremely thankful for them as well as Dylan Faith.

Clayton homes, finances by Vanderbilt, took my 70 year old Mother for a terrible experience, that literally worried her to death. A single family unit , when she would have paid the last note, a total of 161000 was expected. She was never happy with this, they initially told her her payment would be 500 and some , however it was way over that, when she got behind, years later, they offered no good assistance, she filed bankruptcy, however that didn't help, they just screwed her all kinds of ways and yes she secured her loan with land too, so now they have it all, they would not work with my family to take over note, without paying thousands, I could not.so in the upcoming weeks my family will be homeless, first last week they said we would get 1000 relocation assistance after the final paperwork , then today she says 500 in two weeks, well I need to talk with my attorney, cuz this is rediculous. Avoid Vanderbilt Mortgage, and take care of your elderly family members, because they will take them for what they can.

Mandy Rushing has far exceeded my expectations! She was so prompt in the process so far getting us financed for our new home.

I worked with customer service Christy and she was wonderful. Best customer service i ever came across and i work in the line of business. She was professional, knowledgeable, and knew her resources well. To top it all off, she sounded very personable and i can hear the smile thru the phone. Her and her alone made my day. I called back later to follow up and got Sam on the phone. She was Just as good but i only needed a service done over the phone, but if i was starting a new business. id like to have these ladies run my customer service. I don't know what y'all get paid, but give theses ladies a raise. They deserve it. Be blessed!

I was behind on my mortgage due to the pandemic,and with the help of Dylan Faith and Ryan King I was able to keep my home and they were very nice and considerate while working hard on my account to come up with a program that was more than generous. If you are behind on your payments please give them a call they are doing everything to help I am a witness because they helped me and I am sure they can help you too.

My wife called our VMF to see if we qualified for ...

My wife called our VMF to see if we qualified for the Covid19 help program, while talking to the man about it she told him that I had lost a months work do to covid19 shutting us down and that the following month she had to have cervical surgery and was out of work for two and a half months and we were just staying afloat barely but instead of going through with the covid program could we just set up a payment so we could catch our breaths, we are both back to work now and by next month we should be back on track. The man on the phone said let me see if I can get a manager to talk to you, well he came back and said everyone had left for the holiday weekend (Labor Day) so we figured we would just pay our house payment and figure the rest out, when the man on the phone said hold on I just had a manager reach out to me and within about five minutes we were approved for the extension. I have been very pleased with this mortgage company before but now I think they are very interested in their consumers problems as well as their own.

These people are crooks. I m trying to pay off my loan because I have had to sell unexpectedly. Their reps can t keep their story straight. I was told a payoff amount last Monday, today I went to make the last payment. Now that number has gone up by $1,000. Because someone decided to not apply my payments to the principal balance as I had instructed. They re refusing to help. If I could give them no stars I would. DO NOT FINANCE THROUGH THEM.

Jeff, my customer service rep was very helpful and understanding. During this difficult time of Covid-19, don't like to ask for help, my husband is in the hospital and we have four kids in college which we are paying tuition on two of them. He was so helpful on getting us the help we need! The customer services Reps with Vanderbilt Mortgage really understand and are very helpful. I am very pleased with Vanderbilt the process is not painful at all you are kept up to date and well informed as to what is going on. The people I dealt with were fantastic, friendly, caring and when I got the "Congratulations you are a homeowner " I Believe they truly meant what they said. Not every loan is the same sometimes you run into problems and this time we did and Vanderbilt saved the day by hurrying this loan along to meet closing date, not a lot of lending institutions will do that. I made the right choice.

Vanderbilt stole my Land that my husband and I worked so hard for and our escrow robotic signatures my land was free and clear a revolving mortgage payment to a ballon Mortgage mobile home came from Trillion Project (Escambia Treating Company )in Pensacola Florida where Escambia arms was located so many lives lost people still sick from Chimicals Chronic illnesses moved it onto my property have Doctors notes and Hospital records you didn't get a way Vanderbilt Im beliving God for a lawsuit someone God will vindicate us in this matter crooks people do your homework run dont let them munipulate you into thinking they are innocent decent people scammers Greg & Michelle I know you moved your family and business God hasnt forgotten you will stand in judgment of your dirty deeds and get your employees off this sight lieing getting even family to say you're honest all of you should be jailed

I have had the pleasure of working with some exceptional individuals during the difficulties cased by the pandemic and would like to recognize them for the approach and concern shown during these difficult times. Seth helped answer my questions immediately. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable, he was happy to assist and made sure to explain the answers to each question until I thoroughly understood. Me being an Insurance Agent who speaks to Loan Officers/Mortgage company coordinators daily, this was by far the most positive experience I've had. Really look forward to calling Vanderbilt in the future!

We started working with Vanderbilt in March or Apr...

We started working with Vanderbilt in March or April of this year thinking that we were going to purchase a home with them. We found a home that was a foreclosure property that had two separate single wides on the same lot. So we started the loan process as you normally would and slowly we started to understand just how much they really didn t know about the process. The first month was rough because it was a special situation of two homes on one property with separate address, (they agreed on a price and a interest rate prior to the issue you re about to read) they give us a call one day about half way into month 1 and explain to us that they are willing to do the financing but they wanted more for down payment and more on interest, we were obviously not okay with that considering our interest rate was outrageous to begin with, not to mention already agreed apon . So me and my mother in law spoke with them about how unfair it was for them to do that because they didn t know that the property they literally owned had two separate houses on it that couldn t be sold as one. That was frustration one of a million really. They wouldn t call to tell us what we needed to get in, they wouldn t take our calls, and they wouldn t help us with any questions we had. When we finally did get them on the phone they would tell us that they would call us right back with an answer and never did. So that drew our process out longer. Finally we got past the initial paperwork and it was time for electrical inspections, appraisals, etc. I get a phone call at 7am asking if I can go let the inspectors into the house, no problem, they were there to do what we needed. My husband texts me and tells me that it wasn t the inspection that they were there for it was the appraisal. So when I call Vanderbilt nobody knows why they contacted me or why they were even there that day. They knew nothing. So then we ask about the electrical inspection that was supposed to be done (the power to one of houses wasn t on. We were going on month two of asking them to get it taken care of) and they tell us that they don t yet even have the title to that home! How on earth do you put a house up for sale but you don t even have the title So then they have to go to court and here we are at month 3. Still no power, still no real organization. I had to constantly call them to keep them on task. Hey I ve been trying to reach you all day, can we get this done let me talk with this person and give you a call back two days later I call again and get voicemail. Finally we are on month 4 I believe and we finally have the power on and we are excited. So then they hit us with. Hey we were supposed to have these papers in that I never asked you for, how quick can You get them. So it took time for that as well as other things that needed to be done. So we are entering month 5. Finally everything is done we close in 2 weeks, awesome we are extremely excited and ready to move in to the home we have been waiting for for 5 months. And we get a call 2 weeks before we close yes uhm well. The two homes share a septic tank so we can t do it, sorry we were unaware that it was the case HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW. ITS YOUR HOUSE, and so there we were with 5 months of literally pulling teeth to get out home and nothing to show for it. I can t even begin to describe the amount of unprofessionalism that we received, not to mention the amount of time that had been waisted. It s a shame really. I can t tell you how many people throughout the process asked us questions because they either hadn t looked at the property at all or just didn t bother to know what they needed to. I would never do business with them again.

Vanderbilt Mortgage is a company I will NEVER do business with again. For 20 years I have made my payments on time and in full. I have been bullied by customer service representatives, who were Constantly hounding me. Always trying to make me feel insecure about my investment. I have waited until my loan was paid in full and with title in hand, free and clear from Vanderbilt's grip to write this review, I have been waiting 20 years to say my piece.
If you are looking for a good company to finance your home with than Vanderbilt is NOT the company for you.. they are crooked and given the chance they will cheat you if possible. Other people who I know also financed with them and they too are very dissatisfied with the service received from this company. If you don't mind being degraded and treat as if you are insignificant than this is your company. Fair Warning tho, years upon years of being talked down too and your loyalty for your business will NOT amount for anything in the end.
Please heed this warning: do some research and check out all your options before getting a loan with Vanderbilt mortgage .. this company is large enough to NOT care about the little guy, who sacrifices each month to make that important payment will NOT matter to them.
I'm so glad to be DONE with you Vanderbilt!!!!
